Hey Sam great video! What rack did you use to fit the Givi top case? I'm thinking of buying the same model for my 1290 SAS and I am a little bit confused on what rack to use. Thanks a lot!
Hey! Thank you! It's the Givi one. You have to remove the stock rack from the bike and replace it with this. I think it's the SRA7713 if I remember correctly!
Thanks for you videos! Helped me make the decision to pull the trigger on picking up 2022 1290 SAS. Never had a top box on any of my prior bikes and I am trying to decide how big of a top box to get. Does the GIVI top box you are using catch a lot of drag? Trying to make a decision between the OEM KTM, Givi 30L, or Givi 46L.
Haha congratulations on the new bike! Mine is a 46l which works really well. You really don't need something that big for daily use though. It doesn't create drag in the sense that the bike gets slowed down, but it can cause the handlebar to wobble if its loaded up heavy oddly enough. I was thinking about buying a small tail bag for the daily use
Thanks for a good video. The windscreen spoiler that you have on your KTM, what type is it, and are you happy with it? I am 190 cm tall and struggle a lot with turbulence in the helmet.
Thank you! It's a Puig one and am really happy with it. I can ride with the visor up without issue. At 190cm, I'd suggest maybe going for a bigger screen in general though as it might not be a solution that works as well for you
Thanks for another amusing video Sam how many different add ons have you fitted to your bike from new, I’m on 14 so far and still going that’s the best bit when you change bikes💪
Great upload again Sam, I agree with you on these. I tend to leave my top box on the bike as it's just so useful and love the deep tone of my Remus system.
@@SamVBikes those Arrow cans sound amazing, I rode a speed triple with the twin upswept system and kept rolling off the throttle just to listen to them on the over run. I'm not going to ABR at Ragley hall as the day tickets are a bit pricey, especially as I couldn't take advantage of most things without an appropriate bike. If you fancy meeting for a coffee off site we could do that?
Yes! I love those Arrows on the Speed Triples. Really wish manufacturers would start bringing back the under seat exhausts! No problem! I'll drop you a message, I think we arent going to stay for the full weekend and got a lot planned but hopefully will have time!
@@SamVBikes it's a shame, I think euro 5 has killed them off and they complimented certain bikes, especially the trip. It would be good to meet up, I don't do FB or other social media but we can find a way, even if I ping you my number on here, then delete it. I just need to find the time to get one of the bikes MOT'd before I lose the summer. Jubilee bank holiday is coming up so maybe then 🤞
Agreed! Although I'd like to think with all of these new in-line catalytic converters, they could find a way of doing it. Have the main box under the bike, then have pipes running up under the seat. Definitely get the bike MOT'd. You'll be gutted if you miss out!
@@SamVBikes yup. Strange thing to run out of if it’s so popular. I’m planning on revisiting the T this autumn. Plenty for sale for into London commutes.
I don't think they have officially put them up for sale yet. Still I'm development by the looks of their instagram! Need to get them soon, seem to be getting into a habit of dropping the bike 😂
Well, people who remove the dB-killers from their exhausts are the reason “our friends in blue” are now measuring sound levels and sending you fan mail if they think you’ve been naughty…
Luckily even without the dB killer, mines not too loud. It just had a much deeper noise. I leave for work early in the morning so I couldn't abuse my neighbours that much if it was stupidly loud! I'm confident this wouldn't set off any noise cameras
@@SamVBikes My GSA got the Akrapovic exhaust for that very same reason: I don’t like the sound of the default exhaust. But I keep the limiters in. I think the official limit is 95 dB: from 96 upwards, serious fines are given. I know a few people who ride a Harley with an open exhaust, and that thing is LOUD! 😱 Even with my custom ear plugs, I don’t want them riding in front of me…
Agreed! Some of them are crazy loud and If I'm honest, I don't see how it's enjoyable to ride. I'd be pretty confident that the Arrow would pass testing
7:01 soon Sam no need to shout 😂😂
😂😂😂
I was half expecting you to mention the accessory inside your top box, never mind, lovely short video bud
Haha! Those dividers are a given of course!

Most welcome! Haha I don't like to admit things like that in writing... it makes me remember how much I've spent 😂

Thank you! Yes agreed, I do the same with mine! Great to throw stuff in

hello Sam’, how did you change the lay out from your Dashboard?
It's Rally mode which comes in the Tech Pack!
I meann I love the short vids but some longer ones every now and then wouldn’t hurt 😆
Don't worry! Plenty of longer ones on the way!
I agree about the exhaust. The stock muffler on my 2017 1290 SA-T was huge. Went with a Leo Vince. Much better looking and it sounds so sweet.
It changes the bike doesn't it?! Makes it so much fun to ride! Thanks for watching
What mesh jacket you got mate?
This is the Knox Urbane Pro mk2. Love it!
@@SamVBikes cheers 👍
"My Exhaust makes me trouser happy"
Hahahahahahahah
You crack me up 😀👍
Another fun vid, thanks Sam , keep em coming.
Haha! No problem at all! Glad you enjoyed
Specific not Pacific. That’s an ocean.
I definitely said 'specific'. I'm well aware the Pacific is an ocean. Assuming its the microphone that's made it sound like it's cut off
🤣 Fab vid as ever! Need that complete crash bar kit to come back into stock from Outback Motortec!
I'm signed up to every email list they have to let me know when it's in stock 😂

Some people seem to think so yes, but then again the kind of parties I attend might not be for everyone 😉
