I made a replica of telephone box by name Kiosk No. 2
I edited more than 450 clips - or more than 8 hours of raw video into 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
All your questions will be answered in the follow-up video.
Special thanks:
Barbara Morales - for all the love and support you give me. And for dealing with my craziness! I love you!
Les Kenny from Build Eazy (build plans and an awesome page!!!)
www.buildeazy.com/k2phone-0.ht...
Les, I'm forever thankful.
Your plans are precise and well made!
Even though I changed many things (lack of materials available where I live) it made the build so easy since I had all the measures ready. Thank You!
Research and thanks to:
www.henderson-tele.com/kiosk/k... (great history facts)
www.the-telephone-box.co.uk/ki...
Google search engine for K2 kiosk
Miguel Romo - for providing great looking garden for the K2 and supporting my work.

Awesome build! Really impressive amount of work and I like the pace of the video and how it was put together - thumbs up!
John Heisz Thank you very much John, I love your work and videos!
John Heisz I was thinking that while watching, not only an amazing build, but put it into one video very nicely!
That was a huge, and really cool project! Especially impressed by your jigsaw skills on the crown.
Peter Brown Thank you for sharing Peter, much appreciated!
That (put mean words here) 4 crown patterns took forever to make,
I was dreaming for a CNC machine making them!
I love my new jigsaw but this was some workout.
Cheers!
Andrea you did a amazing job on the phone box,it was a true pleasure to watch all the beautiful trim and molding making you did,it was incredible to watch the entire build, thank you very much for sharing, you really to this to the next level, all the best to you and yours
Ron Sanford Thank you very much for the kind words and your continued support Ron! Cheers
My hat off to you Andrea. This is impressive project and one of the most interesting ones this year in the woodworking and maker community. Thanks for sharing this.
It is unbelievable what nice things you can build with very easy machines! Respect !
Thank you very much, even less machines could be used to make this.
Of course the time of build process is longer then.
Cheers
Fantastic build. Goes to show you dont need fancy tools, or even a workshop do get stuff done.
Svaka čast majstore.
ot0m0t0 No need for fancy tools, everything is in your imagination and creativity. Hvala puno! Lijepi pozdrav
Wow. That was a lot of work! I cant believe you got that video so short. you put in so much detail into that phone box.
Jared S Thanks, I was thinking to make two parts but I didn't like that idea. Still I miss a lot of details.
Wow Andrea! I grew up around these "phone boxes" and pretty much took them for granted, they were beautiful pieces of our country's history and now they are fast disappearing. Your piece is the best copy I have EVER seen! and for it to be made from wood aswell, amazing. Congratulations on a great project! Well done. N.
Neil George Thank you very much for the kind words Neil! The Telephone boxes are beautiful pieces of protected structures in the UK, I hope they conserve them. Actually the first K2 prototypes were build entirely out of wood and only one is still in use at the entrance to the Royal Academy!!

Thank you for the link, I found it very interesting. N.
Good job, phone box looks great.
Francis Barnett Thanks Francis!
You're the man. I can't believe all the details you put on your phone booth. Maybe it will serve as a second house if Barbara throw you out....
***** Thank you Alain! It was a lot of detail work. If Barbara kicks me out I'm coming to sleep to your shop in Canada, I already sold my dog house, haha :D
Andrea Arzensek You're welcome to stay in the shop, but I don't know if you.ll like our winters?
***** I think I'll manage the Canadian winter, I'm from Croatia after all :)
What an amazing amount of work! Could easily have been a 6-part video. I think you have mastered the jigsaw to a degree I have never seen. Great build.
Michael Anderson Thank you very much Michael! I didn't want to bore people with 29-part series haha.
I have a lot to learn with the jigsaw, but thank you for the compliment! Oddly enough it is probably my favorite tool to use (since I replaced my old one)
Nice build, thanks for sharing!
Scrap wood City Thanks!
That looks absolutely amazing! and built to last with caulk.
Heavyboxes Thank you :)
Absolutely outstanding work.
+Barnacle Blimp Thank you, Sir!
You best project yet!!!! Inspiring!!!
Fabricio R N Thank you very much Fabricio!
That looks awesome, very impressive build!
