Thanks! Yeah, I used to avoid tilting my blade once I had it dead on 90 deg and didn't want to mess it up, but now it's actually fun doing stuff with angles.
Steve, Those are some really nice holders! Excellent demonstrations and videography! Glad you have found some time to produce more videos for us to enjoy!
A nice enjoyable project Steve. Thanks for stressing the safety aspect of cutting angles on the table saw buddy. Approach it from a different angle (ha ha). All the best from the tiny workshop in deepest Lancashire UK
Hi Steve, great vid. I like all sorts of wooden projects, but the kinda smaller ones, like this I just love. Video well done, good looking project. Thanks for posting.
Great vid stevie... I was thinking of putting small molding around the bottom and tops of them. Seen it somewhere on youtube. You did an excellent job my friend as always. Will be putting a link into my woodworking faebook group!!! God Bless...
Thanks Michael! I like the molding idea. I planned to use the table saw to cut some shallow decorative lines around the outside of one of them, but forgot.
You should turn your table saw around and put it next to your work bench and use your bench as a out feed table it's more safer than letting the wood fall of the saw
I think I might try that. The only issue might be the width of the fence rails. They can be real hip gougers. Worth a shot though. I do need some outfeed support.
You should adapt your designs for the new Inventables challenge. If you have software such as Vectric V-carve Desktop, you can cut the miters with a V bit.
Great. I see these as more than just pencil boxes...one of them reminded me of bird house..lol...they are cool, but all this math makes my head hurt...LOL..
Steve forgive me for being so dumb but I could not quite get the creasing of the paper. Do you then add the depth of the dados to the crease. Thank you for being patient with me. Dumb Australian
Steve, your videos are so full of energy, so wel explained and you always make great stuff. I'm a fan! keep making stuff!
Thank you very much! I intend to make more stuff more often. Thanks for watching!
Such enthusiasm!! Love that vertical jig
Thank you Terri!
Loved the vertical cutting jig
Thanks, that thing comes in handy for lots of cuts.
Steve, nice project.
Great build Steve! I really need to get one of those gauges!
Thanks! Yeah, I used to avoid tilting my blade once I had it dead on 90 deg and didn't want to mess it up, but now it's actually fun doing stuff with angles.
I know its hard but love seeing you in the workshop more regularly as we all know its going to be good. You explain and make it look easy!
Thanks! It's just kind of hot these days, but I'm enjoying making stuff more often now.
Those are very useful and fun to do, thanks for sharing!!!!
I'm excited to watch the video on making the pencils !!! 😝
Ha ha, I'd need Andy Klien's pencil maker jig.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos! You make things look so simple!
Those look pretty cool
Thank you John!
Great video and boxes look awesome.
Thank you Karen!
Creased paper template... Brilliant! Great to see new content Steve. Cheers, Chris.
Thanks Chris! Yeah, I've done the crease thing before but don't think I ever showed it in a video. Works perfectly.
Great video Steve. I like your 90 degree jig you used to make the parts for the triangular box. Really good idea.
Hey Paul, thanks! It's a simple jig but comes in handy a lot for making cuts where your hands would get too close to the blade.
Nice work Steve. I like the triangle one the most.
Thank you Steve 😊
Thanks!
Always great to see new uploads from the Carmichael Workshop ! Great tip with the post it notes ! I'd never thought of that :)
Thanks man! Somehow I ended up with stacks of post it notes, so gotta use them for something.
More great ideas. Creasing the paper and using post it notes are clever ideas.
Great video 👍🏼
Thanks!
Nice video you make things look easy they look great and you all ways look so happy
Thanks Harvey!

Hey Mac! Thanks! This was gonna be a quick one, but took me all day to make and shoot. Enjoying getting back into the swing of things.
Your still at it ol' buddy. Glad to see you still going strong.
Yep, like the Energizer bunny.
Bravo 👏 un altro grande video
Gracias Brian! Suddenly I want tacos and cheese dip. lol
Actually it’s Italian want some lasagna instead? Mmm...

Thanks! Yeah, the cuts for the triangle are kind of tricky.
Nice job, Steve. Now you need to make a round one on your lathe 😉
Thanks John! Yes you are right, I do. That would be a good skill builder for me on the lathe.
Neat looking pencil boxes Steve! Thanks for sharing them with us.👌👍😎JP

I have 40 ruined cups that I put pencils in. Maybe I could make these to hold the cups. 🤣
Hmm, what could you make with 40 cups?...
I live the simplicity but nice look, will be making some of those. Nice project.
Thanks! They are fun to make. I want to make a 7-sided one, whatever that is called.
Septagon is a 7 sided shape, so septa-pencil-agon ? 🤔🤭🤭🤭😆😆😆😆
💯💯💯👏♥️👏👏 share 👍
Thank you Giovanni!
Nice Job, slightly red-in-the-faced Starving Youngun! Now if I could only get someone to send me a pencil..............
Whew, it was not. Had to take several A/C breaks lol...
@@SteveCarmichael You better. Don't need you vapor locking!
Nice work! That would only take me three weeks and look like Homer’s spice rack.
Hey, thanks! lol, nah you could do better than Homer.

Hi Harry - I will have to look into that. Sounds like a good learning opportunity.
Did you make that blade guard for the micro jig or is that an accessory?
Hey, it's an accessory - amzn.to/2WzkLUw
Great. I see these as more than just pencil boxes...one of them reminded me of bird house..lol...they are cool, but all this math makes my head hurt...LOL..
Thanks Robert! The angles are fun with that angle gauge. I used to hate messing up my perfectly set 90 degree blade.
