When you realize Terra's darkness problem is literally the same as Riku's and everyone easily accepted Riku's while rejected Terra's
Riku had Sora, and neither of them had any pre-taught notions of Light and Darkness.
Terra on the other hand, was brought up with the belief that Darkness was inherently wrong and evil, with loved ones who held the same beliefs (since they were all taught by Eraqus, who is inherently bias).
So, in a way, it makes sense that Riku’s was accepted by his peers while Terra’s wasn’t.
It also didn’t help that Yen Sid basically told Terra to F off, then deciding to actually help Riku even slightly
Not the exact same. Part of Terra's darkness is no one was there to help and support him. Everyone rejected Terra for his darkness so his only friend in all of this was Xehanort who is only using him to take over his body

Actually, that depends on the teacher itself. Master Eraqus rejects the darkness at all while Master Xehanort is OK to channel it. Since there was a slight darkness in Terra, Master Eraqus did not choose him. If Master Xehanort was the one who was conducting the exam, he would have chosen Terra instead of Aqua as the master.

I just got the reference Hades made when he was shaken by his name. In Greek mythology, Gaea was the most ancient and evil goddess in all of existence. She made her children kill their father Ouranos. THE SKY. Terra is her Roman name. So Hades was obviously a little shaken when he heard his name

He is very naïve. Trusted a horned evil looking fairy, went along with basically the devil (hades), believed Captain Hook's bogus story about light in the treasure chest, attacked Peter Pan without question, freed a prisoner just because he said he was good, trusted obviously evil xehanort just because he said he was good...I could go on lol.
Who's fault was it that Terra was naive? As far as I know, he's never seen any of the outside worlds, just his sheltered own one. Who was his "father", that should have taught him that Xehanort had attacked him in the past, but chose not to? Eraqus invited Xehanort as if he was his friend, so there was no reason for Terra to distrust him. Why would you say Xehanort was obviously evil, just by looking at him? That's naive in it's own, just because someone looks evil, he therefore is evil? Eraqus suddenly did everything Xehanort wanted him to do, he was played, but should have known better. Terra was played, but couldn't have know better. If someone's to blame here, it's Eraqus for letting Terra go after something that devastating happened to Terra. He was voluranable, but still chose to let him go outside of his sheltered environment, instead of talking this through with him and giving Terra some time to recover, the worst possible timing. Then he decides to let Aqua spy on him, while she is his friend, who he should be able to trust. It's not her job to suddenly spy on her peer. That put Terra in the position of thinking he was distrusted by the ones he loved. And therefore couldn't even turn to Aqua anymore.
Okay...he still trusted literally all of the wrong people. :/ Of course I blame Eraqus too. I don't blame Aqua because she was just following orders and she was really doing it out of care for Terra. "He's not as weak as you think." "He'll be alright, he won't give into it."
Gamelover254 All of the wrong people? The only one he really trusted was Hook. He did that because he thought he had to protect the light. Something Eraqus rammed into him since he was young no doubt. He never trusted Maleficent, she put a sleep spell on him and made him believe he took Auroa's light. While in fact MX did that, which was all part of his master plan to manipulate Terra into thinking he had have given into the darkness. Which made him even more voluranable (because he felt guilty) and therefore he turned to MX because he was the only one who seemed to understand him. He never did anything bad in the Coliseum, entering the games isn't a bad thing. Hades said it would help him conquer the darkness, I can't blame him for wanting to try it. He ended up not giving into the darkness, as Hades said. And then even saved Zack. So what's the bad thing he did exactly? Then when Eraqus tried to kill Ven he tried to save Ven, isn't that something anyone would do for their friend? Eraqus then says that maybe he's the one to blame for the darkness in Terra's heart (or something along those lines). I think he realized that Terra was provoked and that he was the one at fault there. He didnt even have it in him to trust Ven to do the right thing. He immediatlely thought Ven needed to be destroyed. He never taught Terra how to deal with the darkness in his heart, just that darkness is bad and needs to be destroyed. But there's darkness in every heart, so it was never going to work. Then MX strikes Eraqus down, and Terra realizes he's been tricked.

A classmate took it from me without asking and as i was trying to get it back a teacher saw it and took from my classmate then proceeded to keep it for weekd until parent teacher night when my mom got it back. I wasn't attached to phone but his reason for keeping it was completely headass.

It really bothers me that in Radiant Garden when Aqua says she have seen what Terra has done she basicall bases her entire acusations on the testemony of Malificent, the WITCH that proclaims herself the mistress of all EVIL, that calls upon the powers of HELL. Really she bases all her mistrust towards Terra on the least trustworthy person in all of Kingdom Hearts. KH BBS should be renamed Kingdom Hearts: poor judgement of character

In my mind, it doesn't matter WHY someone does something good as long as they do it. I know I'm probably in the minority here and most people will treat someone doing something good for personal gain or whatever like they just murdered the entire universe, but I think that just doing good things is enough, regardless of why.

Charrii is right eraqus seems to fear the darkness and want it destroyed while xeanhort wants light to be destroyed so both of them seem to now that light and darkness should be a balance but choose to not do it.
The reason why the timeline is weird is because time flows differently during the worlds I believe.

