Felt like these updates need to be in the game day one. Base ACNH is a bit shallow. I'm glad they're adding content, but the time to add more content feels too long and in between. That's my criticism. Otherwise, I'll be looking forward to this update.

I always thought “they’ve put too many detailed rock formations under the ocean for a game where you don’t dive in it”. Everything makes so much sense now.
The last AC before this one has this feature so actually its already a given that an update will be coming.
@@ecmyk7863 Nothing's really a "given" with game development, honestly. Many games, even from Nintendo, that have had features in previous titles don't have them in future releases. Ever.
Not a great example since Nintendo's only a third of the ownership, but Pokemon often has features removed in later titles much to the chagrin of fans. I've given up on that series and it's depressing.
@@Lucifronz I think what they're doing with Animal Crossing is to reduce labor on the workers. Since it's very labor intensive. Same thing they're gonna do with GTA 6 supposedly
@@dvchaz01 Well the game was delayed to reduce crunch, at least according to Nintendo. I have always believed the reason holidays were being released over time was a way for them to further reduce crunch rather than being a way to prevent time travel and spoiling those holidays ahead of time (that's just a benefit for the developers who desperately want people to play the way they say).
So I fully believe they'll implement many more things missing from the older games in updates.
But nothing is a given, like I said. There may be, at minimum, a piece of furniture or villager or feature that someone liked that isn't going to make it into the game. That's alright, I understand, changes happen and other things take priority if they hold more appeal, but I hope we get back some fan-favorite content and other cool stuff like the Sanrio characters.

Yay! My little cousin about 4 years old plays animal crossing with me and when they tried to swim in the ocean they asked me why it's not possible and i said "they haven't added it in the game yet" and then she got sad. Since my cousin is going to be with me and my family for another 1, 1/2 weeks she will be able to see the ocean update, tysm😊!

There is a room in the back of resident services, Nooks Crannies, and Able Sisters, so maybe those can open up once noon hits for lunchbreaks. Also, it isnt like it be hard, they also could do something like Mr.Ressetti and Don Ressetti in NL, where ever so often, you can enter their home, and see normal every day things.

God I'm so tired of fishing up only sea bass, I've seen people with sun fish and other fish but the best fishes I have are great white shark, a whale shark (2 of my favorite fishes at least), a hammer head shark, and ore fish, and that prehistoric fish whose name I can remember. My aquarium is damn near barren.

Ya'll never hear of Polar Bear Clubs? Big thing in Canada. Middle of winter, you swim or bathe in freezing, frozen water. Mostly its old people, apparently it makes them feel good or 'fights the aging process' or something.
What sucks is that we don't get a different update because we're on winter!

Where I live in the northern hemisphere, the ocean is warmer during winter because of the El Nino currents.... If climate change doesn't make us on the West Coast of the USA miss it this year.

I always expected that they would add the diving feature back in. Seeing as New Leaf had it, New Horizons felt incomplete without it

I'm SO done with winter by now... the Island looks ugly and boring with all that white. Why don't treat it like in the real world? They can keep the snowing as rain, and only cover the Island in snow for a day or two, when it was supposed to be a heavy rain.

I kinda want more uh... "normal" looking furniture series both crafted and not crafted. There's a good amount of furniture in this game but a good portion of it is themed and not something you'd see IRL.
I can predict that Brewster makes a comeback during the Winter Solstice for the Northern hemisphere. So the coffee, tea and hot chocolate can warm up the villagers. As for players in the Southern hemispere, it'll be their turn to experience all the summer stuff (swimming, wedding photos, etc) I may not be correct on whether this prediction comes true or not, but we'll have to leave that for the future.
Well, diving was found in the games code and was a thing, so was Brewster so I'd say there's a good chance
@@tonimauge3907 we get the wedding stuff same time as you guys. Infact we get all the same update features. Would be nice to get something winter related at the same time since both seasons are in affect.
Brewster may be coming in Fall or Winter.

It actually wasn’t unexpected. Theres a video on RUclips that shows leaks in the game that will be added throughput the year. I recommend checking it out if you don’t care about the updates being spoiled
