    I’ve been wearing Wolverine boots a great many years, and have always been satisfied with them.

    These are my everyday work boots (auto repair) and I share your thoughts exactly, pretty much. I've also had Timberlands in the past for casual wear and had the same issue with rubbing, drove me insane. The Wolverines are not perfect (insoles wear out fast, outsole develops holes after ~a year or so, laces never stayed tied for me so I swapped them out for better ones), but for the price they can't be beat. For me, no break-in period and that's worth all the minor issues. If they wear out, you can buy two more pairs and still save money over buying the first pair of RWs. I'm on my third pair!

      Are they slip resistant though? I work in a plant around chemicals and when some spill it gets slippery.

      @petercookies5302 Год назад +1

      @@RyanKing9610 never had a problem with slippage, but I work on concrete floors so I can't speak to coated floors. I've since moved on to Irish Setters, a little more than the Wolverines but a massive step up in durability, worth checking out those too! (Hopkins model)

    I just received a pair of Harley Davidson Boots that I ordered. After I ordered a few days ago I learned that Wolverine makes some Harley boots. So I have ordered this boot without knowing. The only difference is it has a different sole and it has Harley Davidson badging instead of Wolverine. The laces are the same. Lol

      Dr Scholls insoles help a lot. I wear these types of boots with the heavy duty Dr Scholls insoles wearing them 10+ hours walking/standing a day and my feet don’t hurt as much.

  • @jupiter452

    I have a similar pair, at first they were good. High quality leather, full soul stitching, and great look. Then, I got sore spots on my ankles sides of my feet after a while. The issue persisted then got some dr. Scholls work insoles, I have not had an issue since. Super comfortable with the crawling and lifting I do for work. I had bought a $50 pair of boots prior from Walmart and those soles literally split in half at the soul after a month... 3x the price for the boots but I've already gotten 10x the usage. Only complaint is the break in time, 9/10

    Thanks im used to heavy duty boots and amazon is paying for them. My coworkers all got new balance sneakers but i know better to have ankle support when jumping out of vans and need Superior grip. Boots are just better yeah they're a bit heavier but being in good shape and having good ($40+) insoles help so much

    Ive had them for over 2 years now. The only peice that went bad so far is leather stiching on the sides of the boot. Both boots. But they have saved me a ton of money instead of buying nike shoes, addidas, and and the other shoes not meant for work.

    • @Gene1969
      @Gene1969 3 года назад

      I put on a coat of mink oil on mine and it added flexibility to the leather on that stitch point and helps it. I am a landscaper in Florida and am constantly shifting from standing to kneeling, bending these boots right where that stitch is. No problems so far.

    I've been wearing wolverine for probably 12 years I have tried Timberland Pro I have tried keen. Timberland PRO have way better waterproofing they're also warmer and there are more heavier. Wolverines are more comfortable the most comfy waterproofing is not the best but they do hold up well just like the Timberland Pro now keen are super light the sizes are all out of whack they don't last as long but I like them because they're super light if I get them for a good price I'll take them otherwise this Wolverine because the comfort and they're not as heavy as Timberland I do miss the waterproofing that Timberland provides is second to none

      I wear mine in Houston, year round, even in the hot months (90°-105°F) and they can get hot and sweaty. I prefer these in the cold months for obvious reasons, and because they aren’t as breathable as Amazon reviews said they were. Overall I still love these boots, mostly for their comfort. I can work in these all day long.

    Quick question from 1-10 how waterproof exactly are these boots in your opinion my good sir ?

    • @bird2002
      @bird2002  2 года назад

      so far I'd say 10, as long as you don't get water to overflow near the tongue/laces. I use these every time I go to my dad's ranch, and there's usually several inches of water in many parts of the property and I've never had water get in. Anything higher though, and it will overflow into the boot, so I'm also careful. They're comfortable enough for all-day work. But just like water doesn't get in, it also doesn't get out, so my feet will get real sweaty on those extra-hot days. They're worth it though. 2yrs later I'm still very satisfied with them.

    The soles of these boots aren't solid, they are hollow. I will be returning the pair I just received in the mail. These boots won't last me 1 month in my work conditions. They won't protect my feet from sharp objects on the ground.

    Worst boot I’ve ever bought. I work on the rail road and the sole got chewed up by the rail cars. In less than a month, there was a hole from one of the lugs getting caught and ripped off. Also these have a nylon shank. That’s next to useless when climbing ladders. I would imagine these being perfect for warehouse work but not heavy duty work
