Al, great review. I really appreciate the time stamps👍
👍🏼 it better have timestamps if it’s over an hour long
Looks good. I like the number of DC ports. This might be my next unit. Thank you!
I'm glad the video was helpful thank you
hey al, this looks like an interesting product i might get this even the pure sinewave isnt perfect i might actually use this for my desktop computer, i have an ecoflow river 2 pro, and that still works after 5 months.
Al, as usual very detailed video. I love the battery capacity of this unit and the price point. It has what I consider uses for certain niches when camping like strictly using it to power up a 12V fridge for a couple of days without charging or a cpap. I don't really enjoy large inverters on a small capacity battery as it renders the battery less efficient, but I enjoy a unit that has better solar input, which I find limited on the Dabbson. I normally get about 40 hrs of use on my Jackery 500 when hooked up to my 12V fridge and this could definitely expand that time.
Thanks Shelley!
A thorough review as always! There is something a little strange with the nail puncture tests as the nail didn't seem to cause a short circuit in their cell as it obviously did with the other two cells. Just a note on number of cycles. MIT, which patented the LFP battery chemistry demonstrated 10000+ cycles are possible. If you operate the battery between 80% and 20% of capacity, you can easily expect a minimum of double the number of cycles that the manufacturer states. Its also a little disappointing that virtually all of the other manufacturers have an 1800 watt inverter in this class of power station and Dabbsson chose to include a 1200 watt inverter instead. Thanks for reviewing!
John thanks for your thoughts and by the way they do make more models. This is the one I chose to review.
I’d be quite happy with these specs for my small travel trailer needs. Heck, I could even charge up my trailer electrical system and have power to spare.
watts - how much power at any instant (abbreviated "w")
watt-hours - how much power for how long (abbreviated "wh")
multiply how many watts by how many hours to get watt-hours. In other words, 10 watts for 1 hour is 10 watt-hours. 5 watts for 2 hours is also 10 watt-hours. 10 watts for 24 hours is 240 watt-hours. A 1500 watt space heater for 8 hours is 12,000 watt-hours or 12 kilowatt-hours.
kilowatt (kw) is 1000 watts, so kilowatt-hours (kwh) is 1000 watt-hours. Simply divide watts by 1000 to get kilowatts, or multiple kilowatts by 1000 to get watts, and the same math applies to watt-hours and kilowatt-hours.
Sylvan You educating my viewers? 👍🏼
That seems like a nice power station. For me it isn't quite big enough. For use at home I recommend at least 1600w to 1800w in order to run anything you would plug into a normal outlet.
I gave a Jackery 1500 that can do 1800w to my father. It uses a lithium NCM battery. A year or so later the Delta 2 Max came out and I bought one. It is a much better unit. It can do 2400w and has a bigger battery (and LiFePO4) than the Jackery but weighs only a few pounds more - still under my "easy enough to manage" 50lb target.
Go parallel with it and get 2000w.
The expansion battery needs the ability to charge directly from solar and it would help to have some USB ports too.
I agree a lot of manufacturers don’t think about that
looks interresting to say the least.
I agree. Do you have any PowerStations today?
Great review! I learned much more that I've learned watching other videos. I am confused regarding why the powerstation didn't power the Microwave. It looks like your microwave is an 1100w machine. If the powerstation is capable of 1200w, why didn't it work?
John, thank you so much. I appreciate your comment and I’m glad the information helps. I wish I had the answer for you. I think you’d almost have to be an electrician really understand but I’ll be honest with you that has worked with other PowerStations I believe it’s the type of inverter, but again I’m not an electrician. I’m kind of an average Joe that has learned a lot overtime but I’m humble enough to say I don’t know.
Great review and cool unit. Ill stick with anker though.
Hi Marcus Which Anker do you have ?
Powerhouse 200 , and solix. Few smaller ones for phone charging also. The 737 is really a cool phone and laptop unit!
@marcusmobley5411 very nice bro
What is the voltage at the battery expansion port when 100% charged?
When charging mine, it rises to 28v, then very briefly hit 29v then drops back to 26.45v when 100% charged, which seems a little low for a 25.6v 52ah battery.
