god spede u
amen
Thank you for your kind words!
LOL, just modded my original GPI case today. I need to cut the case to allow USB charging though. Currently I just slip the battery cover open slightly and insert the cable. Not the best, but I need to get some USB-C modules, only had the micro one laying around. Your builds look great.
I watch it late because of the RUclips bell ... I love this change.
RUclips doesn't like me too much man
Love what you're doing man. Keep going! Awesome you're setting up a shop for this stuff as I was wondering while watching if you take custom orders.
Thanks for watching man! I am almost done with the shop and waiting for some last parts, always wanted to make one but never had the time for orders
You are a NINJA of handheld modding!
Keep up a good work mate!
Thanks man! Glad that you like the mods, I saw your post on Super RetroPie, thanks for sharing!

Subscribed! Keep up the great mods, man. Looks great.
Thanks for watching Tony, glad that you liked it
I love it! There's no need to worry about subscribers, your work is amazing! I'm definitely going to try the USB-C battery mod!
Thanks for watching!
@@Adamstech is there any advantage to USB-C over Micro-USB?
@@Adamstech also I struggled to hear something you said, did you say super retropie rev C or E?
@@davidroberts3262 I said C, but now there is an E one as well :D
@@Adamstech thanks!
Yo Adam, I’m typing this for a giveaway but I genuinely think you’re one of the best rasppi channel out there. I absolutely love your channel and hope you get the recognition you deserve

I had one issue with the HDMI out Mod:
The Pi is mounted so far inside the case, that a Standard mini HDMI can't reach the pins of the connector
My solution (since i f'ed up the filing anyways) was to Cut a big enough hole to fit the entire connector and 3D print a removable cover
Awesome video! I am very interested in somehow getting a usb input on one of these. I have one that I havnt used in a couple years due to having another handheld I like more. But I got this crazy idea to build another tiny arcade machine (built 2 others so far) anyway these projects usually end up costing so much in the end, and I was thinking if I just make a wood cabinet for the gpi to slot into i already have most of what I need, but I need to find a way to plug the USB controller pcb that will be in the mini cabinet into the gpi. Any advice? I'd really like to be able to take it out and still use it outside the cabinet so I don't want to solder the controls directly to the gpi.
hey Adam! miss you and hope all is well
Hey, great video.
I have a question - i managed to find the usbc port easy on ebay, but the batteries are all too long, where can I find batteries that will actually fit and not be too long?
thanks
Woow nice modding! I like the color setup as well! Which games were you playing at the end of your video?
Thanks for watching the video! Glad that you liked it! Metal Slug 3 for Neo Geo and Adventure Island for NES
Great vid thanks 👍👍
Hello! Nice! You have link DiniertoDesigns for Stickers, not Sakuraretromodding.
Sakuraretromodding it's Repositionnable Stickers on etsy and ebay 👌😊
But thanks for mention 🤘
Forgot to add it! Is now :D
Adam Builds so Nice! Thank you very much 😄
you're pretty good
Thank you!
👍👍👍
Are you still making videos?
Adam, Do you know if I could use the usb-c charger for a gameboy zero?
Ofc you can! But you will need a booster added so you get 5 v from the USB c charger
Thanks for this awesome guide! Just a question, the intro video when you turn on retropie is different that the one I have with Super Retropie Rev D, do you know where to find it? Thanks!
The other image that I used in the video is the Supreme one, but is quite bad, it blocks all the time after 5 minutes of play and when I added the hdmi scripts started to not even turn on, so stay with Rev D in my opinion
Also, the most important part, Thank you for watching and glad that you found it useful!
@@Adamstech Thanks a lot for your answer, sticking to Rev D!
wow! nice video! guys the resolution is very bad on mine.... do you have any solution?
miss you adam!
I am soon coming back

