I was diagnosed with MS just 2 days ago. As a diehard DAAS fan (I’m 53). This has given me a new joy. Thank you for the giggle I now have in my step. 😂❤️
Saw them in 1992 in Dublin and not only were they amazing, they proceeded to empty the theater and take everyone in the audience to the pub across the street right in the middle of the show, continuing their set in the pub. That was a first! Did pretty good business for the pub, too!
The poster I saw for them in London in 1989 quotes the Sydney Sun-Herald: 'About as gentle as an English football mob.' When I quoted this to Tim on Twitter many years later, Tim replied: 'True. Both groups are, at heart, gentle. 🤤'
How have I only just found these,my loss ! Outstanding and the 'Lead Singer has quite a voice. Brendan Behan has been my Hero for as long as I can remember, and I'm sure would have loved every aspect of this!
My heart surrenders to the rhythm and melody that you fine fellows concoct... Devilishly beautiful. I fell In love with the D. A. A. S. It was the time of my Aussie generation. Now I'm disabled I feel that it's so much more of me my background and my future. I love our humour so much more it's freaking brilliant! Time has been cruel to all of us 😂
Brilliant chaps! Brilliant! Takin' the piss right to the end xx oo My dad's a 'crip' and he always plays it up in public to make us laugh whilst trying to get 'special treatment'...we call it 'The Crip Advantage'..and it works EVERY time! We get so much good shit! Love ya dad xx oo
Buzz Lightyear well the Middle Ages slash dark ages was more enlightened than what was previously thought. I really liked the enlightenment in the 12th century in the English bit of the uk. Do you think he’s wearing lifts in his shoes?
love seeing u guys again. honestly I can bloody relate to the tilt, paws and shoulder biting. I tell my son all the time when we are out and in difficultly to do the same. basically play it up lol. nice to see a some comedy I can relate to lol. great work guys. !btw tim still gorgeous! 😁 love yas all. ffs.
My dad was put in a wheelchair about 15 years ago from a work-related injury. He, pretty much, only has the use of his arms and the rest of him is paralized, but he plays up to it in public and puts on the 'fake'...what we call 'criptaculous'. That is, when we're in public he will just put on the 'crip' act, and you would be amazed at how easily crowds disperse and doors open...LOL! It's all in good fun though. My dad is a good man who would never REALLY take advantage, but it's freakin' funny when he decides to do the full 'criptaculous'...it has us in stitches, and usually ends up with us getting what we need for him...and just sometimes.. a little bit more 😆😉.
Areyousaying idontknowmyname This is my story, and I am starting. Now. The Blayney Chinese is very average and the the girl at the front of the hang sing restaurant desk has no sense of humour. I did try to make her smile in 2006 but it wasn’t successful. My male friend had a better chance maybe because he was 6 foot two and physically imposing in a way most gels find dashing. But I did appreciate the thick white linen tablecloths, hides all the stains. Anyway, Blayney sucks hard but they do have a knitting machine hobbyist group but they won’t let me in. I don’t know why. I have at least two early singer machines but those tapuesque antediluvian crenelated sponge bar philiacs won’t answer my phone calls. Maybe cos my words have too many syllables or they live at least an hour away from me. Tim has always been the prettiest. He has a winning smile.
Areyousaying idontknowmyname yeah I know. When I realised he came from up there (blayney) I just had to do a sandman (broken hill) parody cos I still love him and flacco. But that chick at the Chinese restaurant was incredibly deadpanned and bored AF. Very average honey chicken and Mongolian beef. Lol. I am in the central west (not originally but I’ve loved daas since xxxxxxxxAD and I’ve even got that screen play book they did about the seven sins ... had it for... ooh ages. But I haven’t really followed them for a while and I was tickled Richard was on radio and paul was on the box. Blayney is pretty much... blayney. No wonder he rocketed out of there. It’s not a bad place but it’s very ummmm regulated. That’s just from my experience but anyway
@@jenniferschmitzer299 I first came across them via the big gig. That I know of. They have always held a fun part of my heart. Paul especially. I once dragged a hug out of him😏. Was a special moment for me and probably a awkward one for him. 😆
I've only ever heard Liam Clancy (Clancy Brothers) sing the Behan song before and we had the Auld Triangle on a Dubliners album from years ago as well. I'm torn between indignation at the irreverence and joy at the reverence of this performance.
Janet McLeod yes, I was a little petulant with my post. Flacco is fantastic I in his own right, but I guess I am /was so used to Tim that it's a shame he couldn't be in the latest iteration
God help us! The level of humour is at best a tad higher than can be enjoyed by the mentally challenged. Come on! Start watching a few episodes of Billy Connolly or George Costanza to get improve sense of humour.
I am guessing your knowledge of DAAS is limited if not non existent, these were the quintessential anarchistic misanthropic comic band. If you can’t see what others see then I feel sorry for you, as for billy Connolly it’s a different style of comedy as for George Constanza he is a character on a tv show and more pathetic than funny at any rate.

love it - where were they playing and where did they go? not wealands?
Yeah. I can see them doing that.

Paul must be happy he's finally the tallest!
Happy Camper hahaha finally!!
I thought he was sounding much taller than he really is...😉
Buzz Lightyear well the Middle Ages slash dark ages was more enlightened than what was previously thought. I really liked the enlightenment in the 12th century in the English bit of the uk.
Do you think he’s wearing lifts in his shoes?
he realloest is still not the prettiest. xx
I snorted 4 times! These guys are just as funny as they were 20 years ago. Hilarious. I love them.
so good...brutally funny, I love it... and still so good
Bravo ! A sense of humour in the face of adversity. Love Flacco in the team. Seriously, who else? Flacco first, daylight 2nd.

@@jenniferschmitzer299 Well that came out of left field. Also the Turtledove was because they used to call him Timothy turtledove.

Brendan Behan once said he was "a drinker with a writing problem".

Richard works on ABC radio.
No Richard -> No DASS :-(
Yes, but what is happening now is still tasteless, offensive and glorious.
Janet McLeod yes, I was a little petulant with my post. Flacco is fantastic I in his own right, but I guess I am /was so used to Tim that it's a shame he couldn't be in the latest iteration
Eddie J yes but no. Saw them in their original guise and again with Flaco, was not quite the same, but still bloody funny and relevant.
Andy BroncoAus too true.
Doug Anthony Sall Stars? Richard is busy working in radio, It'll be good to see him back with DAAS soon though
God help us! The level of humour is at best a tad higher than can be enjoyed by the mentally challenged. Come on! Start watching a few episodes of Billy Connolly or George Costanza to get improve sense of humour.

insomniac465 and besides, billy ascribes to the same vibe as my favourite shitsu tonka museum guardians do. Sure. He talks a lot. So does Richard.