Matt Williams Thank you very much Matt!
Absolutely beautiful
Huge build. And you are a master with the jig saw.
Make Crazydays Thank you, I'm still an apprentice with that jig saw, there are many things left to learn.
Amazing build Andrea, I love your videos, always so creative!
Lane Bros WoodShop Thank you very much Matt! Love yours, too!
Wow what a great job
Huge project! You did an excellent job building and video editing 8 hours into 11 mins! Both the project and the video are enormous tasks! Good job Andrea!
Cy's Corner Thank you very much Cy, it was a lot of work!
This only took 8 hours???
8 hours of recording time. I built it in my free time when not working. It took me about 3 months.
if only this old phone booth would take ose to ministry of magic that would be cool
Iconic and architecturally brilliant you have done a great job of replicating the Red Telephone Box
Indeed brilliant! Thank you for your kind words :)
Could of sworn that was metal before watching video! Very nice talent you have there!
Thank you Daniel 😊
That's a lot of work. Good job Andrea! Thanks for share.
Woodworking Barcelona Muchas gracias! Saludos!
Awesome & terrific!!
Incredible, just incredible!!
Thank you Warren!
I have often wondered what it would take to produce a replica of the classic K2 Telephone Kiosk.
I found watching this very well edited video of skill & love of detail to
be most satisfying. It is rare to see the end product of such skill quickly materialize within minutes.
Thank you for a very nice, satisfying video! 😀
Thank you J!
It took me about 3 months to finish but I was working 8-20h at the time so only weekends were possible.
es lo mas chingon que he visto
+Miguel Angel Perez Cruz Mas chingon comentario :) Y la viste en persona, gracias Miguel!
Amazing work ...well done
Thank you 😊
Cheers
This is so good!
Nice detailing.
Greg Betts Thanks Greg!
Beautiful I really like it
We salute you! Brilliant!
Thank you very much Simon! Cheers
Wow the amount of work you put into this project is commendable in itself but even more impressive is your skills with a jigsaw. Very precise, I don't think I could have done it better with a scrollsaw.. Lol.. The end result is awesome. Great work Andrea!
Moy perez woodshop Thank you for your support Moy!
I don't have a scroll saw so I use my DW jigsaw...I love that tool!
Cutting crowns (4 of them) was pain-in-the-butt but after hours of work I did it and I was very pleased with the outcome!
Incredible and great building video to watch. I really enjoyed your building approach a lot, thank you!
Thank you very much Maurice! Greetings from Croatia
Dude! You have a Diresta like talent! I enjoy your videos immensely! Thank you!
+Henry Robinson WOW, comparing me with DiResta, that means a LOT! Thank you Henry!
+Andrea Arzensek you make anything from any stuff you have with whatever tools you have.
That's freakin amazing
Great job!
Youbones You're one freaking amazing follower! Thank you!
Well done Andrea!

Wow, great job! I am going to build this but in miniature, you have really inspired me!
Thanks man! Good luck with your scaled model!
Cool box!!
+Алексей Smokingwood Spasibo!
Amazing job Andrea! I really enjoyed the video, well done! I need to get my hands on some of those magic nails at 3:44 ;)
Carl Jacobson Thanks Carl! I swear those nails were entering by themselves!
Wow - that is great!
Tim's Woodworking Thanks Tim!
This is so beautiful ❤️ great job 👌
Thank you Nissi
Oh my God you built one that’s like really authentic it’s sturdy🙀 Impressive don’t think I could do this though
Very cool! Nice job.
GarageWoodworks Thank you Brian, I really appreciate it!
Review later
hello!. Good work!. I also like the English phone booth!. I'm working on for wine. thank you.
It's a great job!!! I'm very impressed. But you know, a simplest router and a cheap nail gun could have saved you a lot of time and effort. Standing ovation!
Thank you very much Igor.
Wish I had those tools when I made it. But that also proves the point that you don't need shitload of tools nor even a dedicated workshop. Nowadays I have accumulated "many" tools and many people complain that they don't have the tools or place to make it. Use all the tools you have that make the job easier and faster.
Cheers
wow, very impressive
Thank you Ian.
WOW, THAT IS AMAZING!!!!
