Very underrated band, in my circles anyway. Throwing Copper is a favorite album to list to front to back, back to front and upside down. Back from vacation and I’ve got a lot of catching up to do here, great way to start. Thanks dude!
I’m a very simple man Ryan... I see your lesson of the song I’m wanting to learn, I watch it, save it to my to-go list of songs, and then give you a thumbs up. Thank you for this one, all others before and after this one, and all others to come!
Hey just realized you hit 16k. Congrats bro!! That means there’s 16,000 people that you’ve inspired to play guitar and im glad to say im one of them :)
8/18/19. Continuing on with singers who strain their vocal chords and are depressed and later committed suicide, I was thinking of Filthy Frank’s depression and he had to stop doing the Filthy Frank character and voice. George Miller, who played the Filthy Frank character, had to stop doing the Filthy Frank voice because he was depressed and he said the Filthy Frank voice was ruining his vocal chords and that was adding to his depression. I believe Kurt Cobain was told by some doctor to stop singing like he did or he’ll ruin his vocal chords, but maybe Kurt Cobain is thinking if he stops singing like he did, he’ll stop being popular.
What's the skinny on the guitar pic in the background? Eddie Vedder tours with a Tele with that target/arrow on it. . . I am assuming he got it from someone.
Thanks as always for an awesome lesson. Next Live maybe an earlier one, Pain Lies on the Riverside perhaps? Always loved the groove on that one. Do you have any suggestions for getting that A major shape barre chord on the fifth string down? I can do minor and major on 6 and 5, I can do one finger A major open, but as soon as I add the barre on the fifth string, it's over. Is a low action the secret? I just can't seem to get it.
Are you playing an acoustic? It's certainly harder on an acoustic, but really it's just try and try and try and try. Make sure your ring finger is bending backwards on the joint closest to your finger tip, so the other joint will jut away from you
Love Live ... only saw them once I. Washington PA play with the Counting Crows... I had the flu and couldn’t enjoy it fully.. :-( You must do The Presidents of the Inited States!! Lump and Peaches are obvious choices. But this may surprise you ... when in Seattle last year for Pearl Jam week... the day I Volunteered at the SubPop 30 year festival... was wondering around and came upon the kids stage... a dude was up there singing silly kids songs ... my friend who’s in the know informed me that it’s the guy from Presidents !! He does that sorta thing all the time... which I thought you’d appreciate...
I was using an old fender amp of some sort with a tube screamer. wasn't exactly the right tone for the chorus of this song (for the verse it was good) but I found it very pleasing :)

I trust you had an amazing vacation Kevin!

Ryan Lendt when in WV, Paddy was visiting .. he’s a huge Counting Crows fan.
Tom Morello says if you wanna play heavy play an F# 🤪
What amp and Gain did you use in this video, I dig the mild drive sound
