Yang is growing fast, and last donation quarter he actually had a larger % of his total donations from small donors than Bernie did, I'll be curious about this quarter. Plus the donation cap is $2,800, and i hate to break it to you, but Bernies team does the exact same thing.
So whats your point? Andrew is a grass roots campaign and started at 0% and had zero money and his rate of growth is greater than Sanders.
I like benrie, i voted for him last election, but he lost my vote when he stopped attacking millionaires once he became a millionaire and instead of donating his money to make himself no longer a millionaire, he decided that millionaires arent so bad and that its actually billionaires who are evil.
Hes also back tracked on many ideas and plans he once had that i thought were great
Unlike Yang, when you find videos of him from before he thought of running, hes been saying the same exact stuff hes been saying now. Plus he ran a nonprofit education company training entrepreneurs and crrating thousands of jobs across the poorer parts of the U.S., never made anywhere close to making a million dollars and consistently gave away large portions of his paychecks to charities. Also before he started giving away dividends paid by the campaign, he was paying for the freedom dividend out of his own pocket for 5 different individuals. Andrew actually puts his money where his mouth is and thats why we love him in the #YANGGANG and why its growning more and more each day.
TheRubinator13 Telling me about Yang running a nonprofit is corny. No one knows anything about it. Yang likely won’t make the debate stage on 14-Jan. If he doesn’t, he’s the next Julian Castro. He may last a couple more months, but if he was gonna make a splash, he needed to do it in the 1st 4 contests. Iowa, NH, NV, and SC. He is not above 8% in any of those. And he won’t make the debate stage in 2 weeks, so his funding will trail off and he’ll drop out soon enough. Super Tuesday is dozens of states. If he doesn’t place in the first 4 contests he’s donezo.

we already have a field of progressives and ultra-progressives, it's Yang's more centrist stance that makes him a crossover threat among conservatives that voted for Trump.
Zennofobic Uh, have you heard of Joe Biden. He’s polling at 27%. Heard of Buttigieg? He’s polling at 8% nationally, and 24% in Iowa. Yang ain’t overtaking them. And he’s not progressive, so Warren and Bernie supporters aren’t interested in his policies beyond UBI. He’s a one issue candidate. Like Tulsi. That’s why he has a ceiling. Unless he starts talking about something beyond UBI, which I think is an interesting idea, he’s topped out. What’s his foreign policy positioning? What’s his specific plan on addressing climate change? How about gun laws? Who knows?
Plus a centrist can’t win. We did that in 2016. We don’t need another centrist against Trump. Yang (a nerd) will get stuffed in a locker by Trump (a bully).
oops yeah those guys (laugh)... to be honest I'm not focused on anyone else, it's Yang or nothing for me. I was drawn in by his personality and his ideas and most importantly that he's not a career politician. He's a candidate for the independents and outsiders. UBI is his signature policy because he's focused on AI and it's effect on the economy unlike any of the other candidates I believe. I'm a techie and his ideas are forward thinking and based on data. He's a smart numbers guy, I trust him which is what I never could with a career politician. I'm actually more interested in his drugs policy and prison reform and the fact that something has to be done about the influence of social media and smart devices on people. On a casual glance he may appear like a one issue candidate but if you explore more videos on him or go to his website you'll see a whole slew of policies. Something like over 160 policies listed... I'm probably familiar with 20 and I agree with all of them. I registered as a Democrat for Yang, I reactivated my Twitter to keep up on events, I've actually discussed Yang with friends (which is unheard of and made them take notice), Yang has re-invigorated my engagement with people and the world in general. My Twitter handle is Atheist Nihilist Misanthropes for Yang. I'm a person who had become excessively pessimistic and misanthropic but Yang gives me hope that maybe decency and smart forward thinking is possible.
just do a search he's done plenty of town halls and forum talks regarding his foreign policy, gun control, climate change and a wealth of other policies... don't think gun control was even brought up at the last debate but he's done a town hall on that subject

In order to win any delegates in any state he would have to crack 15% in any given state. He has yet to crack 7% in any of the 50 states. And he’s polling @ 3.3% nationally. Sorry to burst your bubble. Unless something changes drastically, he can’t win. Facts don’t care about your feelings.

