Just want to say tysm to everyone whos worked on this update, its honestly amazing and did everything everyone was asking for! It shows how much you listened to the fans and how you didnt just quit major updates for the game! This must of took so much time and effort and work and just ty to everyone who worked on this, I'm so excited for the update!

Oh my gosh, looks like I'll be spending my whole Fall and Winter break with AC;NH. I'm so excited the DLC is like a whole new game too! Happy Home Designer is the only AC English title I never got to play. I'm so excited!

@@NuiYabuko The thing is, the most we got with New Horizons were a few small updates and some holiday events. Nothing much to be excited about. Thankfully they added all these quality of life features as well as the DLC so hey, I'm popping off

Just started Animal Crossing NH today, I missed the DS new leaf and wild world days... so only right thing to do was relive the memories! Here's hoping there isn't too much to do ;)

I would have loved to see a multiplayer minigame island, even if it were paid DLC. Make it so you can set a DODO code so your friends who own the DLC can join you. I'd pay $10-$15 for that.

It almost feels like an entirely new game. This is what almost ALL of us wanted! Thanks, Nintendo.
Updates I want in ACNH
- Villagers not being able to learn other villagers catchphrases or nicknames they came up with for you. Also when they ask to call you something and you say no, you are able to suggest them a nickname for you after that.
Nothing is more annoying than some other villagers saying the perfect catchphsre you came up for someone else.
- Island hopping so there is so need to go back to the airport everytime you want to visit a new island
- Custom designs can be removed from the ground only in the build mode, just like normal paths
- Also being able to mass paint paths by pressing the buttom, holding it and moving
- You can view and remove villagers gift clothings you gave them from their inventory on harveys island (maybe one per day?). That way you don’t have to give them the same clothes twice because you forgot 😂 and you can make them not wear a certain piece clothing, not the whole outfit they have on.
- Brusters cafe has the other NPC’s not yet included in the game visiting it✅❓
- Able sisters shop having a shopping cart and also showing a some kind or mark next to the clothes you already have.
- More inventory and custom design space 50/50✅didnt say anything about custom design space tho
- Some changes to terraforming to make it not suck so much. Maybe you could draw the terraforming pattern on the ground in some kind of 2D map viewed from the top, then it would mass terraform it. It can even cost some bells I dunno
- New furniture✅
- Being able to place matts outside
- Some easier way to make villagers leave your island without amiibo cards
- Being able to move a bridge, incline or a house by one square. No placing it somewhere else and THEN placing it to the same spot but one square further
- You can go to someone elses island and ask their camp visitor to come to your island
- More bridges and inclines, 10 is good✅
- Let us put bridges over increased platforms, not just water

I'm just happy because I realized that now with all these new updated HD models of furniture and the like, if Nintendo ever wanted to make a new Animal Crossing in the future it would be a lot easier and less-resource consuming than it was this time. They'd just need to add more features like minigames and shop size increases, along with a lot more furniture and this would be a dream game.

here we are, im back, back to feel the joy that i felt when this game was still getting updated
there's literally only 2 things i could ever want to be added into acnh after the update, then it'd be the PERFECT game; more villager dialogue and rugs outside!!
OMG yes the rugs outside!!! I almost forgot about that! I've actually been requesting bridges that go from Cliff to Cliff without having to use water in between.
We have gotten more villager dialogue in the last 2 mini updates

Yes! I got 3 of my dreamies while villager hunting on my new island yesterday but they were a part of the 3 houses when you start the game so it’s amazing that we can be able to make it look just like the villagers home without kicking them out and moving them back in!

You can only remodel their houses if you pay for the DLC. The “skills” that you learn in the job are stuff you can use back at your island.

Man, it’s now been 1 year since the swell update released. I remembered it released 1 day early. Boy, I remember my friends had such a blast playing with the new features like stretching, Going to Harv's island, and designing homes for villagers. Ah, memories.

No. There's no hide and seek with villagers and no speaker to find them. And you can't change their floor and wallpaper like older games without the need of paying real money lmao
Not everything. The upgrades to the Nook Mart aren't around and neither are the island minigames.
It's nice that Kapn' is back but his function in New Leaf was to bring you to the island that had minigames
and that isn't around anymore. There is a lot more to do in New Leaf than New Horizons still but it's better
now than it was. Also yes it's great that the cafe is back but in New Leaf you could work there and give coffee
to your villagers. You can't do that in New Horizons.

