I wish Tim and geoff follin worked on a lot more games music. They are amazing. pushing the limits with their music. making use of only like 4 sound channels lots of respect for them
@@supmattboy his music is not to go underappreciated either. Although he worked on what most would consider better games, i still feel he's relatively unknown! loved his work on asterix (nes) and the light corridor. Him and the follin bros are both european composers so big ups to europe. Huge place for the chiptune scene
The game's Title Theme gives me a warm feeling. BGM 2 is my favourite, Unused 2 is like a dark version of Mario's Starman theme and Unused 3 wouldn't sound out of place in a Donkey Kong Country game.
Also, the puzzle/boss theme strangely sounds like it wouldn't be out of place, in one of those old rubberhoze cartoons, honestly. Especially around 06:07.
Xaivo sonic hero [escalator totodile]. Did you fall into this video and comment from watching the AVGN video? Just curious since you just posted this, and also the reason I’m here too lol
There's one thing about this game's music... I don't remember that any other NES game would've taken any advantage whatsoever of the arpeggio function in creating a "string layer" in the background. Not even Nintendo themselves - and it was their own goddamned console! OH WAIT! Tom and Jerry! At least.
The third song is actually used the the Game boy version of the game, it's the car minigame theme, only reason I know is I have the damn layout of it memorized...god I loved and hated that game at the same time!
The Professionals ('70s UK TV Show) called to say they want their theme tune back from BGM I. Seriously though, I don't suppose any Americans had ever heard of The Professionals, so Follin got away with it easy. He made amazing music but he wasn't averse to a bit obvious *inspiration* from other music sometimes :D
Ayup. I loves me some good Follin music, and I had no idea they did this one. Funny thing is, I've come to this channel a lot of times for other games but this is probably the first time AVGN has sent me here.
I didn't even need to see a credit to know this was composed by Tim Follin. It just oozes his style.
It was actually composed by his brother Geoff Follin.
@@Austin532 Either way, it has that distinct Follin style all over it.
Hell yeah, man. Love his Silver Surfer and Ghouls N Ghosts scores.
this was made by geoff, not tim
The follinator, know him well, definitely his trademark style.... (pssst who the flaming fuck are they talking about?)
The title theme is the most upbeat song in existence, I swear.
Wow an LJN game, with good music?!?! MIND BLOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup. The Follin Brothers are awesome.
Unbelievable
Software Creations developed, LJN was only a publisher
Alien 3.
laughin jokin numbnuts
Rest in peace Geoff Follin
I wish Tim and geoff follin worked on a lot more games music. They are amazing. pushing the limits with their music. making use of only like 4 sound channels lots of respect for them
I keep finding myself coming back here. this music just makes me feel happy.
nice pfp
I wish they had worked on better games.

Thanks avgn for bringing me here
Hear some Plok in Unused 2. Tim Follin borrowing from himself :D 8:03
Actually it's Geoff borrowing from his brother :)
AVGN brought me here. Really awesome soundtrack, definitely missed this from my childhood (loved the toys though)
0:01: Title Theme
1:52: Stage Theme 01
3:16: Stage Theme 02
5:27: Boss Battle
7:46: Game Over
7:54: Life Lost
8:03: Stage Clear
9:46: Ending

Hey programmer, we some music created for this game.
Tim Follin: *godmode on*
It wasn't Tim
It was his brother Geoff follin

@@gilpiper3564 nah I just found this by accident.
5:27 sounds like a clown having a seizure
Or when Rocket goes Presto
Nah. Sounds like something out of one of those old rubberhose cartoons, to me. Especially 06:07.
What a nice sound track. All the unused song are used on the Gameboy version btw.
I realized this game has the same soundtrack as the gameboy version even though the game is very different
R.I.P. Geoff Follin
RIP Geoff Follin
3:16 , the sewers..
Really underrated game. I like it. Very nice music for the nes.
too easy to beat in my opinion if I can beat it as im not that good, the soundtrack is better than the game itself.
The soundtrack is good. the game is garbage.

OH WAIT! Tom and Jerry! At least.
The Follin brothers were magicians when it came to making the NES sound chip do things no one else thought to do.
One day I'll remember that name, because their style is very distinct.
i mean most european composers did this. Probably because of old home computers
Probably. I fiddled a lot with tracker music and linited resources. :)
Can you tell where exactly in the video they used arp strings? I'm struggling to find it
Un gran maestro del chiptune Geoff
bgm2 was my fave, as a kid I would just stop playing the game to listen to the tune
Haha same here!
Brutal. Q recuerdos me acaban de venir de golpee
The title song is fire i remember it from like 4 or 5 years ago even never played the game
I wish the SNES version got more love, the intro music for that game was pretty damn good.
i wish unused 1 had its own song it sounds fuckin amazing
the whole ost makes me feel euphoric
Try .5x playback speed once....
The third song is actually used the the Game boy version of the game, it's the car minigame theme, only reason I know is I have the damn layout of it memorized...god I loved and hated that game at the same time!
Unused 1 was used in the gameboy version when you fail a level
@@crossbraun Yup. And Unused Theme 2 is the High Score name entry music that was in the GB and SMS versions.
Ironically, it sounds more like a game over theme, than the actual game over theme.

Reminds me of the time me and my bro missed a day out coz we were too busy playing this game
first like, first commentary and provably first favorite
how the fuck did ljn get these guys multiple times?
proof that geoff follin is just as good as tim
Unused? You mean they had music on the cartridge that was never actually heard in the game?
Any one here because of the most recent Angry Video Game Nerd episode?

Dargonhuman I’m in the exact same boat!
I
Who isn't?
I wish 9:46 was used. Fuck NES limitations
This is in the Gameboy version for the driving level!
That explains why it sounds so much like "Highway Star"!
+EYTPS i know were that profile pic is from
Here from AVGNs latest video
A, a fellow connoisseur of culture and taste I see.
The gameplay was horrendous because the LJN cartridge couldn't handle the exhilarating OST
sounds like commodore 64
WAYYYYYY better than the Genesis version's god awful music that just reeks of horribleness.
"The incredible" crash dummies ??????
"The incredible digital circus"😳😳😳😳
Stop using Tik Tok
The title looks so disgusting with pixel upscaling
it's like they tried to smooth it out but it just looks so wobbly
