Good solution to the slippy ladder issue. Openreach have to attach a rawlbolt to the building now, and rope it in. Even for 9ft up a bungalow wall, if a supervisor sees em up a ladder not roped in, instant dismissal. The rawlbolts they use are kinda cool tho, only a 6mm hole, and the fixing bit remains in the brickwork for future works, they just have to screw an eyebolt in
Great install Nick. Good to see someone doing the basics and enjoying the results of his work. Happy to see you safely supporting the ladders. Shame there is no cheap simple tower or mini type cherry picker suitable for such work?
I installed the very same units a couple of weeks ago.had to silione seal all round, drill a drain hole at bottom, they have bad lP rating.also the wires are very brittle and thin had to crimp solid core wire to fit to Wagos.

Nick, the screws for the flood light may be outdoor compatible but the zinc washers aren't. They will rust and will cause rust stains long term. More correctly would the be galv or stainless screws and washers if necessary. Usually I'd use roofing screws (tek).
Fitted a couple of them Knightsbridge outdoor sockets, had them replaced twice by Knightsbridge because the socket faces kept breaking because the socket is really poor quality and the locking tabs snap off the lid. Gave up and changed them out with the Click Scolmore outdoor sockets, much better quality and had no issues with them, won't touch Knightsbridge now as its such poor quality, also had issues with their outdoor lights and water ingress.
The only risk with it is if the piece of wood at the bottom of the ladder pushes up (if the sides aren’t perfectly square) it could flip out and the ladder slide. But highly unlikely.
Done something similar with my ladder working on a slippery deck. The other thing I do if going above ground floor is put an eye bolt in the wall (14mm hole for the anchor) and use climbing loops, carabiners and a ratchet strap to tie the ladder to the wall so it can’t slip out the bottom. Better is 2x bolts and tie on at each side so it can’t move sideways either. Saw it first with Openreach who have the fancy Tetra system that does the same thing.
Jeepers, that render looked awesome until you switched the wall lights on !! Love the lights though, the effect is awesome !
Another great video mate. Where did the long wall lights come from? They look awesome
Yes they look great! I know few customers who'd be interested in something similar

I think Sky TV us similar. I have 2 of the fixings in my wall under the (defunct) sky dish

I was confused from the video title but now that makes sense! 😂😀

No way, i've got those exact same lights, replaced the LEDs with WLED addressable ones, looks ace
What lights are they? And how did you place the leds for addressable ones?

Looks mint and great work around with ladders. More reliable than Matthew ever footing them lol.
Once reversed van up to foot ladder. If it works it works
Awesome lights Nick! Cheers
Where are those vertical lights from mate?
Great stuff, though the lights show up the slight flaws in the rendering ...
They’re from MOD lighting it seems. Haylen fitting

Though some of the better looking outdoor gear imo.
@@UCCLdIk6R5ECGtaGm7oqO-TQ Yup looks nice but is poor quality
I was wondering way you didn’t ask the guy in the high viz. To foot the ladder 🤪
What are those 3 lights you are using, they look sick and I want them on my house!!
Them long wall lights are a pain in the **** to fit, if it’s the ones that come with 2 seperate brackets
That's not a dangerous setup for a ladder, and if anyone thinks that is dangerous I guess they work in an office and have never done any DIY

Another great video Nick
Should've done what I did today, used my phone to bash in a rawlplug. You're a bad influence on me
Have you got a link for those lights?
Where are the lights from?
Are those slate tiles? I know to my cost they are lethal when wet.
Good work Nick , but personally I wouldn't have such lights on my house...
Ok on a shop I guess 😂
They’d look shite on your bed sit
