Hi Randy, this is the very first time anyone has said they can not hear me... The good news is, the diving is always better than anything I can say. Thanks for tuning in
never fails to amaze me how many folks can't live without their phones long enough to go play on the water. You have found enough over the years to back my claim, some adults just can't do anything without them
Finally another video I've watched all of your vids and I get happy when I see a new one pop up. I would be in for a donner lake treasure give away. Thanks again for the great vids.
Hi again, what must the eyewear, bungee cord, cell phone count find be on these items.. LoL 😂 which just blows my mind how many phones you find. Thanks for sharing once again. 🇺🇸😁
Hey B.F. Things are OK, the weather is still decent, an occaison cold day in the mountains where I love to dive. I went to Tahoe to do an UW metal detecting video only to discover the access I needed was closed due to Covid! What? This has got to stop. so I went to my alternate, it looked like a bad day at the ocean, the wind was bad. Third alternate...same. So I decided to trek to Oregon to a couple of sites I wanted to hit, wildfires a mie or two from my destination... sigh. THen I wake to smoke and ash falling, I had the windows open at night... omg! so much gritty ash! lol. So, heading to a more local spot today, we will see what happens.
@@mokpot You have some sweet spots to dive for sure. Gonna dive Tahoe one day and hoping to spend a summer there. I posted a clip of a spring I dove last weekend. Don't laugh at the breath holds I'm out of shape. I too am hoping this nonsense stops and we can go back to freedom. Stopping u from diving is not acceptable or rational!
Hey brother have you ever been to tamales bay ? It's just west of Petaluma. I have done a lot of leppard shark and halibut fishing there and have always wondered what was down there by the beach on the other side of the bay just across from the boat launch. Btw, I loved the Donner lake dive !
I have a little vid of from Lawson’s Landing at the mouth of Tomales, exploring what lives right at the shore. Definitely a place I’ll be exploring more. Tons of Leopards. Check it out when you get time!
Nice idea having that lure box on you, saves time ( & body parts ). Pretty interesting haul, that shirt will look good on you. You can loan that extension cord to someone who never returns your tools. LOL
The lures are a really nice finds, lots of good ones! , it never ceases to amaze me, all the stuff folks lose and the things you'd think would float and dont...lol...nice dive. Looking forward to the next...👍✌💖
Donner Lake looks really clear. I'm surprised there aren't more divers out there treasure diving. Was it just me, or did the video blank out there for a bit??? Thanks for cleaning up yet another neglected body of water. Glad you're on the job. About that crayfish, try to identify it as a native species to the body of water that you're dropping it off at. A lot of bother, I know, but invasives are a problem here. Hate to see it happen elsewhere.
Donner lake is anything but neglected. It’s a shame that thousands and thousands of people a year visit out beautiful lake and just can’t leave it as they found it.I love people like this guy who come and do what a lot of people can’t do. I’ll betcha if Donner was neglected he wouldn’t dive here. We locals will call out the litter bugs on land but in the water he does us all a service and I am grateful for him. Truckee is a small town and we keep it clean.
Wow ! Looked like Mama Bear got mad at Papa Bear and dumped his tackle box in the lake ! Lol !!! Very cool video as always . I really miss diving . Thanks ,,,,,,
Hi James, thank you for tuning in… Mostly what I do with the items is properly dispose of them. If the clothing I recover is worthy I will donate it. I give away a lot of the fishing tackle either to friends, coworkers, and neighbors or I have in the past, given them away in contests to my viewers. I have managed to sell a few of the paddles here and there, a lot of the sunglasses I give to people I know if they want them. If not, they will typically remain in a big box in my garage. Prescription glasses are usually donate as well. The cell phones will be properly disposed of so that the batteries don’t contaminate. In this particular video, there was a very nice folding knife, I have that still.
I'm always amazed that you can see those lures down there! I usually don't spot them until your hand is almost in view! ---So many neet things to see...how old would you guess those pine trees were?---Whatever that thing was that went scooting away real fast didn't look like a fish...mudskipper or something?---Are you tempted to open that poptop can and sample the contents?!
Hi Alana, my eye is practiced at seeing man made things underwater, I guess I don't even think about it these days. As for the trees, There are trees in other nearby lakes that have been date to 500+ years, these trees look far older to me, but type of wood, water conditions, and other thing could be a factor. I would hazard a guess at more than 500 years... again, just a guess. I do not recall anything scooting away, can you tell me the time stamp when this happened? As for the can, not really, the contents do not appeal to me.