+jp woodwork Thanks man!
Wow thats is beautiful telephone box excellent work right now came out really beautiful I really love with you done I really love watching your video have a very nice evening
Vera Relerford Thank you very much Vera, you have a great evening as well!
You are so very welcome
one thing missing are the directories that use to be inside hanging down from shelf. Else, great job.
That's fantastic! That must have taken ages to plan & build!
Steve SteveS Thank you Steve, it took quite some time but it is awesome!
Amazing video! I noticed this version was 4 seconds longer than the spanish version so I had to watch both xD. This is a great example, you don't need a fancy workshop to build great things :)
Cactus! workshop Thank you Carlos! The intro on Spanish version is shorter, hence the 4 seconds! Thanks for watching!
Awesome ❤❤
Awesome!!!
Freaking incredible! Do an American style 1940s booth next! They are a lot less fancy, but still just as cool!
Thank you Paddy. I will definitely consider it for the future :)
Great work, I need to show it to my brother he want to make something like that as a alkohol cabinet, when he will move back to Poland. I hope he will not ask me to do it, too much work for me, but who knows ;)
Thanks for sharing and for link to plans
***** Thank you KK! I hope you'll send me some pics when done :)
Cheers!
Much nicer and cleaner than the real thing on my street corner.
Definitely, I was recently in London and I was disappointed with the condition of Boxes there. Still it was amazing to see them originally made in their native location. Cheers
Master Craftsman!
Am considering building
a smaller version to
cover my well pump
here in Florida. 🌞
That is awesome Tebel! Good luck with your build. Greetings from Croatia
Good job 👌👍
Thanks!
beautiful
Excellent! Building up all the moldings with such limited tools, and so many nails! I wanted to send you my nail gun to help out but I'm afraid you already finished it ;)
krtwood Thanks Kevin! After so many nails pounded in I would appreciate someone sending me a nail gun, since you're the first one to offer I'll shortly e-mail you my mailing address and a thank you note.
PS actually I dreaded for a router to make all that molding, instead I used hand plane and sandpaper to do it (router came later).
Damn it - my shop is like I'm a woodworker of the 16th century - OK, with just few power tools - don't tell me that Michelangelo didn't use laser CNC to cut that David statue :)
great vid Andrea you may have to go a long way out to find a real Phone box here in england that's not be vandalised
Andrea! Wow! I am truly amazed at what you do with the tools and work space that you have. Great Job! Was that a project for yourself or for someone else?
Saw Dust Maker Thank you very much! It is for me :)
wow!! very cool!
Gracias Scarlet!
+Andrea Arzensek :)
amazing......
Thanks!
Bravooooo
Excellent
Thanks
Wow!!! It's amazing!!!
Full of molding and beauty details!
How long did it takes to build it?
Great work Andrea!
Christian Zanni Thank you Christian. It took really long, around 2 months.
amazing.
+Joker Girl Thnks
ur welcome
I have to say, what brilliant workmanship and your phone box is fantastic. I hope you don't mind me asking, are you a carpenter by trade or work with wood in some capacity? I wish I had your skills. I'd probably lose a couple of fingers on the first day lol. Great job mate :-)
Thank you very much Austin! I'm self taught woodworker.
I've learned (and still learning) from other woodworkers here on YT and from many woodworking books. My father used to be a carpenter but only working with sheets, still he is very talented with wood.
Please don't loose your fingers, always think the cut through and if you don't feel safe there are many other ways to make the cut.
Cheers!
Just watched your video excellent 👌 just wondered what the black tar type product used on the top is called .
Thank you Frederick.
It is tar used for asphalt. But if I were to make it again, I'd use epoxy with fiberglass (like boat building).
I’m building one for my pub
Oh me encanto!
Suerte! Saludos desde Croacia
Wow thats pretty cool. How long in real time did this project take you to build? Also what species of solid wood are you using? Thanks again.
whitewolf8758 Thank you! It took approx 2 months. I only have Fridays off and there are also weather elements so I don't know exactly how much time it took - but sure it was a large project.
whitewolf8758 Species are: Red Cedar (structure), White Cedar (trim) and Guanacaste (flooring). All weather resistant species. I'll give more details in a follow-up video.
