- I seem to have discovered yet another spot that people use to throw away unwanted coins to treasure hunt in! Detecting with my Garret Sea Hunter 2, and getting around on my Genesis 600 DPV. I used my Kayak to get to this spot... another beautiful day in Lake Tahoe.
Loved the part where you used your Genesis to clear the area for better hunting. Genius!! 🧐
Hello AWP, glad to have you tuning in... I peeked at your channel, I will be exploring your videos!
Awesome..
Don Fassbender turned me onto your channel and I'll be checking out more of yours for sure as well.
With Tahoe to Bend just 10 hours away, we might just have to get together for a collaboration soon.
I am not opposed to that, it might be fun. However, the "season" is pretty much over for Tahoe this year. Don F. is a good guy, I really enjoy his channel!
Mokpot, never mind the superstitious negative comments, I was born and raised in Carson City NV. So thank you for cleaning up our Lake :) I can't stand people littering the best lake in the world like it's their kitchen garbage pail.
Thanks Michael! Great to have you tuning in!
Great video! I wish I knew how to dive, why not let the crawfish free?
Crawfish are enjoyed by some... they are lawfully fished. I would not want someone messing with my stuff. Thanks for watching!
mokpot I didn't realize that, I thought they were just struck accidentally.
you need sieve
Hey James, I have one, interestingly, when you are near weightless and you attempt to push a scoop into the sand it takes a lot of energy to maintain position... fanning is easier.
Lake Tahoe is a very clear and very deep lake. I should include very cold lake. Nice finds right under the docks. Girls hang there hands in the water and off goes the rings. Gold and diamonds among the many others. Keep looking....
Hello Cows, Thanks for tuning in!
Another cool video! I liked the “burn-out” with your traveling machine. LOL. Revo is a great brand! And nice find on the Ray-Ban’s. The “P” stand for polarized👍🏼 and it’s fun to see all those crawdads grouped up together like that. Thanks for taking us along buddy. Always a great time. 🤙🏼
As are your adventures!!!!!
A 10-year-old girl is riding a pony - suddenly is sitting on the ground - no pony in sight. An astronaut disappears from the International Space Station and reappears as an insurance adjuster in Cleveland, OH. A woman living the good life with a million dollars in the bank is now overdrawn. A woman in a passionate embrace with her lover is suddenly not so satisfied. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE THE WISH MONEY BACK!
Thanks for the laugh. Take care.
Bwwaahaahaa.... Rob, that was great!
Hey Mark, another fine video. Watched it till the end. Hows the analytics for longer videos? Doing good?
Thanks for taking us along~wish I had your viz!
Hi Don... You seem to have Tahoe VIS when I watch some of your videos! Analytics? Around 50% overall on the longer vids... more with the patient crowd, those in my age range. Less with the younger folks. When I post longer videos, I get about 5 to 1 comments in favor. Conversely, no one complains at all with the shorter ones, but people do request longer ones now and then. I tend to not worry so much about that, I know that not everyone will enjoy every video. Thats OK, I post what I do, and hope people will enjoy.
mokpot Very true. You can't please them all. But you're doing a damn good job and pleasing most so keep it up 👍
Crayfish Motel!! Crayfish check in, but they don't check out!
They check out after they have been processed...
I could watch you do this all day.
Ok... glad to have you tuning in.
Love the longer posts! My favorite time of year, when Mokpot is posting treasure vids!
Thanks Michael!
Tahoe is such a clear lake..but is it my lack of perspective that there isn't more marine life?
Large Marine life is somewhat scarce. in the areas that I treasure hunt in. When I dive the deeper areas and the spectacular walls, I do see plenty of fish. It is hard for me to imagine that commercial fishing used to be an industry in this lake.
Maybe put Devil’s Lake ND on your dive list. Lots of history of 300 homes submerged with trees, powerlines, you name it, it’s down there.
That sounds awesome!
You found the "Money Pit !!!" Those Oak Island guys have been looking in the wrong place. And it was guarded by Crawfish. Great dive! Thanks for taking us along!
Papakoho 😂👍🏼🤙🏼
Of course, I am glad you tuned in!
Hey mister you found rangos glasses the round sunglasses wonder what he was doing there
LOL
Great video. Enjoyed watching. Subscribed and rang the bell. Take care.
Nice, thank you!
I really like watching your videos but it would be nice if in your edit to place what kind of object this is for those of us who can't see it in the second that you flash it on the screen.
Understood Kenneth, I realize during editing that his is a failure on my part at times... I will attempt to get better at this. Thanks for btinging it to my attention!
Awesome visibility. Great hunting grounds. You are one of my very few I enjoy watching.. Thank you for the opportunity
Wow, that is high praise, thank you!
