I don't understand why he didn't have a recording contract with a beautiful voice like that. Runs rings around anyone going on The Voice, including some of the judges!
This performance on The Big Gig is the sole reason I bought the new DVD the DAAS have released. I highly recommend getting it, even though there's some episodes left off it. Now if only they'd put out 'Live In New York' on DVD too
I remember watching this as a teenager back in the day. (my guess is 1989/90 or so?) Damn I forgot just how amazing the harmonies these guys have were!
superkat, alas woe is me. yeah thought that, but living in the cultural desert of wa, one is can never be certain. the cultural cringe is alive and well, after all the flourishes of the 70s, 80s, 90s, there is little has changed since the 50s...
I don't think I'll ever get over how beautiful this song is, Paul's voice is just amazing.
Fuck yes
How good is his voice??

Their anthemic performances are my favourites, being serious is a relief from the humour, a breather for the listener.

This video inspires at least ten emotions in me at once. These guys are just amazing.

Wonderful 💕
I didn't realise that DAAS performed in the US, and really I can't imagine that the Americans could understand their humour, politics or 'accents'.
Yeah, Canadians and Brits understand irony, l like the idea of Live from Carnegie Hall, all the way from Camberwell Bowls Club.
