Eternamax eternatus was ultimatly stopped by 2 pokemon that weren't mentioned. Greninja for stage 1, sudowoodo with tearful look for stage 2

Congrats on the win! I got up to 200 last night with a fantastic team, aside from maybe Rapidash, but it was shiny so it was included.
I had Iron Bundle (MVP), Mega Beedrill (VERY good), Rapidash, Pawmott, Archaludon (very good), and Keldeo (who I got randomly towards the end).
Unfortunately, despite Iron Bundle and Mega Beedrill sweeping much of the end game, Eternatus ended up destroying me...
I got lots of eggs throughout this attempt, so I've got some other choices, including a shiny Poplio, which I have high hopes for.

    • @cryochasm9638
      @cryochasm9638 5 месяцев назад +6

My first cleared team was as follows:
Nidoking, for setting up Toxic Spikes and covering options with Earthquake/Megahorn (was gonna replace him with Glimmora but it Self-Destructed and also happened to kill the Registeel right next to it, unfortunate)
Golisopod, for sweeping with First Impression/Liquidation, and also because Emergency Exit wasnt fully implemented yet, so he was a lot stronger than he should have been at the time
Golumigo, the spliced fusion of Golurk and Flamigo, for sweeping with High Horsepower/Heavy Slam with the addition of having access to Roost, this guy was the MVP against Eternatus because he did like 2 healthbars per High Horsepower, it was very fun
Shiny Dustox, for Quiver Dance setup and sweeping with Psychic/Bug Buzz, Dustox usually isnt very good but i wanted to give him a shot so i did, and he carried his own weight pretty well id say
Shiny Skeledirge, for covering options with Torch Song/Will-O + Hex combo, this pokemon is so beefy even in bad matchups that more than half the time i could just leave him on the field with no cause for concern, very useful
And by FAR the MVP of this run: Shiny Linoone. Linoone might appear as a weird option at first, but ill be damned if he didnt save the run countless times.
So, how did Linoone work? Simple: Pickup. Pickup allowed me to eventually store 10 lum berries along with whatever else he could grab (A LOT), and then the gameplan begins: Belly Drum > live a turn on half health (250 hp) > Rest > wake up next turn > spam Slash until win --- This works because of Linoone usually eating whatever berries it had once it got in the red on the Belly Drum turn, and also because of the 40% damage increase from the 2 Silk Scarves it had. As long as the opponent wasn't a ghost type (which completely shut down Linoone), the enemy couldnt recover and resulted in an immediate loss. Mega Rayquaza and everything else the rival had (minus the Gholdengo, which shout-out to that thing for spamming Memento to have me not worry about it) literally just died instantly. I highly recommend trying this strat out if you are clinically insane.
I had a lot of fun with that run and I will be doing many many more runs later on, this game is so much fun and beating classic mode made it all the more rewarding.
also Gholdengo is absolutely absurd in Endless mode because of Make It Rain money drops, definitely try that too lol, if you have any questions feel free to tag me

I never really cared for rivals in any of Pokemon games (except for maybe N from Black & White), but I actually got emotional over Ivy's dialogue. I expected a usual "Oh well, I lost, good luck", but her final dialogue absolutely blindsided me, especially after the penultimate battle with her where she didn't say a single word, seemingly obsessed with winning at least once to the point where she got a fricking mega rayquaza on her side. And in the end, after another loss, she understood the higher purpose and just hoped for you to get home safely.
Why am I getting so emotional about a browser roguelike game's story

in earlygame, only use 2 or 3 max mons, so you don’t split your exp too thin
pick lures when you can, double battles are one of the best ways to get exp
pick at least 1 starter with a purple border if you can, they have pokerus which gives 1.5x exp

Finished my first successful run today. Most of my team was weak to fire, but I had Shedinja and got Toxic on it, which allowed me to Toxic Stall Mega Ray (no Dragon Ascent?). Had to play around their Swellow (threatening it out) and Torkoal (beat down with Magnezone), but the rest of their team had nothing for it.
The final battle against Eternatus was Shedinja walling it, then my Magnezone weakening it to the point of uselessness, and then slowly beating it down with my Annihilape and weirdly Ferrothorn, which had done basically nothing all run.