Nice
het houtdraaierke :)
Great Video just subscribed to your channel, tried the Build easy link but it didn't go through, what materials did you use to build this? I'm working on making my own New York style phone booth and could really use some tips as far as what material I would need. Thanks and awesome job!!
Please share, thank you!
So cool! :)
But for what you build it? You just wanted that in your back yard or you had some order for British telephone box?
Sandra Bušaite Thanks! Look up on my channel for the follow up video...cheers!
Hi Really impressed any chance of a copy of plan and or measurments?
Find it in the description. Cheers
This is amazing! How much money did it take you to make this?
+Dazzling Diamond Christine about 500 USD. Thank you for watching!
This was amazing work. How long did making process take you overall ?
I couldn't tell exactly but it was like 3 months working on weekends mostly. It also took longer because of filming.
Greetings from Croatia
@@AndreaArzensek aww wow thank you for recording it and greetings From London.
Do u have the list of material needed?
I found your channel from a comment you left on a Diresta Vlog. I'm the one who made the small model phone booth featured in his video. This is such an impressive build! I think you got the scale and proportions just right. What kind of reference material did you work from?
Hey Kevin,
Your build is great, I know from this one that even the small model must have taken long time to finish. My phone booth is about 6 inches lower than the original because I wanted more stability in the windy weather in Mexico, still I bolted it in concrete at the place it rests now (here is on the map: goo.gl/maps/kSDPyJS57jp )
I built it from the plans on page: www.buildeazy.com
However I have adapted and changed some things to suit me, still the plans are awesome and they were great help!
Mine took about 3 months to finish but I have't worked every day, still it was a lot of work.
Cheers!
***** Hi Lindy, acrylic sheet 3mm thick. You can also use polycarbonate, it's stronger but way more expensive. I was very happy with the choice I made.
Really cool build! Ok, now onto the technical question: how many working hours went into those 11 minutes?
Fire Crow's Workshop Thank you, It took about 2 months due to my job, weather, lack of tools for the job and workshop. Still it was a great journey!
Well done man! Yeah, I know something about ongoing projects... I have too many unfinished :D But this summer it's all about to change :) All the best!
Fire Crow's Workshop Thank you very much! I hope you finish your projects asap :)
Take care.
I love it great job you did, please how can I get plan of this work need your help :)
CENGIZ KOSAN Thank you!

Have you or considered making Dr Who's Tardis?
Hi what did you use to waterproof the roof?
Hi, it is some kind of tar. But just ask at your paint or hardware store. They should know. Cheers
Holy Smokes! That is just BAD ASS!! Great job and love the details. One question, can you send text messages from inside this thing? HAHA...
Andres Salas Thank you Andres, I hope The text messages will make their way out :)
Hello, what was the black stuff you applied on the roof? Thanks
Some kind of tar.
nice job truper mexican tools comex.?
+Jose Ruben Muñoz Garcia Gracias Jose, ni modo por lo de truper, comex esta bien.
Nice work and I enjoyed watching your video. I believe the red color is currant, correct? If so, what's the official black (or maybe it's a dark gray) color of the black phone booths? Thank you.
+John Vatistas I wouldn't really know, there are links in the description of all the useful info I found. I haven't really thought about this build too much I just started making separate pieces and then put them together. Also I bought the colors to my taste, and till later visited U.K. and there I saw that the color is a bit darker than mine. Unless you put it next to the original it doesn't really matter that much.
Thank you for your quick reply. It would be great to see more of your building process instead of the quick snippets (which was fun to watch). You do really nice work and it reminds me of a quick version of the show This Old House. Even if your video was 45 mins to an hour. Just a suggestion. I bet you'd get a lot more views especially if you did more unique building projects like this.
+John Vatistas Thank you John! My other projects haven't been sped up.
Sadly, I didn't save the footage of this build to make slower narrated video.
PS I love This old house series
I like this i from viet nam
hi. he did a good job. I also like the English phone booth. I'm working on a wine store. See if you like, I'm at the beginning of the process.
Where are you located? I may need to use a phone booth for a movie scene.
Croatia 😊
Are there plans available with dimensions ?
Yes, in the description!
