I admire Joe, but this must be one of the worst presentations ever. It doesn't have the "fast" factor and definitely not fun. Maybe it was the screaming in the microphone, maybe the bad photos.....
While we appreciate everyone has a different opinion, we loved watching this legendary photographer in action, and the audience did too! If you're looking for something else, we've got a variety of videos on our page to explore.
I agree, and I’m a huge fan of Joe, who I consider the best US photographer and educator. I watched him live in 2020 when he first presented that photo of Jerry at WPPI, and his tone, speed, level, and overall presence were “normal” meaning excellent as usual. He doesn’t sound like himself here.
@@luzyeI think the noisy venue might have affected his delivery. The man is an absolute master of lighting and a great educator. I believe the setup did not serve him well..
@@trisinogy I think so, too. I love Joe. He is one of the 3 master photographers I look up to --I am waiting to be able to attend one of his multi-day workshops, actually!
Where were the tips for funny portraits? The flash photos were pretty terrible for me, except maybe the last one. And honestly, is it easy if you need a fill light in addition to the flash in one hand?
Sorry to hear you didn’t find the tips as helpful. We believe Joey demonstrated some excellent lighting techniques that can really enhance portrait photography.
It's always a joy to watch Joe
Thank You Joe for this presintation. You are a true artist.
Joe McNally is the GOAT 🐐🥇
💯
Superb presentation. 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Joe nailed it!
Great Video!!!
The master at his best!
Couldn't have said it better!
Joe McNally is the man who dominates the use of light in photography and is a master of fantastic photographic lighting.
I’m a beginner, so it was an eye opening session for me.
Nikon needs to clone this guy and ship him all over the world. He's by far their best portrait / people ambassador.
Agreed 🤩
Joe is the man
what flashes and equipment is he using? Surprised it wasn't listed in the description
first shots were not using eye detect
It's curious that he uses Dynamic Area AF mode in this situation. I wonder why?

The audience was awful. Lots of background noise, yet the people who were watching seemed listless.

You could done that just by increasing shutter speed