Well done. I have always hoped to make it to Lake Tahoe. I had an uncle who had a place there but he died a few years ago. I don't know if someone in the family kept it or not. I am hoping one day to make it back to diving as well. I still need a tank, weight belt and a BCD that fits me. I have an underwater detector and one day I will start detecting the murky depths in Wisconsin for a start. Anyway I thank you for taking on that nice hunt. Peace.
There is plenty of room in the water, come on in the water is fine. Wisconsin has tons of old bottles to find as well as cool metal!
really enjoy your videos. Thank you
Great video! I loved seeing the critters (crayfish?) and the tracks they left in the sand/silt under the dock. I couldn't believe how HOOGE they were! This is a world/landscape that most of us never get to see - thanks for taking us exploring with you!
Glad to have you along Kelly!
I like the metal detecting but it seemed like 90 % of your dive on this was waving sand. it got old after awhile and had to fast forward the video to see if you started moving back around but you didn't. I know you got some comments about doing more detecting but please don't use up all your video for swishing sand. It does get old. Go back to your original style mix it up keep moving around. If you are going to do more detecting it would be a great idea to get one of those small hand helld plastic sand scoops with the holes in them you could get more coins in a shorter amount of time. Go back to your original style please!
Hey Roger, good to hear from you. Thanks for the feedback, I am always somewhat amused by the mix of opinions concerning content. Love it/hate it... I hope you can stand an occasional video like this, I promise they will not all be the same. I need the variety also!
Hi! Another fun video. It is so relaxing watching your adventures. All those coins and stuff in one small area make it seem like folks just go out to the beaches or piers and reach into their pockets and throw hands full of change into the water - and as a parting gift they chuck their sunglasses overboard also. LOL! Makes me wonder how many millions of dollars in small change are laying in the sand under water all over the earth. I hope your day is a goodie!
Hi Bevy, nice to hear from you! I was thinking the same thing about all the money that is laying about in the rivers and lakes. How many millions of dollars are purposely tossed away making a wish, or lost reaching into a pocket, or jumping in to cool off.
You and the crawfish fighting over a coin? Great video!
lol...Thanks John!
I always love your dives whether it is metal detecting or just hunting! I've never seen crawfish gather up like that unless they were eating. Awesome video!
Hi Jean, I get a kick out of the Crawdad piles too...Crawdad mating pile???
Love your posts dislike the noise of that thingy 😊.. LOVE metal detecting
Hi Joan, I hear that from time to time, I tried to attenuate the motor sound down. but the results were not so good... perhaps I will take another stab at it. Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate you tuning in.
Man those are some big crawl dads
Hi Barry, That is what I thought, it seems they are all big fatties.
Do you ever tow a dive flag while in shallow water, like where you're at now? I know you're under a dock, but what about other times?
YesI tow a flag when I Kayak dive... it is on the Kayak and I tow it. Also when it is required by law, and when boats and fishermen are around. Towing one while river diving can often be an entanglement hazard as there are so many snags to be caught in, I learned this the hard way... thanks for watching!
When will be golden glasses, damn it? ))
: ) thanks for watching!
i love the longer videos as much as you love those lucky gloves..lol...
lol... lucky they don't fall off me!
Good dive and were those lobster? Hope to c more down the road be safe great video
Mini lobster... Craw-dads/Cray-fish Thanks!
Super enjoyable ,like all your vids...mahalo
Mahalo... I love the Islands!
Great vid I just love the clearity of the water.
Thanks for tuning in Vance!
Nice Video. You should get a hand scoop. Much easier
Hi Bryan, I have a scoop and have tried it at these locations... Sometimes it is just one more thing to carry... I have so much stuff! lol
Watched it the first time on my phone so I still have not figured out how to comment on a non-live vid. BUT, I will excuse you not finding the thing to make it an official video. After all, not too many of those at a wishing well.
Hey William, I have the same problem when I watch on my phone... if you figure it out please let me know! Not so many golfballs in Lake Tahoe this year...
Wow. The wishing well delivers. Nice haul😎👍
Thanks Joseph, I appreciate you tuning in!
Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy watching all of them. With I could do it myself
I appreciate you saying so, thanks for tuning in!
@@mokpot I love underwater videos. I only watch dally in Columbus ohio ND yours. Thanks bro
Your so lucky to have water that clear.... North Carolina at the lake where I live is a mud hole most of the time and when it does clear up it is a very dark water with two to four foot visibility. Nice hunt
Thanks for tuning in G-rings. I have my share of poor visibility dive sites, but yes, I am very fortunate to have some amazing places to dive!
You could dig for treasures all day and I'd be diggin it. Enjoyed the video!
: ) Thank you Leann, nice to hear from you!
