woahh I never knew of this character- I’m indigenous myself (Cherokee and Ojibwe) and I love seeing native representation!! 🥹💓 I’m definitely gonna read her stories
They bring to mind Renet and Savanti Romero, in a way. I think I read the first Radical story in a collection a while back It might've been neat to see them in a cartoon
Leo and Radical is like Archie and Betty, in the sense that you want them together, but you know that Karai (Veronica) would be the right choice. I'm kinda disappointed that there weren't more stories with Complete Carnage and Radical or at the very least Radical herself. They both seem like interesting characters and the short story in issue three of TMNT volume one was a lot of fun. Honestly, the reactions alone of Casey and Raphael were priceless. Maybe one day we'll see them in animated media.
I'm with you on that note. Even IDW she's a bit older then the Turtles (also super aggressive). It's mostly their personalities that I feel would mix best. Like my Archie reference I don't like Archie and Veronica as a pair. Betty would help him become a better person, but Veronica's personality fits Archie to the letter. Radical would be harmonious for Leo, but Karai is where his heart is, to me.
I remembered I own her first, er second and third appearances in mirage. I kinda enjoy the concepts for Radical and Complete Carnage. I haven’t seen all of 2003 but I’m shocked they never made the leap, is it possible Peter Laird wanted to keep them somewhat separate from Tmnt? Like at a distance. I would imagine at least Viacom owns them now.
My guess if Radical returns for Tales of the TMNT (the new animated show): She will be voiced by a Native American voice actress. And since she’s Algonquian, her nemesis Complete Carnage will be reimagined as a wendigo.
And since she’s a superhero, Donatello and Wingnut will geek out on her, only to be told that being a real superhero is NOT an easy job and she also works at a natural history museum working on Native American heritage. And one of the artifacts she is examining is an artwork depicting the legend of the wendigo.
I wonder why they didn’t put this in the 2003 series because Complete Carnage looks cool because he looks like Romano if you think they were related to each other Can we talk about Professor Honeycutt and the Tricieraton empire because were they created before the turtles or after? Do Darius Dunn all versions
Laird said that the characters weren't on his mind, so that was why he didn't include them in the 2003 series (he wasn't a fan of Radical). I will do Fugitoid, Triceratons and Darius Dunn videos.
I don't know. But the narrator is American, so I trust him on his interpretation 🙂 (I did a quick google search at the time, and the pronunciation seemed correct).
Honestly, I didn't care for the character of Radical _or_ Complete Carnage. The whole run of this just didn't "feel" like _TMNT_ to me; it felt like The Turtles were merely guest starring as background characters. And the main story itself was _all over the place._ And that's not even taking into account the contrived, out of left field "love story." I actually really enjoy _well written_ romances with The Turtles, but THIS was just dump truck levels of bad. And the whole Leo/Radical "relationship" felt unearned and rushed. Her "deletion" felt like a calculated plot device.... and not even a very _good_ one, either, because I felt *nothing* when her character was "ended". Leo deserves SO much more than such a cheap, badly written run with a generic story and badly written fanfiction level characters.
Thanks for watching! What are your thoughts on Radical's last story?
I can’t believe she was only in Mirage, she would have been cool
What's weird radical and complete carnage in the 2003 show was changed to silver sentry and Dr malignus

Thank you for this breakdown!
I hope that Radical will appear again someday in future turtle media.

The thing with pairing Leo with Karai, is that in this version, Karai is way much older than him.
I'm with you on that note.

Thanks for the radical video request

this was great. I got Dooney to sign my 13. this is my favorite channel
The most informative Ninja Turtle channel out.
I'm still bummed that Radical never appeared in the 2007 or 2012 series
I did like the Leo Radical series (she's less toxic than Karai)
You mean 2003 show the 2007 was the imagi tmnt movie which has nothing to do with any turtles continuity and is a self contained universe
I think she was a good match for Leonardo

Cause silver sentry and Dr malignus is radical and complete carnage

@@TheTurtleNexus thanks for the explanation
I think she was a far better match for Leo than Karai
Complete carnage remind me of toxzon
I would have also see him the ultimate Green goblin and Hobgoblin but he reminds me of that villain the turtles always come across with Renet.
Isn't it Shaw-men not Shay-men?

Same. Kinda hated it.
