It does, it was funny, but I'd rather I got educated than entertained. The way I see it, this was a waste of time and a missed opportunity to learn something. GM Danya is such a good teacher, every moment when he shares his knowledge with us is so precious. I've learnt so much from the Speedrun. A GM's time we can't find for free (and especially of this quality), while entertainment we can find anywhere.

@@joostvanrens It is less educational in the sense that we don't get to see how the typical mistakes that players of a certain rating range make, and how to capitalize on those. A 1400 ranked player would want to know what mistakes s/he or her typical opponents make, not how to play against a super GM (stockfish). That's the whole point of speedruns - explaining gameplay at every level. The cheaters ruin that - if all the players he encounters in this series are cheaters, then it is not a speedrun, but a series on how to play stockfish. I have more problems with people who defend cheaters. I remember once a video where a GM was explaining why he was convinced that a guy was a cheater, winning against GMs and winning tournaments, Boris something. Basically all strong players knew the guy was cheating. A lot of people (from the same country ) were nevertheless defending him, saying that it is well possible that he was lucky, finding moves that only a strong engine would play. This is so pathetic.

15:46 I could totally play the infamous Qe8 thinking that I am winning the pawn at a4 (I would even do this at the previous move). The idea is that after Bxa4 bxa4 Qxa4, the queen forks the knight and the bishop. Checking on the board, however, showed that White has a very nice safe: Ne5 threatening forks Nc6+ or Nxf7. So, if I would see this during the game, which isn’t a given considering that I tend to drop 100 IQ when I’m playing, then to Danya’s Qf2 I’d respond f6. Therefore, when I was watching the game, Qe8 seemed very natural, and I was surprised by Danya’s reaction.

I mean you not telling people who you are is the best option. Studies show that when you know you are under a study, you act differently. So people knowing they are playing against you would hurt this whole thing as they would not play like they regularly play. Also people who cheat in chess or any game, I feel like they enjoy more someone else losing than them winning. If they cared about winning they would try to improve. Whatever the guy was so bad he missed like 3 or 4 mates in one once he started playing lol. Thank you for making the series(and available for free while at it) thanks to it I have gone from knowing how to move the pieces to knowing how to move them with purpose. Hope to catch your livestream sometime.

Maybe qe8 because a4 would be weak after b4 but the bishop was hitting the pawn only which can only be protected by knight b2 but attacking the pawn twice guarantees the paw after b4 pawn push since, there is no other piece which can protect that pawn.

The absurd thing isnt the one move that is beyond comprehension, like maybe the guy came up with the top engine move for an unrelated reason, but to play 3 or 4 in a row just absolutely insane moves is beyond human ability or chance. Ive had a couple moves here or there that, on computer analysis, probably look insane, but it happens like once in a while and never multiple times in the same game. I could see the queen move making sense in a game, but that bishop move and the following pawn push are just beyond comprehension