I just found your videos and have watched several now. Thank you for being decent, as a Christian I truly search for people who aren't crude with their language. These videos are getting harder and harder to find. So thank you. I'm amazed at the clarity of the water in many of the scuba videos I do find, our rivers and streams are so polluted here I can't literally see six inches. It would be cool to see underwater sometime, until then I will live through the scuba channels on You tube...lol God bless.
Hi Kathleen, I am happy to have you watching, I want this channel to be family friendly, I am glad you approve. I have my fair share of videos where the water is not so clear, do mainly because of sediments and nutrients more than pollution, unless you consider those to be pollutants. I love diving the beautiful mountain lakes with the clear, clean water... Come on in, the water is fine!
A small river we live by in South Dakota called the Vermillion is so polluted there's a fish warning on it. It comes from pesticide run off from farming and from cattle and hog farm runoff...it is very sad because 100 years ago there was a beautiful swimming hole for all the locals to swim at and it was crystal clear. It was a major local attraction with pavilions and all. We also have the Missouri river which is dank too, same problem. I have only seen one clear stream in my life and that was in the Black Hills. So I just sit and watch several divers and am very happy to see what they see. I'm currently going back through and watching all your videos as I do when I find someone worth watching. Some take weeks or months...lol I will be keeping up and liking the videos. Have you ever thought of "crevassing" for gold? I have seen some gold prospectors doing that and it is interesting...Thank you and God bless.
Hey! I am also a fan of mokpot's channel and I also hunt river treasure! I am a youth minister and try to make my channel as clean as possible!
Hey River Steward, I am now a subscriber to your channel, Thanks for tuning in!
Kathleen, Sad story about your waterways... : ( I am happy you are enjoying the videos. Yes, I have done some crevassing, never specifically for placer gold, but for what ever I may find, a few rings, coins, fishing lead, an old spur...
Stumbled across your vids,glad I did,very cool,All the way from Dublin,x
Hi Vanessa, I am glad you stumbled across the vids too! Way over here in California...
Really enjoyed that dive and your video. Enough coins for a burger and a beer on the way home.
I love a good burger! Thanks for tuning in!
...and a good beer!
Always enjoy your videos. I hope you do a lot more of the underwater metal detecting. I for one, want to see more of the underwater metal detecting. Thank you.
Hello Karl, more metal detecting on the way...
More crawfish herd footage!
Haha... you remembered!
Hi, was thing of getting myself one of those underwater scooters could you tell me how far it can get you? Would it get you out say 5 km and back again?
Wow you must have no joke 60 pairs of sunnies by now lol
Hey FIC, According to the manufacturer it has a range of up to 6 miles. The faster you go, will lessen the distance you can cover, as it will drain the batteries quicker. Personally I have gone over 3 miles on a single charge, and still had power. Here is a link the web site.

I would buy those raybans
I am wanting to do a give-away video for the good brands... would a chance to win be acceptable?
@@mokpot we are winning already with your content. Thanks for sharing the adventure
: )
Those were some big Crawdads yummy
They seemed pretty big to me too!
How deep is the water you're driving in
This spot is about 15 feet. Thanks for tuning in!
Have you ever died in campgrounds under diving boards I used to do that when I was young pull up a boatload of money Keys hair Bratz bracelets watches people forget to take out their pockets love doing that in the seventies every time we can't all over the United States
No, but over the years I have dived in popular swimming areas.
FYI Almost all higher priced sunglasses are manufactured by one company somewhere in Europe. There is a YT video about it.
Thanks for the info!
90% of all sunglasses purchased in the usa seem to end up in the water.
LOL... seems that way!
What are the dates of the coins that you're finding? You're showing them but, I can't quite make out what they are. Are you finding any older cc stuff?
I will often mention the older dated coins in the round ups at the end of the videos... Thanks for taking time to comment.
Another great dive
Thank you PaceD. Really good to hear from you!
Set the mud puppies free!
If the are in lost traps I do, if caught fair and square, someones meal.
No fish?
I saw a few, but the larger ones did not make it on video. The small ones just did not show up on the video.
Love the metal detecting as well. Really enjoyed the one at the old bath house site
Lake Tahoe this graveyard glasses
В самом начале были очки Леона киллера?
Thanks for watching!
That's using your noggin, the motor to fan away the sand that is...
Thanks for tuning in!
very nice video
Thanks Robert
Great Finds , it's amazing what you find under water.
Hello AIGR, yes, I agree, when you consider that this is just one small spot, how much is under water around the world? I appreciate you tuning in!
Loved your video! What would be the single most expensive item you've ever found?
Hard to say, I have never sold anything... My favorite things are Some of the old bottles I have found over the years, and a ring or two that pre date makers marks.
How come you didn't take the lobster that was your biggest fan the lobster
I was not hungry...
All kinds of treasures! Very interesting!
