    Just joining to be an Infantryman now and back when I wanted to be one back in my day was no different. We wanted to be Infantrymen. I wanted to be a Paratrooper and to be an Airborne Infantryman. The best and proudest branch in my opinion in the US Military. I trained hard and jumped out of airplanes. Rangers and SF guys are above us but I had pride of being a Paratrooper. Yes combat sucks but I know what I did was dangerous in the first place. The pride comes in when going on leave and meet your parents at the airport... You as a young Airborne in dress uniform. Maroon beret, shiny jump boots, sky blue infantry cord, Jump Wings, AIRBORNE tab over the AA or any Airborne unit and swag.. People look at you with awe, the chicks look at you and blush when you see them and smile. Your folks gleam with pride as they welcome you home for a brief moment. Those were my memories at the best thing of my life. I was an Infantryman and a Paratrooper once upon a time. Never be anything else. If you want Infantry now. Do it. Infantry is hard and will beat the shit out of you because it was meant to be. Do it one time in your life if it may cost you your life but you did it as a MAN! You decided it. Never back out. If you stay in the Army and want out of the Infantry, you can go to another MOS the first time around. Most of my good buddies are veterans from peace or combat and did it one time and veterans now. The Infantry will kick your ass with hardships and fucked up and scary times. The lessons are hard and to the point. It could leave you dead or fucked up for life. But the choice is yours. I ain't gonna lie. I did my time and remember everything. The funny shit will always be with me and the guys who I served with and gone into combat with dead or living. I will never trade anything to what I did... I was the guy who wanted to jump out of airplane in the first place.. I was one guy.. So you decide..

      i wanna be infantry after high school particular airborne but im scared of heights lol. do you know anyone who got over their fear in jump school cause your comment really inspired me. also how do combat jobs work like after AIT do you pick airborne or whatever other jobs are there. thanks

    • @DylanStuntMan
      @DylanStuntMan 4 года назад +1

      BOIS BÓI to answer your fear of heights question, you just jump. And then if you want to be airborne tell your recruiter you should be able to ask for a slot for airborne but they might not have it. I’m looking up everything I can, I’m hoping to enlist soon either army or Air Force.

    • @DemocT
      @DemocT 4 года назад +1

      Dylan stunt man if they don’t have it then they will eventually have it. If you tell him you won’t settle for anything else, he’ll get the point and let you know as soon as a slot is available.

    Thank you all for your services! We love and respect our awesome soldiers in Marion Nc!! I got the awesome opportunity to help a young Sergeant from FortBragg last Christmas when he broke down enroute to his family for leave. He is also 11b infantryman paratrooper! This was the most inspiring event to ever happen in my lifetime! He was so humble and thankful for all we done for him! Wouldn't take a million dollars for all the great conversations after meeting him and while he was deployed to Kuwait! God bless you all!!!

    My advise coming out of OSUT with previous Ankle injuries due to a gunshot. Make sure you actually learn to pack your rucks, and how to ruck properly. This shit is critical.