I just completed the classic mode for the first time after like 20 tries I used skeledirge,Alolan nine tales (mvp of the final fight),Excadril,a shiny trevenant,Gmax blastoise, and finally a g max grimsnarl I won the Eternatus fight by pure luck eternatus didn’t use recover and my ninetales managed to FREEZ the first stage and whittled it away with ice beam from ninetales, flamethrower didn’t kill trevenant so I managed to get a curse off and from there the rest of my Pokémon managed to defeat eternatus. My best tip for beating it is having multiple Pokémon with ice type moves and have a fairy type or ice type on your team bc mega requaza and eternatus are nearly impossible without them

Beaten regular mode twice now, first time wasn't too bad. it was my second time going against the 195 rival fight, knew I had to beat that mega ray. I think a shift gear revavroom setup got me through most of that battle. The second run I just finished this morning, soloed the mega ray with spiky shield on my chesnaught bc it kept going for fly. The second time was much more annoying, save scummed a ton, but luckily eternatus was pretty easy with excadrill and a lucky miss on the second eternabeam for my seed

How often do you get mega stones or dynamax? I've reached nevel 180 at least 3 times and I had never receive a mega stone nor a dynamax form. I always get the dynamax band, tera orb and mega bracalet, but I never recieve a form. I tried having a Charizard, gengar, lopunny and venusaur (also greninja but idk if in this game exists ash greninja as a mega) How can I get mega stones or dynamax so often?

I’m not very competitive in pokemon so these games are a littttle bit more difficult for me but I made it to 145 I think. Where she first gets her rayquaza. I even tried to do retries just to see if I could complete it / try to learn the floors a little better but I just was not expecting that fight just yet.
Think I had skeldirge machamp nidoking whimsicott venausaur and Lokix

But then i ran out of pp with them and eternatus stole my leftovers, then all my other pokemon got 2 shot so i have to start all over

Today I ended up sweeping the Rival on Wave 145 and most of Wave 195 with Shiny Mega Medicham (Starter).
They had Meganium, (Mega) Rayquaza, Noctowl, Kingambit, Hisuian Arcanine, and Sawk (in that order).
As you can see, their Team was super weak to Ice and Fighting, so I just needed Ice Punch and High Jump Kick.
Plus Zen Headbutt for Sawk. Good thing it didn't have Sturdy. Nor had issues with Accuracy for ZH or HJK.
Can't wait to unlock its Psyblade Egg Move. No longer miss chance and easier early game.
I did say MOST of Wave 195, because in Wave 145, the Rival started by switching into Rayquaza...
only for it to get destroyed by Ice Punch. I then outsped and OHKO'd everything else.
(Though I believe I missed a Zen Headbutt on Sawk, which allowed it use Low Sweep twice, but that wasn't enough.)
In Wave 195, this didn't happen, so Meganium died first, which allowed Mega Rayquaza to come out safely.
However, for some reason, it went for Dragon Pulse instead of Dragon Ascent, so Medicham survived.
It then OHKO'd Rayquaza with Ice Punch again, plus outsped and did the same to everything else until Arcanine.
Arcanine was now fast enough to outspeed, and since Medicham had low HP, it couldn't survive any attack.
But this Arcanine seemed to only know Raging Fury and Ember for attacking moves, so I could just wall it with Chandelure.
Set up some Minimize, and neither Arcanine nor Sawk had a chance anymore.
My final Team was Shiny Mega Medicham, Shiny Sawsbuck, G-Max Lapras, Chandelure, Rotom and Garganacl.
The Shinies were my staters (alongside a Tentacruel which I brought due to PokéRus, but eventually replaced by Lapras).
This Team had tons of immunities due to Abilities. Sawsbuck had Sap Sipper, Lapras had Water Absorb, Chandelure had Flash Fire and Rotom had Levitate. Garganacl ended up going ham on Eternatus with Salt Cure and Earthquake, and I had prepared Sawsbuck with Leech Seed to do the same.

