    Make sure to click “restart shader optimization” in the display tab after you have adjusted and changed your settings and restart your game. Let your shaders optimize before you join a lobby!

    This has solved every issue I've been having and now I'm running consistent 225-250 fps with a very rare slight frame drop. Seems with every new season this game just gets more and more unoptimized which is annoying. I can now finish up the last camo challenges without having an aneurysm in the process. Think this might be the first graphics video I've ever watched that actually did what it said it would. I've gone from an average of 176fps to 207fps on my 3070ti GPU & my AMD Ryzen 9 7900X. Also, for anyone not sure about the config bits like me, all I changed was the one Brandon said he defo recommends everything else I left. Worth noting, I am doing this on MW3 and WZ3 not MW2 and WZ2. But it still works.

    I have a 12 cores with 24 threads taking down to 6 cores with 12 threads. I'd say both matters. You want extra cores and threads for background tasks, but at the same time for gaming, you want good single thread performance. Due to most games not being multi-threaded. But, if your using a stream you need more threads for multi-tasks. Great job on your setup. Thx you.

      If an intel CPUs cores? Keep the cores as is. If it is AMD CPUs you can take that cores in half. You never want to go odd cores, like 5,7,9. One last thing If you have more then 16 cores in Intel CPUs? Keep it on under 16 cores. @@Caarloo15

    One thing I found for Windows 11: Device Security>Core Isolation>Memory Integrity ... I removed some incompatible drivers to enable this security feature and my frames in warzone dropped a LOT. Turned it back off and instantly back. Not sure what the default setting is, but for gaming this appears to hurt performance.

      I have experience with 5800X and 5600X and both scale positively past physical core count. 5800X ran best with 9 and 11 producing a consistent 5% more performance over 8 which was the second best option. The 5600X seemed to perform the best with 7 but 6 and 8 worked fine as well. Only a ~2-3% uplift with 7.
      It seems that these Ryzen's prefer odd numbers for some reason.

    • @brandonnine
      @brandonnine  Год назад

      Unfortunately, overclocking your CPU can only go so far (usually only 5-10%). From my experience, RAM speed/latency is way more important. Of course, both of those are only true for those that are cpu bound (which is most people in Warzone)

    Hope this helps to some people. *From past previous update at the end of S5, some people game became unplayable, I was in that predicament as well, from running everything in Ultra/High settings @ 2k getting avg 145~180fps+ in MP* The game became absolutely unplayable and even with all settings turned to low, was literally loosing fate cause I know it isn't my PC Specs, this what fixed my problem.
    - Go to Audio Settings > Turn Voice Chat Audio to "Party Only", went from unplayable 50~60fps and stutters, back to 160+fps. (Also limit your FPS in Graphics Settings for example if your rig can handle higher than 140+ fps, limit the frames to 100~110 to keep your GPU/CPU TIME stable so u don't get stutter or micro-lag from the timing jumping all over the place.)
    - I have a 4Core/8Thread CPU and this my worker render count settings. // Thread count for handling the job queue
    RendererWorkerCount:0.0 = "8" // -1 to 16
    // Set a target fraction of your PC's video memory to be used by the game
    VideoMemoryScale:0.0 = "1.000000" // 0.000000 to 2.000000
    I also erased the "Call of Duty" File from Documents and let the game remake the file and install shaders again from scratch.
    **Another important thing, make sure your game is installed in your SSD or NvME, this will fix a lot of stutter/lag as well.**
    - Please let me know if this worked for you.

I am now reverting everything back to the way it was now. i think ill live running at 80fps.

      @sinsawoogamez5859 All good! I was just gonna mention that these settings make your GPU work quite a bit harder by producing more frames, so if your GPU overclock is on the edge of stability (specifically too much memory overclock), that’s when you’ll get those rainbow colors and artifacting. Glad you were able to tweak some stuff to get it to work for you!

    Do you ever use gsync or keep it disabled?

    • @brandonnine
      @brandonnine  Год назад

      I personally use gsync, but most people prefer fixed refresh rate. If you want to run gsync, in nvidia control panel, change monitor technology to gsync, low latency mode to ultra, max frame rate to 3 fps under max refresh rate (162fps for 165hz, 141fps for 144hz, etc) and turn vsync on. @scott3362

      @scottt3362 yeah, so you can use those settings I listed above (237fps for the max frame rate for your case). Blurbusters did a great article on the best settings on their website. If you Google “Gsync 101” it should pop up if you want more information on why those are the best settings.

      Unfortunately everyone’s audio setup is completely different and everyone’s ears are different so it’s hard to give recommendations for audio. I personally run “home theater” as the in-game audio mix and sound equalization in windows settings turned on.

      I haven’t tested that CPU myself, so I can’t be 100% sure, but from my experience, a number closer to your performance core number tends to provide more fps. In your case, that would be “8”. I’d try “8” and “10” and see which works best for you. Hope that helps! @pr1ncem1

I only did the changes to the cod22 file. And now I cannot search a game it says connect to internet even though im inside the game using net... Do you have any solutions? Should i change both files as same?

    • @brandonnine
      @brandonnine  Год назад

      That’s interesting! I’ve never seen someone have both unless you have it downloaded on both Steam and Battlenet. The config file shouldn’t cause any connection issues at all (at least I wouldn’t think since it’s just the text file the graphics settings use). It shouldn’t hurt anything to change both, but if you’re still having an issue try deleting both files and restarting the game. That will reset all your graphics settings back to default and then you should be able to redo the optimized settings on a freshly installed config file. Hope that helps!

    I have a 49" superwide, what aspect ratio do you think would work best or will the impact be minimal? I get 122 fps average with your settings on an rtx 3080 and an amd ryzen 5900 x and 64gb of ram. Feels like 122 fps is a bit low and have tried everything to boost it.

    • @brandonnine
      @brandonnine  Год назад +1

      I’m not super familiar with superwides but I’d imagine it’s just gonna depend on what resolution you’re playing at. Aspect ratio is just how the image is gonna be displayed/stretched on the screen. So if you only want 2560x1440 you’d want to change the aspect ratio to 16:9 and your render resolution to that. At native resolution though, 122 is probably pretty standard if I had to guess.