8:16.... Holy shit I just realised something. Ive played through Birth by sleep twice, seen this video 3 times, watched two other people play it and I'm currently watching a third. But I just realised that Merlin has kept this book for over 10 years. The same book which I noticed that Sora replaces Christopher Robin on the cover.
Christopher Robin's world must have fallen to darkness before he ever opened the book. In the world of Kingdom Hearts 10 year old, or possibly younger, Christopher Robin is practically dead. which means 10 years later it must have been put back together when Sora beat the seeker of darkness.

You know, regarding the screwed up time line of when they visit worlds, I have a theory. Not all of the worlds showed up in this game, and it's not like they knew where to look next, so they would have to visit other worlds in between. the game just only shows you the ones that are plot - related. for all we know, Aqua could have spent all that wasted time searching Halloween Town.
But hey, then again, I have the IQ of a beetle, so...

I'm so glad that someone else noticed the parallels in storytelling between KH and Star Wars.
Funny thing is, even on my first playthrough of BbS way back during the month it released, I thought that the narrative got on Terra's case for things that weren't really his fault. Yet this video actually brought up even more instances of the game getting on Terra's case for nonsensical reasons that I didn't really think about. (Particularly regarding the darkness in Terra during the exam.)

I can actually explain the Heartless thing. Neoshadows are purebred Heartless, that naturally comes from the darkness in people's hearts. They've always existed. It was the Emblem Heartless that was introduces in KH1 (Artificially made Heartless that bear the insignia.) Read Ansem's Report in KH1. It explains everything about that.
Then wouldn't they have shown up during the story at some point? Purebreed Heartless have existed since the conclusion of the Keyblade War when darkness first appeared in the hearts of man, so logically wouldn't said darkness manifest naturally once in a while?

You know what, I found the ice-cream keyblade to be one of the best keyblades you could unlock midway through the game. Its the most ridiculous looking keyblade ever, but hell, I actually used it a lot because it was strong. Nothing funnier than playing the final bosses and winning with a delicious ice-cream blade!

Also, Kairi accidentally touching Aqua's keyblade is why she can wield one. Cause that makes sense. Where was the chant Terra said with Riku? And if just touching it is enough, dose that mean Jack Sparrow and Leon will also get keyblades?
Sora was never a Master. The passing of the power to wield a Keyblade can only happen with a Master.
But then that gives me a legit question. Since mickey is technically a keyblade master since he learned from the great yensid, why didnt mickey just bequeath the keyblade to sora? Or better yet, why didnt yensid bequeath it to sora? I mean, the only reason why sora can wield the keyblade is because of ventus' heart being inside him. that would mean that if 3 resolves ventus' life and wakes him up, he wouldnt be able to wield it. Boy did aqua screw up so bad.
+Gekkouga that honestly makes even less sense then cuz Terra technically wasn't a master. Xehanort called Terra a master just to convince him to do what he wanted him to do so he shouldn't have been able to perform the ceremony with Riku

You know remembering better this game i really liked Terra gameplay, (And as a character) but ventus was pretty badass looking when you got the 2th tier wind powerup, that he gets flying like a freaking super saiyan.
There was actually a translation issue with Goofy's line in Kingdom Hearts II about Pete being banished. In Japanese, he uses a generic word that can refer to royalty of either gender, kind of like "His/Her Majesty". The translators assumed he was referring to Mickey, and translated it as "His Majesty", then later we find out he actually meant Queen Minnie.

The timeline mostly counts on the timeflow of each world being different from eachother. But it still doesn't make sense how ven is virtually on world 3 by the time Aqua is at her first world

Also Birth by Sleep happens 10 years before the original Kingdom Hearts and all the people who meet Terra, Ventus, and Aqua all only meet them once. They just passed by each world and mostly everyone didn't get to know them for that long and Riku meet Terra when he was 5 it's a miracle he'd remember him at all. My point is who would remember someone you only meet once 10 years ago? Mickey was the only one who would because he was there when all the important stuff happened. But he thought that they where gone for good. We find out later that when Mickey went into the Realm of Darkness in KH1 he had meet Aqua but what happened between them and why she stayed in the Realm of Darkness after is still a mystery. That's what Birth by Sleep 0.2 covers.

Most of Terra's "problems" weren't his fault in the worlds anyways, he hadn't been outside his world probably before and he was just getting read of situation from first person he met, assuming they are normal citizens, almost like cop showing up and getting their side of story, wasn't his fault most were the villains of the worlds, only time he did good from get-go was Disney Town since he ran into Minnie first XD
With the question about timeline... I think the combat lvl doesn't coincide with story (ie story-wise Ven maybe went to Castle of Dreams first and then Enchanted Domain) plus I think the portals each characters enters had some... time displacement (ie few seconds between each leaving were actually minutes or hours when they arrive at worlds) Which would explain Aqua being so late to first set of worlds

Ya... Aqua had no reason to distrust Terra.. until they met up again she was defending him against Maleficient's word and stuff, so like.. the 180 was uncalled for, if anything if she heard about him in the later worlds (ie letting Stitch escape or helping Hook) then there could be a tiny bit of doubt
Saddest thing for Aqua was she didn't even get to interact with Master Eraqus before he passed.. she only comes back after shit hit the fan