Thanks Mark
My x was a scuba instructor and always finding good treasures. I never learned so had no idea what he was seeing. Watching you is like going myself and it is very enjoyable. I make sure to watch all of yours.
Judy I am pleased you are enjoying my videos, happy to have you tuning in.
I want to hear the beep of the detector
Well, I am not sure how I would accomplish that. The camera is in a sealed waterproof housing, and the beeps come through waterproof headphones... I am open to ideas.
Well that was oddly satisfying.
I'll take that.... Thanks for tuning in!
Nice rig Good On Ya Mate.
Thanks Jerry, I appreciate the comment!
Yes more longer videos love to see them
I Enjoy your videos a lot
I am glad you enjoy them, thanks for taking time to say so!
Fun video! I subbed
Awesome!
... I love underwater photography ... Good video!
Thank you!
Mokpot what's the oldest item you've found ?
things fashioned from Stone
Good vid bro.
Thank you!
Time for gloves buddy
LOL, it is always time for gloves... this type of diving is hard on them...
OK! Awesome video, but is that a giant spider on your wall in the background at 17:33??!!
Oh, that's Bob, He is an African BooBong Spider, they eat fruit and are largely ground dwellers, but do climb trees for fruit.
OK, kidding! It is a metal spider a friend from work made for me.
That is so cool! Was going to say "Time to move!"
All the way to Alaska if California has spiders like that!
What do crayfish taste like?
I have been told they taste like lobster. Thanks for tuning in!
Cha ching $$$
: ) McDonalds dollar menu on me!
That is really clear for a lake
ahoe is well know for the clear clean water.
Cha ching
: D Dollar menu on me!
Ever thought about coming to Florida?
Hi Karen, yes I have thought about returning, I was diving the wrecks in the Keys.
@@mokpot what about coming to the Tampa area?
I would like to return there as well. My daughter and I swam with the Manatees there. I would like to repeat that and visit some of the springs in the area
The Sea Hunter small coil, short shaft is a great dive combo. The scooter is trick!
: ) thanks for tuning in!
What no gumbo? Love the video!
Howdy Bigdogg!

Sure, one man's trash is another man's treasure...
I love the Ray bans you get mabey you don't want them send em my way lol

@@mokpot sweeeet can't wait let me know sir I love your videos I watch them all the time
The Ray Bans with a P are polarized lenses. Approx $200 give or take.
KEEPING the lake blue is appreciated. Thank you. Since, there wasn't a fountain, nor well & I was a Goonies fan, as a child, I took change from my Dad's dish & tossed it in the Lake, often. So yeah, there's many, many, many handfuls of change in the lake. It gave me comfort then & I am not sorry. Finders keepers. Losers weepers. Enjoy yourself.
Hi Pixy Woman, Thank you! Cute pup!
With silver prices that is a bundle....
I heard them when rubbed together. Sounded like mostly silver
Silver in nice....
@mokpot love your channel. Something I have always wanted to do. Blue holes in mountain creeks where people jump off rocks but can not touch bottom are loaded in jewelry. I know every time I go atleast one person is upset do to loosing wallet or jewelry.
KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO🕶🪙💸 ⚓️ 👍
Thanks for cleaning up the environment!!! I appreciate everything that you do!!!
You could catch enough bugs for a seafood boil!
He's too lazy for that, just like he leaves trash on the bottom.
Always enjoy your videos, keep them coming
Thank you Paul
Another great video! Not sure if you looked into it yet but the pugs glasses are sold at gas stations...
I had not yet looked into it...Thanks for the info.
Cool videos but that noise the seascooter makes the video sounds not so desirable
Hey Chris, Thanks for tuning in. I am contemplating a way to reduce the motor noise.
Maga!!!
Yep. Thanks for tuning in!
They are trying to get rid of the crayfish too many and it’s polluting the water, last I heard Nevada is catching them but was not legal on the California side
they are trying to change that, the restaurants are benefiting they don’t use the word crayfish probably langistino ? I don’t think they are native to the lake.
Linda Christian you’re right crawdads are not native to the lake. They were introduced into Marlette lake (which flows into Tahoe) around the turn of the century. There are now estimated to be over 300 million crawdads in the lake. Commercial crawdad fishing is allowed in both Nevada and California to try and get a handle on numbers. The Asian clams, bass, blue gill and other invasive fish are way more of a risk and worry to the lake.
OK... I learned something here... I appreciate you both chiming in.
Nice dive and finds
Thank you !!!
@1:11 Oh Look.... Lunch. Just need some tators and Crawfish boil.
Well, OP is FAR too LAZY to do a boil.
I think every river and lake bed is covered with cheap sunglasses. Every diving treasure hunter finds bags and bags of them!
I think you may be right. They are fun to find!
