I kind of thought that was where they were going with the question of whether or not the professors mine was transferred into the android, or if he just copied it, his memories into its core consciousness. It has an essential crisis to the character. The 80 W version may go through similar process himself.? But ultimately, I don't think it matters whether or not he's a copy or the original. He is still Professor Honeycutt through his actions and his decisions. That's what defines all of us.
Thanks for such an informative video! I’m a huge Zayton Honeycutt fan, yet I’ve never heard about Mirage issues about his childhood and identity crisis (by the way can you tell me which one those are? I’d really like to read them!). Though, I always thought that all Fugitoid iterations are, indeed, a copy of Zayton (well except for 2012 Fugitoid because that one is an actual cyborg with a physical brain inside him). However - I agree with the point that it doesn’t really matter if he’s a copy or not. After all, the core traits of any person are memories, personality, the soul if you can call it that way - and Honeycutt still has all of them. His BODY was destroyed, yet his SOUL wasn’t - and that’s what most important for me
I wonder why the Fugitoid never appeared in the 1987 TMNT series because he could have been fun especially since he looks like C3po and that he would have come from Dimension X
@@TheTurtleNexus A TMNT character voiced by Patrick Stewart?! How awesome is that? Next to Casey Jones being voiced by Captain America, and Splinter voiced by Aku. Also, it’s quite ironic that Raphael was voiced by the same person who would go on to voice the Kraang/Utrom in the 2012 show.

The Ninja Turtles were created while they were working on the Fugitoid stories. TMNT and its huge success made them stop working on Fugitoid for a while, so they decided to complete the story around the time they were doing issue #4. Fugitoid's stories came out in small chapters in a self-published "comic" because no one would publish it. So, when they finally did the crossover, and with Mirage being a publisher now, they re-release the first four chapters and added the rest in what we now know as the "Fugitoid: Micro-series". The timeline may be a bit more clear in my recent video about the Turtles origin.
If you watched the whole video... who is the unknown ninja?
His name’s Jeff.
It’s Fugitoid in disguise, isn’t it?
@@lucasgibbs4050 Indeed.
Yo I have a question why wasn't fugtoid in the 1987 show
@@ARKHAM9558 I am not sure at the moment. But the show already had too many stories about robots.
I love Fugitoid, he is my favorite non-turtle character 😊 Thank you for making this video about him!
I am so glad that a lot of the material from the Original Fugitoid story was used in the 2003 TMNT series.

hi felya
I remember the Fugitoid figure being purely gold, it's so odd to see it having black highlights.
I wonder why the Fugitoid never appeared in the 1987 TMNT series because he could have been fun especially since he looks like C3po and that he would have come from Dimension X
But some androids that look like him appeared in the video games (I think it was in the Manhattan Project). Still, not the Fugitoid.
@@TheTurtleNexus well which is why I wonder why they never brought in Professor Honeycutt for the 1987 series
@@srstriker6420 It never stopped them before, but maybe it was because they already had too many robot-centric episodes.
So the Fugitoid turned out to be a ship of Theseus situation, huh?
A video about Max Winters/Yaotl would be cool he is a very underrated "villain" who deserves to make a return in new TmnT media
He is on my list... but will have to wait.

Concept
What if fugitoid 1987 built five or four robot daughters version of bubblegum crisis 1987 or sailor moon?
Oh boy the whole thing about the fugitoid being Honeycutt or not is definitely a ship of Theseus scenario.
Oh my god. His name make sence
I'm not sure I understand. If the fugitiod came out before the Ninja Turtles, then how could the Ninja Turtles appear at the end of his comic book?
