yes works but its still kinda tricky but it helps but very hard if u try keep control over this puzzle and if import into 3D Studio Max u´ll end up with a lot of clipping planes and multi-sub textures. Don´t understand why Sketchup Up not giving possibility to merge them all together after making a terrain puzzle from 300 pieces and high resolution from the beginning or optionally just at export. I would pretty much buy it but i even just need only this small functions and this 3 times in 100 Years... so.... ;) By the way, the 3d information unfortunately does not look nearly as cool as in Google Earth ? How ever But Sketchup is o.c. a very nice program .. nothing against ! Greetings ;) ...near by free Version let u grab region in color * ;)
I pretty much fixed it. I think I wasn't zooming in enough so I could still see the white border :S One more question :) Is there anyway to get rid of the writing at the bottom of the terrain?(The Google logo, terms of use etc)
You can, but it's a little tricky. You essentially have to drape linework over the section to make it separate from the rest of the terrain and delete it. I don't know if I can explain it in words, but perhaps I will make a video on it sometime.
thanks! helpful!

is there any approaches that could delete or merge the overlapped area? It can be showy if we set the terrain transparency.
is the same thing if i import a hight resolution orthofoto terrain from google earth pro?
As soon as i click grab the window shrinks back down and the resolution comes out looking terrible:( arggg... any idea?
I've never experienced this. What version of Sketchup are you using?