Cafe do be disappointing though. Can't do anything in there than sit and use your amiibos. Wish they added some mini games to play with friends to the cafe, or at least in single player. (Remember the game consoles in Acnl? Something similar would've been cool for the cafe) :)

I love how they essentially brought back nearly every old feature from New Leaf and others back, but added more, and effectively included an entire game as paid DLC that's less than the MSRP for the original Happy Home Designer.

I love that they basically added something new for EVERYTHING, from new villagers to a LITERAL NEW DLC FOR THE GAME (yay more work and fun stuff to do)

This is so much more than I ever expected to get from the game and I genuinely think it will make New Horizons actually fun for me.
I felt like a gambling addict at a casino with $50k to spend, just hit after hit after hit. It just kept coming. I didn't know how to react.

i like how the dlc doesnt actually include any features that people would feel like they need in the base game, and that it is essentially a new game mode
to be honest, while i would have preferred the partitions to be base game, im not too upset because im hyped for the dlc XD
Unless I missed something, we can't change the sizes of rooms in our own house though, right? Seems like it's only for villagers in the DLC.
i disagree, exclusive furniture at the Paradise Planning marketplace + wall partitions and counters + custom lighting and sound gives a ton more freedom in design, which you'll miss out on if you don't buy the DLC

Remodeling villager homes on our main island is amazing - not just for adjusting certain villager homes, but also for upgrading the 'starting homes' your first two villagers end up with!

Same! It would be nice to have a folder inside one custom design slot that could hold multiple designs for a set of patterns. I know players would abuse this by putting everything in folders but hey- convenience!
The last two things I think would make the game, would be to give Timmy, tommy, Tom, Isabelle, and the able sisters apartments in their perspective buildings so that while the stores are closed, we could still visit them and it would make them seem much more real instead of workhorses. Be able to give them gifts, and become friended. The second thing would be that the villagers interacted more with furniture/objects like they did in pocket camp.. other than that Nintendo did amazing with this!!! Oh and I guess bulk crafting haha

I wish the NPC's could have days off too! Every location but the museum already has 2 npc's so one could work while the other was off. Celeste could cover for Blather's, and it wouldn't be much to add another npc to cover for Brewster. I would love to see the NPC's out and about on the island like our villagers. That along with giving them apartments in their buildings would take this game to an 11/10 for me.

I was only expecting mini games like Animal Crossing New Leaf so for me its a ok update. Im not a designer furniture player so for me and my friends playing some minigames instead of just visiting friends island was all we wanted.
They added a lot, but they didn’t add everything. No mention of moving the main plaza or improving neighbor dialogue

Kapp’n: on pier- he brings you to mystery islands
Harv’s Island: you’ll see it straight away: they will set up shops you can buy from with new shops like catrina will tell you your future and tortimer will tell you what is in your storage, Harriet who will give you different hairstyles.
Group stretching: at the plaza- stretch with your villagers
Ordinance- Isabelle will give you a list of ordinance e.g Early bird ordinance which wakes everyone up
Storage: you can upgrade your storage to 5,000
New nook mile rewards: nook mile ternal
Cooking: cooking diy recipes in diy app but buy recipes first at the nook mile ternal
Pro decorating license: buy the license with nook mile to hang things on the roof
New fences: park fence, block fence, corrugated iron fence, large lattice fence, log wall fence, bamboo fencing, log fence and frozen fence you can buy all these fences with nook miles
You can customise fences
Pro camera app
You can wear custom designs
New hairstyles
New reactions: buy with nook miles
Storage shed: put stuff in it
Abd: you can place the abd on your island
More k.k slider songs
Music boxes
Gyroids: dig up gyroids that make different sounds
New items at nooks cranny
Permanently place ladders: you can place ladders near a cliff and use them
You can walk through tight spaces
Villagers will invite you to their homes or they will come to your house.
The new DLC is quite literally the ENTIRETY of happy home designer and I’m so delighted I loved that game so much

Yeah I have to disagree with that statement. They didnt fix the villager dialogue trees/complexity they had in ACWW which for some people were kinda important because the interaction with villagers are now even more objectived then before.
I do am happy for all the other additions, but sadly, it won't get me back into ACNH without that feature in some way. Also kinda stunned to find out that u dont get the option to make dates with other villagers by visitng their house or vice versa like it was a standard in the games before.
I don't care if this is the last major update, It's literally everything we've wanted since the games launch

It's the last Major Update that will be FREE. Any other Major Updates after this will have to be Paid for.

Acnh was my first animal crossing game, seeing that it’s having a major update makes me so happy and wants me to play every single day.

@@imagery Yeah same. I had also done alot of grinding to get my dream villagers, after that, I worked on my island a little bit and it wasn't long before I was completely burnt out. xD
