- Having trouble with the leveling of your RV and tow vehicle?
This clip demonstrates the features and benefits of the Eaz Lift Load Distribution Hitch which will bring the front of your RV and the rear of your tow vehicle into line with each other! Available at www.rvpartsexpress.com.au/
My dad bought his first Eaz-Lift hitch from the plant out in San Fernando, CA in 1958. Best hitch ever devised.
You made a very helpful video I was on Facebook just found a used one within my budget
Anyone notice that this company is showing you the proper way to use their system, but they are running the breakaway cable through the safety chain which is not only illegal, but DANGEROUS?
Can I back up at sharp angle turn at sharp angles?
Für was soll das sein, ich versteh nicht was hier besser sein soll. Ich habe eine gewiese Stützlast und die darf ich nicht übersteigen und wenn ich mein Hänger vernünftig belade hängt auch nichts durch
I have hydraulic lifts holding up my RV when should I remove them?
..gotta make sure I have a $200 pair of shoes on when I install this..
Oh yeah these will not stay up do not recommend this product to anyone
😂
Still way too high in the front . Be scary on a wet road
The people complaining should learn how to set it up properly. Towing a 4000# toy hauler with a Tacoma no problem.
The most common problem I think people have is that they don't crank the hitch back up to level BEFORE they attach the spring bars into the cavities. And getting the bars locked requires you to keep the springed pins lubricated with WD40 or such. That way they can retract and spring out into the slot on the bars.
I actually watched this trying to get an answer to why the ball on the EazLift isn't perpendicular to the hitch?? Just curious as to why they have to be tilted a couple degrees aft.
Tilting the hitch head back lowers the chain end of the spring bars. The result is you create more lift when the chains are attached. The degree of angle depends on the amount if distrbution required. There are plenty of formulas d3pending on your setup.
@@IH-nr7dx I actually had a long discussion with the EZ Lift tech guy. Great to work with. And yeh, he said the same thing in a more engineering way. I learned a lot.
hmmm I have one and it doesn 't work like this. I simply cannot hook it up. link 6 will not reach the hook. I can do link 7 and it will flap in the breeze. I have to do link 6 for it to be tight. and removing the bars? nope they don't just come out. I have to move them sideways, shake myself silly. The most difficult thing I've never been able to accomplish. I'd pay 5 figs for one that worked where I could actually use my new trailer. Til then.... my new purchase shall sit.
Serious bro. Reply to me I’ll help you with this. U must be missing the part of the video where u raise your vehicle up with the trailer. It makes like a reverse bowing effect that makes it easier to attach chain. Also it doesn’t have to be notch 6 on chain. It’s whatever is tight on your vehicle. Where do you live haha I’ll come hook it up for you. Gee whizzzzz!
Watch the video again, skip to 2.47, and you will see him pull on the release tab' and the arm' come's out easily, same with the other side
Sway bars? This is ancient technology!
I don't think this is the way to solve badly loaded caravan and badly matched vehicle.
DEL BOY, AMIRTE
how about just moving some weight back in the caravan?
VERY bad idea. Putting more weight in the rear of the trailer can create dangerous sway problems. Weight should be heavier in the front of the trailer.
the worst distribution hitch I've used.Pain in the ass.
Looking at picking one of these up, what was so difficult with this one if you don't mind my asking?
I tow a 5,000lbs travel trailer with mine I have no issues really makes a big difference
Works well when setup correctly. Time needs to be taken to setup correctly or you will have issues, as you would with any others.
Chris Dixon i have this and it is not easy, the groove to help grab the chain when you tighten slips to easily off when you raise the bar. It looks easy here, but the dealer who trained me told me to put it on the furthest link it will reach. The chain has launched off on me with great force several times and almost taken my shin out. Second bit that is difficult is latching the bars into the hitch. I have to get on the ground on my knees directly at the install point and it takes several tries to seat and unseat the bars. Maybe i was not trained correctly, but i dread using this device.
i've got one on a 5,000 lb 2 axle travel trailer and it works great. if you know what you're doing it's not hard to setup and use at all. you just gotta take your time and figure it out on the first couple runs.
