I bought a mk5 golf match 1.9tdi with only 19,000 miles and drives really well. got a bit more kit than this but I'm only 20 and insurance is expensive for one. Do you still have yours?
Hi there, Yeah insurance seems to be based on the cars engine size and performance at our age, so even if you got a brand new equivalent the insurance would be similar even though purchase cost is different :/ Its a great wee car though, hope you enjoy it!!
I have a 04 1.9 tdi on 105k miles the engine is solid and still going strong but it has so many electric faults ended up changing the entire steering rack on the car which still didn’t fix the issue!
Thomas Talks steering fault 90% of mechanics told me steering rack ( the actual fault was steering torque sensor or something) ended up having the whole steering rack changed then the problem returned so had the engine light fault reset my steering would also lock up if the light came on meaning I couldn’t not steer changed the sensor problem still returned for a second time so I had to buy a code reader for my car and it it happens just have to reset the code other then that it’s lovely to drive nice and smooth
Thomas Talks has been well looked after and engine will go beyond 150/200k but at this point one fault leads to another so I am debating just getting rid as the money it’s starting to cost me especially for a older car
+Thomas Talks Well I am now the owner of a navy blue Golf 1.9 TDi Match 5 door manual. Happy with it and the first upgrades will be some nightbreaker headlight bulbs and some LED sidelight bulbs. It's an 08 reg with 61k miles on the clock
+TimeLord1984 you've got yourself a nice car there ! Tip don't be tempted to get an eBay "chip tune" most don't do anything and if they do they just over fuel and damage the turbo. the torque though in second gear at about 1800rpm is lovely
+iCloud Thanks. Very pleased with it and no intention of tuning it. The dark colour shows scratches which is a pain but I've used autoglym super resin polish followed by autoglym HD wax to improve matters. I know a paint guy who can sort the deeper scratches. 68mpg on a good run at the weekend and will manage over 600 miles on a full tank no problem
If you go on parkers.co.uk you can get the specifications for most cars will tell you everything from 0-60 times mpg and also the standard and optional equipment for the different modes

Cool VW Golf TDI
Great video!
Is it better than a c class w203 220 estate ?
Holy shit, the gears are exactly the same as the left hand drive version. Must be awkward as hell to drive!
Oh really?? I have only ever driven auto's in Left hand drive...
Obviously
Are they not always the same?

Actually, it is the best looking Golf up to date.

@@Corsa15DT depending on ur budget the Mk5 for the price is probably the best option
