  • More than 340 people have been detained in 30 cities across Russia after gathering to mourn the sudden death of Alexei Navalny.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
G7 Foreign Ministers have demanded an explanation - while President Biden warned Russia three years ago that there would be devastating consequences if Navalny died. But what consequences now, with the dissident's mother still looking for her son's body?
Our Foreign Affairs Correspondent Jonathan Rugman reports.

You are totally right. Navalny's body truly belongs to his MOTHER because she is the one who made that body and therefore it belongs to her. His body should have a thorough autopsy in another country to reveal The Truth of what really happened to him.

*Of Course* it was going to go this way. Both in his murder And by the family being denied his body.
*A criminal doesn't give evidence for crimes committed.*
And a person doesn't have to be psychic to know this is going to go one of three ways. One; the family will never get his body back because he's "buried on prison grounds, as he was a prisoner at time of death", Two; his remains are returned to the family, but he's been cremated, or Three; it will take so long and so much "investigating" will be done to him that he will not only be in such an advanced state of decomposition and dissection, that the truth of his murder will never be known.
Navalny was martyred the moment he stepped back on Dictatorship soil. And there is not enough mourning or verbal condemnation posturing by global leaders to atone for his murder. How many voices of change are going to be silenced before the world says ENOUGH.
We sure haven't managed to say it yet for the thousands of innocents lost in Ukraine.

Hello from Moscow. Thousands of people came out in Moscow and in the regions to honor the memory of Alexei Navalny and lay flowers. The police prevented flowers from being laid and destroyed memorials and arrested many people over these few days.
Alexey's body has not yet been returned to his family.
Happy memory to the courageous man Alexei Navalny! We mourn for you! Your business will not be forgotten! We remember your words and your call - never give up!
During the elections, on March 17 at 12:00, we will gather for a protest rally
    - Noon against Putin! The meeting places are your polling stations.

It makes more sense that he gets the blame for Navalny's death (reminds me of Epstein's death) and the MSM can overshadow the Carlson interview by pillorying him for the alleged death. *Imperial views*
In February, just before the anniversary of the invasion, **Navalny posted a restatement of his opposition to the war and called - unequivocally - for respecting Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders as defined in 1991, including Crimea.**
He did not mention the illegally annexed peninsula by name, but he also did not repeat his “bologna sandwich” remark about Crimea not being returned.
**“What are Ukraine’s borders? They are the same as Russia’s - Internationally recognized and defined in 1991,” Navalny wrote. “Russia also recognized these borders back then, and it must recognize them today as well. There is nothing to discuss here.”**
In his post, which he called “15 points from a Russian citizen who wishes the best for his country,” Navalny called for the withdrawal of Russia’s troops, for the investigation of war crimes and for Ukraine to be compensated using Russia’s oil and gas revenue.
Navalny reiterated his previous call for the reformation of Russia’s government as a parliamentary republic. And he pushed back on the view, increasingly prevalent in Ukraine, that all Russians want to subjugate neighboring countries.
“Are all Russians inherently imperialistic?” Navalny asked. “This is bulls---. For example, Belarus is also involved in the war against Ukraine. Does this mean that the Belarusians also have an imperial mind-set? No, they merely also have a dictator in power.”
“There will always be people with imperial views in Russia, just like in any other country with historical preconditions for this, but they are far from the majority,” he continued. **“Such people should be defeated in elections**, just as both right-wing and left-wing radicals get defeated in developed countries.”
Navalny, while blaming Putin, argued that most Russian people do not support the war - a point contradicted by public polls.
“The real reasons for this war are the political and economic problems within Russia, Putin’s desire to hold on to power at any cost,” Navalny wrote. “He wants to go down in history as ‘the conqueror czar’ and ‘the collector of lands.’”
**Navalny reiterated the need to compensate Ukraine. “This would be ethically correct,”** he wrote.
While such comments are applauded in the West, it is hard to imagine average Russians endorsing the idea of compensating Ukraine.
He concluded: **“Recognizing our history and traditions, we must be part of Europe and follow the European path of development. We have no other choice, nor do we need any.”**

Hesitation to hand over the body can only mean a cover-up necessity to re-traumatize the body post-mortem to hide the actual trauma that killed him: anything from a well placed needle to gaseous/chemical exposure to more obvious attack or food/drink or material insertion, to a regular shiv or blunt object. It is possible to kill someone by exposing them to something that doesn't take effect right away (even days) and is not traceable, but the chances of that being cover-up successful when foul-play already under suspicion (i.e. independent forensics and forensic-specific-expertise will be focused on looking for) are very remote in today's forensic ability's. Navalny's 'accidental fall' walk occurred in ISOLATED-from-prison-population max-security INSIDE-a-building unexposed to any slippery floor or brunt of arctic-weather or extraneous obstacles (a bit like walking in a hall devoid of obstacles like tables and chairs or left-behind prison materials, but not necessarily devoid of any prison staff or other max-security inmate observing or joining him in the hall. Some contract & serial killers are sent to this prison, it's not a 'political prison').

My thinking on how he was killed in my humble opinion is this ; For what I've read and seen is that Alexei had been taken between the normal cell and a solitary confinement cell, mixing it up in a bid to break him down but nothing was working the way it was meant too, so this last message was sent by Alexei in which you can see he is laughing and in good spirits, looking by the video he was also laughing along with the screws looking like they'd formed a bit of a relationship and become friends. Now can you imagine putin looking at this clip, after trying to chip away with one goal, to crush/Break Alexei anyway possible without showing any physical signs of torture. Not only that but for him to have struck a friendship up with the jailers, there's no way possible this freaks tiny self esteem could handle that, sure because everything in his life was bought, threatened, blackmailed...
You won Alexei, you surely deep down knew what would happen on your return to your homeland. He will fizzle out with one of his own taking him out and it will be hushed just like all the rest. But you, you your name will be forever linked to grace and fortitude 🙏!!

You can have all the land in the world but most of it is uninhabitable. Short summers and freezing winters - black skies and poor street lighting. That’s how I remember my visits.

Large parts of Russia are also poor for growing fruit and veg. Ukraine, by contrast is high quality land for growing food - as it's very fertile.
This is the principle reason for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Because they still see it as 'their' land, from Soviet times. Ukraine was known as the 'bread basket of the USSR'. Now do people realise why Russia and Putin invaded Ukraine. Because they're desperate to get their hands on this fertile land.
Russia is also quite a poor country, despite Putin saying otherwise. Other than Moscow, and St. Petersburg, all the other cities in Russia are poor, and nowhere near the standards of Europe.

Deepest sympathy to the Navalny Family, what a very very brave young man, that stood up for Freedom Humanity and Democracy, against a Dictatorship Regime, do any Russian People have a Passport to visit other countries cultures,, all our children of tomorrow should have the opportunities that children living in a Free and Democratic Society have, not being Supprest by a Political Elitism Dictator, let's hope it may happen sooner than later, within their Country's Society, not under a Political Dictators bullying Regime, under the leadship of a Dictator named Sputin Putin, ex KGB Dictator

@@Christinebanks11 Definitely. This is my theory about what happened--It was late. A handful of the prison guards were sitting around getting drunk, marveling over how Navalny was still alive after everything he's been through. How could he be so tough? And then they made a bet--could he survive a 10 km forced march in nothing but his prison jumpsuit in the middle of the night in subzero temperatures?
