Hey guys, it's Charlotte Dobre here and in this video, we're going to be talking about some people who got served a slice of humble pie.
We all know that feeling of thinking we're better than someone else or that we're invincible, but sometimes life has a way of bringing us back down to reality. In this video, we'll be taking a look at some people who thought they were untouchable, but ended up getting a reality check that they weren't expecting.
From celebrities to regular people, these individuals got a slice of humble pie in a variety of ways. Some were caught in scandals, some had their egos shattered, and others faced setbacks that they never thought they would experience.
But the important thing is that they learned from their experiences and were able to grow as individuals. We'll be discussing some of the lessons that we can all learn from these stories and how we can avoid making the same mistakes that these individuals did.

I live in Korea and while I don't go clubbing, I have been turned away from restaurants and cafes for being foreign, and told by clothing store owners "No big sizes. You are too fat" when I was just window shopping. Someone also said that some gyms won't allow larger people to join because they "don't fit the look of the other gym members." I absolutely LOVE living here, but it does sometimes take a toll on my mental health.
Omgoodness this is not right 😢 I am so sorry you’re experiencing this. 😢 I went into a Korean store that sold clothes, jewelry and miscellaneous items and stuff once and they literally told me the same thing that I was too fat to fit in any of the clothes they had. I went off on her 😅
That "weatherboy" vid was actually the channel's weatherman asking his OWN SON the question and the kid made that iconic comment so the dad clapped back with, "Where are your parents?!" and "That kid is sketchy." It was an inside joke that only those who are locals and watch the news station long enough would have caught on that his kid was being a smartass to him.
Apparently the kid is actually the weather boy’s real life son and they planned this sketch, but I still find it hilarious 😂

I work in a middle school. My students would pop off like this, but a few F bombs in it as well. Kids are just rude and obnoxious. Call home and that is where they learned it. The parents are just as bad.
The guy trudging through snow in shorts and sandals only for the car to leave.. in simultaneously broke my heart and made me laugh hysterically lmao it's nice that he can laugh about it like he would if it were someone else. Tbh if he would have been acting sad I don't think I would have found it funny though. It's only funny bc he took it like a champ.

Just on the women getting turned away from clubs in South Korea because of their age, there is actually a huge issue with foreigners getting refused entry to Korean clubs and are given various excuses and then see their Korean friends get entry with no issue. It happened a few times when I lived there and I have heard a lot of stories from others too.
No stop it!!! I was thinking the same thing. Or because the drinking age there is what 18? Idk for sure. Maybe it's because guys have to be in mandatory army service for 2 years before they turn 30 🤔 South Korea clubs, tell me your racist without telling me your racist.
Yes! This is definitely a thing that happens to foreigners. Some of it may be aversion to foreigners, some of it may be a liability issue, but it happens in a blatantly discriminatory way.
Asians countries are usually quite openly racist.

I totally laughed about the woman who slipped in the mud 😂 after I did I went to the gas station and tripped over the gas hose and fell in front of a parking lot full of customers!
The mud one reminds me of the time I took a picture of my aunt when she fell over in the mud and I laughed so much that I fell in it too. 😂

I bought a yellow dragon fruit as I wanted to grow some seeds for fun and it was cheap $3.40. Seeds for sale online plus shipping oof! $15
So I got hundreds of seeds plus hubby and I split the fruit.
We both were in the library reading later lol. No one warned us 😂😉🤣

I can feel the to old in Korea to get in the club. I was in Hongdae and had to use the bathroom, they checked my passport and said, "Sorry, your too many numbers, but you look 28." At the time I was 41, I laughed so hard I almost peed myself, but we walked less than 3 feet and the guys at the bar next door invited us in. We spent our last 2 weeks there almost everyday! (We = My Mom (65) and my two friends (21 & 34))
I went to hongdae too! I didn't know if it they actually turned people away for that. Cause Interacted with people 30 and above probably cause theh were korea and not foreigners. I went in at 19

So the Korean bar thing can be two things from my experience. One could be that they don't want foreigners cuz of the language barrier and general xenophobia but the other reason I know about is to keep out the creeps. There are some predatory older people that will go into clubs looking for young people and the age cut off keeps the bar full of people around the same age.
They aren't going to tell you if it's either one by the way.

