- Back to the summer of 1990 for some Leyland action in Stevenage. We see Nationals, Olympians and a Lynx at work for StevenageBus, the trading name for Sovereign Bus & Coach Group in this area. Also seen are a few Iveco & Mercedes midibuses plus a couple of coaches operated by Chambers & Ambassador. I took a trip out to a yard Soverign used, i think it became the new garage after the town centtre one was closed. There i found 2 preserved Atlanteans parked up along with a lot of withdrawn SNB & SNC vehicles. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!
OH MY GOD ....... So many memories Jesus where do I begin .... those INFAMOUS BUSES and a fare of £1 THOSE were the days
Really great video seeing all these great old Buses which look & sound better than 2days Buses
Good memories of bus bashing in Herts in the 90s. Sovereign were a great little independent, and nice to see nowadays that spirit is maintained with Uno and Sullivans.
Now this is right up my alley. Natters look odd with the upper corner glass panels painted out.
Nice memories of driving some of those very buses - the Nationals for sure! I seem to remember the Hatfield Market liveried one (532) was a bit of a slug 🙄
Great video of the Stevenage area sovereign buses but upsetting seeing all those withdrawn SNB’s in the yard
I was working for LCBS when it went through the transitions to LCNE and then Sovereign Bus.
Used to see Sovereign around St Albans/Hatfield/Welwyn. They had a nice livery, and a nicely varied fleet ex London Country, including those nice TL11 powdered Olympians.