Just now defeated the classic mode in my 9th run, posted it on reddit.Well first 8 runs were to gather as much as good Pokemon as possible. Silk scarf technician persian with fake outgimmicks mostly till 150 and other pokes as meat bait😂 (thief+pay day, side business). Got a gardevoir mega evolved her, future sight+moonblast. Got a brione --> primarina tanky as f, moonblast+scald+icy wind. Got a noivern boss with boom burst+air slash+ hurricane+ roost , which is monster.then Mole god sand force excadrill earthquake+ sd+x scissor+ rocks. Then there is this family mouse 🐁🐁🐭🐭.
Mega Ray was nuked with moon blast forced switches.
Eternatus was damn fun. Primarina excadrill switch gimmicks to Brain f the ai enough to lower the speed by 2 then sd eq when eternamax to pair with noivern then back forth switch gimmick with eq and icy wind and finally it's finished by mouses nuking the eternal dragon with its family.
One more thing dream eater doesn't work but it's not mentioned with N 😒

I just beat 200. Started with just tapu lele and jangmo-o. I caught a tinkaton, gholdengo, scyther (evolved to scizor), and a grotle (evolved to torterra). It came down to sheer luck and massive amounts of pp stalling to win in the end because I wasn't getting enough revives and potions after battles. Natures Madness only halves SOME pokemon's hps, like mega rayquaza, but not eternatus. Natures Madness only takes care of one bar of eternatus at a time, so you have to do a lot of swapping and move predictions to catch the super effectives on resistant mons. Unfortunately I only had one pokemon that flamethrower was not very effective against, and the rest were super effective, so SACRIFICES WERE MADE (bless Kommo-o for hanging on for dear life when all the others passed on before him, we salute you).

Whenever I play Pokemon, these are my mandarory type: fire, water, grass, flying, ground & electric..
Most of the time they're dual type. I always avoid using pokemon that has 4x weakness, except water/ground.. as you can see. both are my mandatory type, so there 1 place that's vacant so I can use other type like Dragon

I've genuinely accidentally gotten around to Watching your pokerogue videos a bit after I progress to a certain point that is direction in the thumbnail, just beat 200 for the first time, and unironically gained a favorite PokeRogue Pokemon: Woobat. If you hatched one I'd recommend seeing if it has Esper Wing or Mystical Power, it's pretty good. But because it can have both, and Woobat was one of the earliest Pokemon I got 2 Egg Moves in, it carried the early game vs wild mons, and even against Mega Ray it helped. Also it has Unaware, which means that opponent's stat changes are ignored when Woobat/Swoobat takes damage. And if you choose Woobat as your first starter, it's insanely easy to evolve into Swoobat, which makes rival 1 at 8 almost free. I'd recommend seeing if you have any combos like that if you haven't yet and are playing Pokerogue.
Alright that's all the time I got, I gotta get back to playing PokeRogue on my personal Chromebook while watching Cal complete his first run

I did manage to make it use the reviver seed, but I was out of my PPs, and on my last like 50HP. Was such a stupid fight. But I did learn. What's good for you early will make your life hard later. I mean, if you make it to later.

Pokerogue is a good game to have fun with.. the problem is that sometimes it's a bit mean.. I only managed to walk 200 twice and I lost both times and I got the second form of Eternatus.. I couldn't find a simple Fire Stone the first time. for my Vulpix.. and until now, I haven't found a simple mega evolution stone.. even though I have the Mega Bracelet in Play.. I think it's basically impossible to do damage in the final form without having at least one Mega on the team..