I order extra dirty martinis and the amount of times a friend has wanted to try a sip but wasn’t prepared for what they were about to taste is hilarious.
I had a guy use that line on me on our first time meeting in person, "Just go into the restaurant. I'll be there in a minute." He admitted that he wanted to see if I was "Chubby" or whatever. Another time, I met a guy I used to date. He wasn't in the restaurant and yet he said he was there. It turns out that he didn't recognize me when I went past his truck because I had gotten more toned and bleached my hair. 😉

The one where they were too old to get into the club in Korea. I'm pretty certain they were in, or near, Gangnam. It was not that they were too old, it was more likely that they were not Korean. It's a common occurrence in Gangnam that the bouncers will not let any group with foreigners into select clubs. Although some of them are also age restricted for the safety of younger patrons. Not to mention there are some 20y/o in Korea that make serious bank, or come from insanely rich families.

Being to old for the club lol. I'm 54 now but when I was in my early 30's I went with friends to check out a new club that had just opened. Long story short they said I wasn't allowed in they didn't outright say I wasn't to old but the look on the bouncer's face said it all. Told me the club was only for students. Jokes on them. The look on his face when I pulled out my student ID priceless. Went in walked to the back place was empty turned around and walked out. Made a complaint. Two months later they allowed non students in as they were loosing money. Place closed after 8 months.

Funfact- In a Indian wedding, we actually invite many people to our weddings including people from your neighbourhood, hairdressers, drivers, distant relatives from extended families, people we've met once in our lives and unknown people who get into weddings for food, unless it's a very private wedding

When I lived in Korea (2012-2013) the only people going to the clubs were either famous people or people looking for a 1 night stand, and thats why they had the age restrictions. I dont know if it has chaanged, but yeah. Thats why there are a LOT of love motels around the club area. Maybe thia has changed now when korea is so popular theough k-pop and k-drama and more westerners are traveling there, but that's how it was then. I know this is an old video and no one will read this but maybe someone will, so here you go. That's also why in k-dramas that the "bad boys" are at clubs while "the sweet" ones are at cafés.

For the age limit in some clubs in Asia, it’s for the club’s reputation. All the clubs go for different kind of vibes. Like just by hearing the name of the club, you will be able to tell who goes there. Ppl who are 18 to their early 20s would like to go to a certain club more because the girls/guys would be more their age. Ppl in their mid 20s to early 30s would prefer a different club as it would be more their vibe.

Me my husband my BIL & SIL got refused entry to a club in Wakefield UK of all places. The bouncer said "this is for younger people" we range from 25 to 30. We went across the street got a free entry wrist band from a promoter and went back flashing our bands laughing. Didn't leave till 6am. Taught them kids how it's done 😂

7 min mark legit reminds me of this girl I was friendly with that was bullied pretty heavily and had a huge glow up, pretty unrecognizable to her bullies, and then lured one of her bullies, in sandals, to tromp through some mud to pick her up for a date post high-school, and just stood her up, it was amazing

Clubs in Seoul (not all of course) do have an upper age limit, and are way more strict when it comes to women. They also tend to charge men a higher entry fee.
first of all, leaving cleaning products in his shower means he actually cleans his shower! second of all, I leave cleaning products in my shower so I can wipe down my shower when I'm done with it and I don't end up with mildew or mold. then I don't have to spend an hour scrubbing my shower once every couple of weeks or every week. instead I do a quick 5 second job and it's always clean and never has to be scrubbed.

For the club video - it wasn't just for the girls as she had male friends with her as well that were 30+ who got turned away too, if you listen to her as she's explaining and telling everyone's ages