Thanks
@dabbsson_official1209
You know the answer to this ?
Wait so how do you charge the extra battery? It has to be connected to the inverter station? I didnt see any charge port on the extended battery. That kind of sucks because now have to carry two stations with me just to charge the extension.
Yes the power station charges the extra battery.
Question , 400w input each? This seems to take all the value away? What is 400w - nobody maxes out solar input like Hobotexh? Can I put 4 -100w rigid solar panels in siersie , I dought this ? Really I watched all the video availabile , not one explained anything important? , if you could max input to each unit at 400w and have them in paréale this might be a winner ? But they say they only give one cable in the Combo? , really frustrating !! It’s like I need to buy just to be a tester? Will the thing turn off then not turn on ,?like if it was running cameras? I could run 100 question!!
How many EcoFlow 100w rigid panels do I need ? To get 400w input, and much do I need to over panel? I am thinking you need 6 - 600w of panel? And how would you need to wire 6 100w panels?
I have two of these on order, the features I'm most curious about haven't really been demonstrated.
I see a Time Management option, can you set it to run off battery at certain times? I'm thinking for example in a TOU rate situation and load shifting.
Second is can you set the charge to only charge to 80% in the Charge/Discharge Settings?
I didn’t see any of those functions
Hi, you can set the AC to turn on/off at certain times, or the unit turn off at certain times which I think can be useful for a TOU rate situation.
@@dabbsson_official1209 Awesome! My units should be getting delivered tomorrow and I'm really excited to test the TOU/Demand pricing use case. Thank you for engaging with your customers!!!
@@LanceTechLair Anytime! Hope our units will serve you well.👍
@@dabbsson_official1209 Just wanted to update. I got the units and will likely order several more. The AC timer is awesome for either Demand pricing or TOU rates. So I get a UPS for critical appliances as well as load shifting capabilities. Pretty awesome!
Could you say something about efficiency? How big are the losses when using a 12V output (car output, e.g. when using a mobile refrigerator) or losses when using AC out (small consumers under 100W, medium 200-500, and above)
Hi, when using the 12V car output, the losses is around 6W and when using AC under 100W the loss is around 25W and medium 200-500 is around 20W.
@@dabbsson_official1209 thanks for the response, but is that right? DC power loss usually is lower than AC so that’s quite interesting.
@@tanvach We are really sorry, you are correct, when the car output is on it should have 5-6W loss.
I left this in storage at 95% for about two months. I took it out and when I tried to turn it on it wouldn't turn on! I plugged in the AC charging cable and it turned on. I hope this isn't a regular thing. I might not have access to 120VAC when I need to turn it on.
Hi John I’ve seen that with other power stations also. See if there is a firmware update via the app, also check the manual for storage guidelines. 95% is too high for LFP, let me know how it goes if you can
Does anyone know what error code E0d could mean? I encountered this problem for the first time today. The station turns on, but there is no voltage on the ports, even the flashlight did not turn on. However, when the light came on and I plugged the station in, the error disappeared and everything worked. I then unplugged it, turned it off, turned it back on and everything works. But what does this error mean, why did it happen and how to deal with it?

I tried to install app and failed.
Ok !! EcoFlow delta 2 or dbs 1300 ?
Really your choice
Lol, safest Lifepo4 indeed. There's no difference between this battery and other Lifepo4 batteries out there. The only difference will be the price. You aren't getting added value from this thing. Looking at the test and how it was done tells you all you need to know.
I guess time will tell.
Can someone explain the real world applicability of a nail penetration test of power bank batteries? Seems pretty unlikely to ever happen and therefore of no real value. Power banks are expensive and we therefore don’t abuse them or subject them to serious damage. Just silly marketing nonsense.
Dropping power stations usually doesn’t do much, normally issues occur when a battery is penetrated kind of like a Electric vehicle, if you were to penetrate the battery underneath the vehicle that could actually cause a fire. So that’s why they did that type of test so at least they could show you the same test with a few types of lithium batteries.
It is silly marketing nonsense, but accidents happen. People know you shouldn't shove rebar thru your body, or nailgun thru your hand, but accidents happen.
