Finch has a couple of fun uses outside of Challenge Mode too. While most enemies' recast timers are too short for "Doesn't Ring a Bell" to have any practical use, there are some noteworthy exceptions. She can basically turn into a miniature Haze during a couple of specific boss/UM encounters. For example, in the Phantasm fight in Elpys, Multus has a recast timer of 3 minutes, so you can just spam her Lv. 2 Special against the clones and guarantee that they'll never multiply once in the entire battle. Similarly, the final boss can be stunlocked completely since all of their arts take several minutes to cooldown. I mean, it isn't optimal for speed and still doesn't make her a great Blade, but it's a really fun niche she can fill.
I don't understand why shield hammers aren't more like party support instead. Maybe raising an HP barrier, increasing block rate and/or defense, dazing enemies in an AOE radius by smashing the hammer on the ground... Seems like shield hammers had a lot more potential to be useful. What a shame.

I don't understand how they screwed over Shieldhammers so badly. Like, not only does it have slow attacks and arts that don't do enough damage or draw enough aggro, but most of the rare Blades who use it have terrible skills and Specials that would still suck even on other weapon types. I also kind of think every Rare Blade should have 3 Aux slots, it's beyond unfair that some only get 2 and others are cursed with just 1. Lastly, quick question, what's the name of the song that plays during that Jin and Malos fight? I love piano themes.
For aux slots, I can see why they'd want to limit certain blades to 2 (the Aegis is already one of the most useful blades in the game), but giving any unique blade only 1 slot was just cruel and unnecessary. Brighid and Aegeon would be my top picks to get upgraded to 3 slots, partly to help in some way with the uphill battle tanks have in this game, and because I feel like Aegeon is too similar to Theory kit-wise (similar def values, similar special effects, same blade arts). Edit: Nvm the "2 slots is fine" implication in my comment. I beat 9th Armored on BoC yesterday, and I want 3 aux slots for all unique blades, lol!
So what’s the point of making characters with shields like Reyn’s shield or the Shield Hammer class if 9 times out of 10, for tanks, the best defense is a great offense anyway?
I tried and I still find myself using finch. I haven't finished filling up her skill tree so that's the only reason I use her. I'm really starting to despise this gacha system.

Lastly, quick question, what's the name of the song that plays during that Jin and Malos fight? I love piano themes.
The name of the song is called "the power of jin".
I beat 9th Armored on BoC yesterday, and I want 3 aux slots for all unique blades, lol!
xenoblade 2 speed run Finch only when
Always enjoys your guys.
YES ITS HERE!!!!
The irony, I forgot she existed. Even tho I upgraded her to S+ like the rest of the Blades.
don't worry, she forgot you existed too, probably
They gave the cutest Blade a shield hammer :(
Protip: u don't
Tbh I did not get this blade nor knew it exists but I still watched the full vid
rex during chain attack go brrrrr @ the chain attack vs goliath sauros
The only thing I like about finch is the name of her merc group the albotrojans
Her voice lines in general are hilarious lol
Finch is fun AF tho.
What was Finch's name again?
Omelette
I was going to watch this episode yesterday, but I forgot...
Is precious bird child.
No one gives a shit about blade tires.
Finch is an awesome blade cuz SHES FUN.
That's all that matters.
I ran the entire game with her favorite blade
So what’s the point of making characters with shields like Reyn’s shield or the Shield Hammer class if 9 times out of 10, for tanks, the best defense is a great offense anyway?
Even later in the game Reyn's best use is offense. The best defense being a good offense has always been true in the Xenoblade games
@@conorb.1901 thats my point. Why have a shield at all if you ultimately don't need it?
Enel, do the list.
Finch's purpose is being cute
What an interesting video about.... uhh.... what was this video again?
Help Enel, I just watched this video but I forgot everything you said! It doesn't ring a bell! What do I do!
13:11 Uh... what are you doing over there, Rex?
having fun
How to use finch go to blade setup and select release blade
tried making her and Electra work (2 of the first rares I got)
Wait, when did this appear in the let’s play?
Chugga summoned three rare blades in one session. It was Electra, Finch, and Kora.
Who was this guide about again?
Best boy floren
My favorite Blade
@Enel you favorite my comment but I’m not joking
Nope. Thanks to this bird i learned about the human attraction to cloacas and i wont ever forgive her
Finch forgot to be good in battle.
I'm sad that Finch is bad :(
I know shes terrible but she is still my favorite
excuse me but what are double stacked fusion combos?
I’m 90% sure that means he did multiple specials on one break
multiple specials while the same driver combo is still active.
@@EnelXC thank you, whats the max amount you can do for extra damage?
Just like electra but then again
How to use Finch in Xenoblade 2:
Don’t
Do.
Why do you never cover the blade arts?
Because they're determined by the driver rather than the blade. And I don't think any non DLC blade has a unique kit that isn't a story blade.
extremely unimportant
@@sunname6252 You do not seem to know what blade arts are.
@@MOtherMetroid I was think of driver artes, my bad.
I was gonna make a funny comment... but I forgot what it was.
You don't use Finch
You pull for a better blade.
I have a common wind hammer with lv4 Orb Master that's been of more use to me than Finch will ever be.
I tried and I still find myself using finch. I haven't finished filling up her skill tree so that's the only reason I use her.
I'm really starting to despise this gacha system.
FINCH... i care them....
The best tip for using Finch
DON'T
Shield hammer so dont
Forgetful birb girl
My wife....
u do u man
Let’s go Enel, striving for equality!!!!