To get into the next debate He either needs two 7% or four 5% I believe. He has a high chance of Iowa and is growing the quickest out of all candidates. Many many many of presidents had a slow start in primaries but later ended up winning.

Massimo D'Alessandro Those figures for Yang to get into the next debate are spot on. And he has 1 qualifying poll, but needs a 2nd. Also, for you Yang gangsters to love M.A.T.H. so much, you guys seem to not be great at math. To say a candidate w/ 3.3% in the polls is growing the fastest, just means he can increase .33% and he’ll be growing super fast @ 10%, where Bernie growing 10% would require 2%. Its not apples to apples. Bloomberg is actually growing fast tho. He entered the race in November and had already passed Yang in national support @ 5%. So, that’s demonstrably faster than Yang on an absolute basis and a % basis.
I do think Yang will make the next debate in Jan. But there is a ceiling on his support. He’s never cracked 7% nationally or in any state. So, the Feb poll will probably in that range 4 polls of 7% or 8%, something like that. And then he’ll be out. Sadly, that’s just the MATH.

End3rthe3rd Yang’s VAT is regressive. His healthcare plan that he released just a few days ago is more conservative than Biden’s who at least favors a public option. Yang is so conservative he does not even support a public option.
Yang is not in Bernie’s league on fundraising. That chart is skewed because the “transfers” section of bar includes Bernie’s senate campaign as well as his 2016 presidential campaign, which were both funded primarily by small dollar donations. If you took that transfer section of the bar out (or broke it out as small vs big donations), Bernie would lead in % of small $ donors clearly. Duh. Learn how to break down a chart.

End3rthe3rd Also, last Q Yang raised not quite $10M. Bernie raised over $28M. And early reports are that Bernie passed that mark 12 days ago, so he’ll be even higher for Q4. Yang can eat Bernie’s dust. All from individual donors. No billionaires like Yang and the rest.
@@buffalo.blackk You're right that Andrew's not at the same capacity as Bernie in fundraising. Bernie was an established politician prior to 2016 and built his base in that cycle. I was a huge Bernie supporter/volunteer in 2016 and was a big contributor to his campaign. Yang is more like in the situation Bernie was in 2016 gaining steam as a movement.

As far as policy all of those things you mentioned we can discuss if you actually want to have an honest talk about it. I'm happy to have a discussion of the merits of UBI + VAT. I think Yang and Bernie have similar goals in terms of doing what is best for the nation. You might want to tone down the aggressive nature as it doesn't help the Bernie supporter image. It honestly makes being a Bernie supporter in 2020 a less palatable option.

By the way, I've donated $620 to Andrew Yang's campaign so far. My first $20 was in March, then $100 a month since August, and $200 for this month.

Day Time you need to get a life
So Yangs vp slot is what Bloomberg aiming for? Unbelievable work by Carly and co btw. Yang policies are the most balanced and forward looking. UBI is what every nation in this world will have by 2070. If u imagine most already get income in some form be it social services, child tax credits or pension, this is just an extension. Automation is inevitable and a necessity for life in 2.1k. We can focus our mind and resources into finding answer to the one real question - life. Focus on space exploration, terraforming etc. UBI is a system that makes this possible. N besides pretty much every job will be automated by then. Also How can one person deserve to sit on top x10000 of what another human being? no matter how clever, how intelligent or how fortunate one may be. This whole model is outdated. Eventually there will be no need for income/jobs. We will have robots to repair robots. We are simply preparing for those times.

Yey, Carly!!! I wish Andrew would ask for donations in his TV ads though. We need the volunteers. I canvass daily and so many people have never voted and have no clue why donations are important. I think the TV ads are attracting a lot of people who are not even registered to vote. They need direction, register to vote and donate to the campaign.
She is working her ass off and i would say half of the success of yang s campaign hinges on people like her. She should be proud of herself for achieving the fund raising goals consistently.