how can I buy some of those back buttons
Hi Adam,
I have a question please. I tried to add the soft tactile buttons like you have done in your video, except that when I went to fold the buttons back to the board, the legs both sprung off and tore the pads off the pcb. I still have the trace lines left and the vias, so can solder directly to them, but do I need the points on the board which have been damaged? I'm trying to understand how the tactile buttons register a signal when pressed and although you only use the top 2 legs of the tactile switch, is there something additional happening with the trace lines under the tactile switches?
Is there any way to add L2 and R2 to this case?
Hi, I was wondering what theme is being used for retropie, it looks very nice and simple. I really like it.
That's is the Super RetroPie image and the theme that comes with it, is from the guys at Super RetroPie,
Where do you get your project boards? The green and blue work surfaces.
Hi, they are on amazon and double sided, this one is green and blue and I got another one pink and purple amzn.to/2YLlMM5
I lost safe shutdown after installing the HDMI script did I do something wrong?
Just reinstall the image, it shouldn't affect it in any way
What size is the step bit you use? I really want to change the buttons and dpad but Im a little apprehensive.
I will be completely honest, I lost the damn thing, the step hole that I used was the size 11. Find one from 6 to 12
Will this work with the pi zero 2 w?
Awesome mod! I did the usb-c + lipo mod for one of my cases and it works like charm! I used a different lipo (105068) and had do remove more of the case.
I have two questions: Can we change the voltage threshold for the low battery indicator (blinking led)?
And I scratched my front COVER :( Is there a way to replace the window for the screen without buying a whole new case?
Not really easy to find a lens, but if someone can help you that is Claire from Retroflag, just hit them up with an email, and they might be able to help you. Glad that you made it working and glad that I helped. With the voltage threshold I think it can be changed from within the script but don't quote me on that
Hi Adam, can you tell me how the custom buttons stay in the console? Do they not fall out once it's picked up? I'm just trying to understand what keeps them attached. I know they have grooves to slot into the plastic edges but as the buttons move, don't they become loose? I have all the parts to do this mod, I'd just like to know in advance. Thanks!
The buttons has some pegs on each side, which keep them in place, they can't fall trough as you enlarge the Wells to the same size as the SNES controller
@@Adamstech Thanks for replying. When I ordered the 3D prints mentioned in your description, the buttons arrived with 2 small plastic pins, are they the pegs you're referring to? Where do they go? Also, what sandpaper did you use to file the buttons? Thanks Adam!
Sorry just saw the message, yes those are the pegs that I am speaking about, in the backside of the button, you will find a circle indent, there you need to glue it
@@Adamstech Thanks Adam. I really appreciate your help. Your videos are great.
you still around?
What about a link to the battery?
It should be somewhere in the comments
When will you re-up your stock of mod cases? I went to your site but it’s all sold out.
Hi, Covid hit me quite hard in terms of time and revenue so I hope as soon as possible
Very cool tutorial! For some reason I can't get the hdmi detect script to work. I have to "disable hdmi output" in the options menu in order to use the GPi screen again. Any ideas? I made sure to put the script before the "exit 0" line. I'm using a Magnus RC 32 bit Supreme Gpi image.
It does the same for me as well, I showed that I disable it as well, we have to try with a new image
Adam Builds cool. I’ll keep working at it too. If I find a solution I’ll post it here. Thanks for the reply!
Thanks man, if you do, it would be great!!
What wattage USB C charger can you use, is it USB C PD or only USB C to A?
USB Type-C socket as a standard supports 20 V at 5 A (20 * 5 watts) 100 watts. For ratings of the charger check Tp4056 and check the spec sheet.
Adam where do you get the battery's from?
I had a link in the battery mod video, ebay, Aliexpress
You build consoles like this and sell them. If so, let me know I want a console of these :)
Why No Video's ??? Do Video's .......
You have romanian accent!
Finally someone nailed it! Everybody thinks that the accent is Indian!
but stop massacring super equipment! shit !
What so super about it? And may I ask where is the massacring part?
I seen some aa sized lithium ion batteries that run at 1.5 volts would those work well with this case?
In a non modified version I don't really know as I never used them with aa batteries, but you can hook them up in series and you have 3V that can be boosted if you are looking into modding it
Adam Builds I’d like to purchase one of these full completed and ready to go. Can you reach out to me and let me know how much you’d want for something like that?
