Hahaha... comfortable seat, bmw M badge, better airconditioning, a lot of airbags, 4.4 liter engine twin turbo, digital cluster meter, a lot of electronic and other fancy functions in the car, xdrive, 625hp stock. That is why m8 is expensive. I believe you did not finish your school.

Amazing performance for the M8 with that simple modes, thought supra can achieve that 600 HP with 93 octane but it will got beaten hard that time.

nice video, but so much of these cars are tuned to death...5th gear gone.....torque limitier removed.... stableness isn´t focussed today in tuning....I´d rather quit on the last few horsepower in order to have it done safe as to go for the last tenth than push for the limits

Very even cars, but even with the Supra’s 5th gear being intact, the M8 would have pulled on him. This matchup was more about driver skill than speed, and the speed, up to 140mph, seems to be around the same.

Why a Z transmission and not a Supra trans
Because Supra transmissions are $8-10k and about as strong as the Z transmissions. These CD009 are known for being stout and very affordable, but I guess today was the day it decided to exit the chat 😂

The M8 gets weaker after 60...that why people want 60 rolls against them. The M8 owners keep agreeing to roll that benefit the competition. M8's can kill just about anything from a dig to 40 rolls.

Because more than that requires drastic mods. That M8 would need meth, built engine and built trans. Big$
@@travisbarnes6759don’t need meth. But yes the motor would need to be upgraded.
Take it past that and stock turbos will start to fall off. Upgrade the turbos and the motor will blow. Trans will shit the bed as well. That’s why you never you see them run full e85, that and the fuel system. Then you spend 30k to build the motor and trans. But can’t even launch the car with out destroying the drivetrain. Best bet for them is 700-800whp.
Thank you all for your comments. I've learned more about this platform. I will say IMO that the 700 to 800hp is still very respectful even with the car weighing 4k pounds.

Why can't Supras race from a 30 roll ? It's SO weak they need a 60 roll to spin that oversized turbo that is useless otherwise. Just a garbage car that can't run from a dig or low speeds. A one trick wonder.
