I love every single thing about this game, from the graphics/models, the insane (for the time) movesets, the large ring, the roster, the gameplay... all of it. Imagine going from In Your House to this. Nice editing, btw.
Also the music, the insane reversals, all the different rings, the diving moves outside the ring...my brother and I went from RAW and Royal Rumble on SNES to this -- we absolutely lost our minds lol, it was just an amazing experience for two diehard wrestling fans like us! The only negative about this game is that there's no Tag team matches, it's a shame because with an amazing roster like this it would have been incredibly fun to create all kinf of teams/alliances. Ah well, at least you could do "group" matches (5 on 5, 1 wrestler at a time). 😊
@@Linchpin_TF I feel like Power Moves Pro-Wrestling started it all. It's damn-near the same game as this and the AKI games on N64. PMPW is the start of it all.
Amazing video. Not only you highlight all these great moves one by one, but you also took time to write the real names of every wrestler, great job!! Vs the World was my favorite game back then, my twin brother and I bought a PS1 specifically for this game! 😊✌🏻👍🏻
LMFAO agree. It screamed "rush job localization" even back in 1997. They did have enough time to hack together a new model for Jeff Jarrett (who wasn't in the Japanese version of the game) however, even if he was a re-skin of Flair.

Actually Toukon Retsuden (Power Move Pro Wrestling) was it who take the first step into 3D Wrestling Games.

thanks. well this game was just a tech demo. the real shit came with the N64.
@@Linchpin_TF without Power Moves Pro-Wrestling and this, might not be an AKI Dynasty in the U.S.
I'm glad you doing finisher videos again
but has no future for me and the channel!
*5:03* GOAT 🐐
Kensuke is a Legend. I remember playing as him in this game. Good memories. The absolute beginning of the AKI Dynasty for sure
For Kensuke fans this game was a blast since he's there twice, as himself and also as his "Power Warriors" version when he was with Hawk.
@@jonathanturbide2232 if only this game had more depth and Tag-Team wrestling.
R.I.P Hawk
Calling the Giant a lazy reskin is way too generous if anything. The model is 100% Andre.
I agree with you @KillHammer

This was one of my favorite games as a kid
I remember playing this game, and thinking the same thing, looks like Dynamite Kid, the moveset is Vader R.I.P. *8:01*
ah forgot there was already a vader model in VPW. why they use not this and why they use dynamite kid?
@@Linchpin_TF I wish they used both.
still so messed up they called Hawk, Overdose lol
I think it was Overdrive, not Overdose.
Giant looks extra blocky because he's so big xD
Still a lazy re-skin! Lex Luger, Dean Malenko and Steven Regal got it done why not by the Giant too?
#Linchpin, If I bought this PS1 game, would it play in my PS2??
yes and ps3
@@shaolinmonk4206 cool. Thanks. Not that I would bc this game is too prehistoric as far as the AKI Dynasty, but good to know.
ONE! TWO-OOH! THREEEE!!!
