    Steve it's great you're keeping the great British phone box alive, as there aren't many about on the streets of the U K now, most are either scrapped or put into people's gardens for decoration.     What a great idea!! Our local woodworking club has a yearly contest using one standard 2 x 4...never seen an idea like this come out of their contest...very unique indeed! Great job and project.

    I was just going to sleep and somehow making a telephone booth to decorate my room was the thing that crossed my mind ! 😀 . I love it since I was a kind 😆

    That's cool, I would love to build one and put an actual old style wall hanging phone in it just for a laugh. I think I would have done the signs in Perspex so they illuminate a bit better but with studio lighting it probably doesn't do it justice. That was really neat Steve, great project. You need to do the matching blue Dr Who/Police box now!

      Ha ha! The chocolate was still in there. lol It was kind of sealed from the paint. I had to let it dry though to get to the chocolate, so that was poor planning.

    Nice work on the phone box. Nice to see someone making a good old fashioned phone box. We don't see to many of these these days. The councils took 99% of them away.

    Hi Steve, I picked up on all your UK references there! What a talented designer you are! I do miss seeing as many of the old phone boxes around, I even saw one turned into an AQUARIUM! recently. You cannot beat Cadbury's chocolate, even if the recipe has changed recently.....and it is now owned by an American company! Kind Regards Steve. N.

    Hi Steve. Just to clarify : a police box was a kiosk or booth (lol) , very similar to the red telephone box, painted dark blue, which contained a telephone that was a direct line to the local police station, and members of the public were allowed to use it, as well as police officers . Dr Who's TARDIS was based on a 1960s design of police box. Hope that helps.
