    Thanks so much. I did my first scarf tonight and had stitches over and didn’t know. How to do this. I even thought of marking stitches with pairs of yarn holders. I will use this next time. I have subscribed.

    Thank you very much Miranda, this is very clear to me and on my first try I did not have enough yarn but I've learned my lesson and will leave a longer end to crochet the slip stitches the next time. I love the idea of putting a different colour for one round at each end of scrap yarn, it sure saves my old eyes. Good video.

    Thank you so much! I’m relatively new to circular knitting machines. I was using a different method for closing my tubes. Your way makes so much more sense. Thanks for your wonderful, thoughtful videos. They are very helpful.

    Amazing! I have only tried one ear warmer I saw without scrap yarn. I messed up so bad trying to close it. I will be trying this and looking for ear warmer videos now too! You make it look easy. Perfect views and explanations. Even when you speed up your video! I will be watching lots more workshops of yours! I’ve been getting discouraged. This gives me hope. I paid so much getting my Addi and supplies and yarn to keep failing at everything. I know it’s a learning curve. I watch so many videos. This looks like I may be able to do it. Of course I only know how to crochet a straight row. I’m trying to learn that also but focusing on Addi I paid so much for. My husband is encouraging but concerned I feel that I’m not producing anything. I made him 2 hats that were pretty good. The rest Ive messed up. Can’t wait to watch more of your tutorials! ❤️

      Take your time to learn. But don’t think complicated. Don’t overthink. Its all about hooks pulling yarn through loops. Hooks have to catch the yarn and the loops need to be in place. Make yourself comfortable with a cup of coffee or tea and watch the first video. Don’t give up!

    Tahdah! It must be because I'm Scottish but I say why wouldn't you reuse scrap yarn 🤣 but I do like the fact there is no picking away at the cast on row before you pull it out. Bravo. I shall try this next time, thankyou.

    I love this idea. I have been trying to make the carden . But having trouble. I can not understand what size yarn or type she is using. My machine keeps skipping the st. I am wondering if my yarn is to heavy. do I need to use a 3 ply? Some of the yarn gets very long. and some way to short. I cleaned and greased my Addie. Can you tell me what this yarn is she is using for size. 0I am in the USA. I love the things she is doing to teach us all. and the way this works to close up ends. Work's like a charm. Help needed for sure. I want to wear it soon. Will be getting cold.

      I’m using yarn about 5mm. And the cardigan is a kind of one size fits all. When finishing off you can adjust armlenght. And length of the cardigan is adjustable also. This weekend I make an updated version for the cardigan video.

    Now I don't have to waste my waste yarn ;) At the top you would not need two colours of waste yarn though, as it unravels easily from that end.

    • @MaakhetmetMiranda
      @MaakhetmetMiranda  3 года назад

      Yes. But. I Like to unravel it as I reuse it so it don’t get al fringled up as a long threath. So unravel when knitting. This saves also time. 😉

    Thanks for sharing another wonderful closure mett. Love this method. Would this work with the joining tubes in a braided method as well?

    • @MaakhetmetMiranda
      @MaakhetmetMiranda  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely. Just don’t join the first 2 and the last 2 stitches but skip the first and the last stitch.
      Or.
      Just skip the two opposite stitches while knitting the single strand so they drop. Put the strand manually behind this two needles while knitting that single round. And then continue with the last scrapyarn.

    Eindelijk heb ik me kunnen abonneren op je kanaal. Bezit nog niet zo lang alle addi machine’s, en vindt het superleuk om te leren. Helaas veel filmpjes in het engels, en yes die van jou in het nederlands. En ik heb de grote vraag of u ook echte workshops thuis geeft? Ik ben serieus geïnteresseerd.

    How do you use 1 color scrap for cast on edge and remove/sew it after end of project before cinching drop scarf?

    • @MaakhetmetMiranda
      @MaakhetmetMiranda  8 месяцев назад +1

      For dropstitch you only use this at the start. At the end you casting off just every other stitch. You don’t use scrapyarn at the end. Only at the beginning.

    • @elainem9774
      @elainem9774 8 месяцев назад

      Yes I was talking about the caston only. Is it possible to use 1 color waste yarn and not 2 and achieve the same results?@@MaakhetmetMiranda

    • @MaakhetmetMiranda
      @MaakhetmetMiranda  8 месяцев назад

      @@elainem9774 ofcourse you can use one color. Removing is more complicated than. Also you can skip scrapyarn. When you know how knitting works. You can make it as difficult as you like. I don’t understand what the problem is with the simple method to make it as easy as possible. You can reuse scrapyarn over and over. Using two colors is less time consuming than using one or none.

    • @elainem9774
      @elainem9774 8 месяцев назад +1

      do you have a video where it shows how to use 1 color caston (how to remove it)?@@MaakhetmetMiranda

    • @MaakhetmetMiranda
      @MaakhetmetMiranda  8 месяцев назад

      @@elainem9774 no. Because that is more work than this method. Why would I advice something that is not handy.
