Its a shame thry didnt quite have the atmosphere of it figured out in odst. The glassing in Reach is harrowing and incredibly disturbing. In odst its just kinda goofy.

@@oliverogden4999I agree with him. With Halo: Reach, it’s almost like a nuke wiping out a city with the amount of power. ODST understood how to create atmosphere amazingly, but the beam just looks weak, like it affected a building or two.

Glassing in halo is weird. Is it nuclear-based? How does a ship hold enough material to beam an entire planet into “glass”?

I like most technology in halo besides maybe slip space drives are plausible in real life like fusion reactors lasers and railguns.
I think Halo plasma is several times hotter than the surface of the sun. So something that extraordinarily hot would indeed turn stuff into glass (kinda like real life, where you make glass out of molten). Those Covenant ships would be like getting hit by a bolt of continuous lightning that has the diameter of a football field. And yes, lighting is much, much hotter than even the sun.💀
This is why I wanted the flood to win.
@@Auto-UTTP_Report_Bot I agree that the flood are worse overall, but I mean this is just horror to me. The flood are terrible yes, but the covenant actively makes the decision to do this to planets knowing full well, and not caring, that it renders planets uninhabitable to both sides. That being said, do we know if planets lost to the flood can be reclaimed? I dont remember a lot from the time I made this comment 😅
@@aurorialgaming1935 Bruh, the flood is a million times worse, you think burning everything is bad, the flood turns everyone into monsters, and then spreads its mass across the entire planet, there is no reclaiming a planet after the flood take over, unless you blow it up, the flood will probably just board you and use your ship to fly to another planet
