Ive got the hp varmint .25 ,ive upgraded it to a huma reg and a carbon fiber 500 cc bottle so i fill to 4500 psi now, i also swapped out the springs and polished everything in the trigger and its still a little heavier than i usually like but its nice and smooth with a crisp break , super accurate and a lot of power

Which regulator from huma fits this gun?

@@jean-claudelaboy9679 I'm not 100% as I have a bottle gun, but if you go on the Huma website or shoot them an email I'm sure you can find out, putting the regulator on my gun made it a different gun it was already accurate but this made it just a crazy dependable tack driver, 1" groups @100 yards
My record Shot so far is range finder verified 128 yard head shot on a European starling,
Also the first thing I would do is get rid of the folder on the stock make it rigid look on RUclips there are a couple different videos of how to do it it makes it a much more stable gun

Wright on Rick! Yes let them know what we all would like to see from AEA! The barrels are decent but as we know the triggers have a lot to be desired 😆! Power isn't a problem with any of their products as far as I know? Face it they are a very innovative company and like the Zues awsome gun! Would be nice to see a wood stock in that model and not that soft wood that dents with the slightest bump!!! Had the .457 bullpup and stock was very soft! Anyways great job as always Rick keep it up buddy!

Hi :-) Thanks for the rifle review, I am watching your videos to decide what AEA to get for backpacking. The AEA Element looks awesome for the weight but a longer barrel would allow for longer reach+.30 caliber with the cost of almost two more pounds to carry for a change from 16 to 24 inches barrel. *** I could not hear in your video the caliber you used to get that speed ???

I'm a big fan of the AEA line, this one for being unregulated is like it has a regulator from some of the testing I've seen! I would have to put a moderator on it though, neighbors seem to have a problem with ANY noise that goes bang!
They actually called the police and complained about Airguns, when it was the roofers on the other neighbors house using NAIL GUNS, LOL 😂🤣😂🤣

I'm so confused. The aea hpbp semi auto bullpup uses all the same parts as This gun does, the same sized airtank, but it does 1400fps with a 17grain .22 and 1100 fps with a 26grain .25 and I've got 75-85fpe from both the .22 and .25 if I use slugs in the 40+grain range.
So I'm just like whatsup with this hp standards subpar power? It's only a 55fpe gun somehow? Wtf? It's not like it gets more shots I could get 36 shots and not drop under 73fpe with the HPBP. I was looking for 24in barrels for the assasin ECT but they aren't available, I was thinking that's what would get me the same power since the 12in 14in 18in and 20in and according to their website the ho standards 24in barrel all cant get past 55fpe. I find that quiet stupid.
I want to have something that is .22-25 and at least 75fpe. It's to replace 22lr rifles in my life. I like the look of the standard more than the bullpup but man if it's a difference between 55 or 85fpe for the same price then like what's the point of any other semi auto? What's the point of the 100fpe terminator when the $300 cheaper hpbp .25 can hit within 5-12fpe of the terminators power and it has double the penetration. So dumb

I like my Standard Custom, but hate the trigger. After shooting my FX’s and Benjamin’s as well as my wonderful Element(regulated), I really do not enjoy shooting the Varmint Standard Custom. It’s got good power……. That trigger sucks.

And a high-pull trigger won't be used in a vice like it was for this test, 1721, so getting the same accuracy the vice did won't be accomplished by everyone.
I just realized a vice hides the effects of a too-high pull trigger.
Agreed tho, it looks like a good design except for those deficiencies. Thanx for the test.

  • @hdhighcounty

I have 25 cal standard customer with long barrel. I deleted regalator and added 500cc bottle an it doing 1090 fps with 25gr air arm pellets. You got to keep fixing over price magazine. Love the power but cheap built hard to cock with unpredictable trigger. FX impact M3 is the way to go.
