The magnetic lens holder is fantastic. Seeing that it will be easy to access the lens, people will be encouraged to clean it more often. OneLaser mentioned they will be offering a 1.5" and 4" lens, I can't see how this will work because of the limited space, do you have any details regarding this?
Appreciate the walk around video! I enjoy the pace and detail. Regarding ventilation, does it exhaust internal room temperature air, or is there an ability to cycle through external air?
My biggest question is the cutting power of the RF laser. I have a glowforge that I bought a few years ago and I am frustrated by how often I can't cut through simple materials like 1/4 plywood. I would love a laser that could successfully cut 1/2 or even 3/4 plywood. I have a CNC too but the laser would make life a lot easier for templates and small projects.
Great update! Do you or does anyone know anything about the Gravograph LS100? We have one in our office for a few years now but there is very little info that I can find online.
I don't understand the pass through, it is manual, but how can you push or pull the wood through at the right distance for the next letter (in case of a long add)?
It’s manual currently, but there are plans for a conveyer belt. For now I would think of it as the ability pass through material that is bigger than the machine to engrave on a portion. Versus engraving on the entire piece of material
Nice job on the update. It still does not look like you will be able to use different lenses, I don't see how a 1.5" or 4" would fit, can you please address this. Will early purchasers receive a new "lighter weight " laser head or should people hold off purchasing the laser until the upgrade has been put into production? If you use a separate more powerful air assist compressor, will you be able to turn it on/off from within Lightburn like you can with the internal pump? You are a very trustworthy guy, but your comment on the warranty being 3 years is misleading, only a few things (things that never break) are warrantied for 3 years, the expensive items like the laser source and optics is 1-year. It would also be nice to see some cutting tests, seeing that you rated the Thunder Bolt last when comparing it to the competition.
About the air assist question, with any laser, you will just need to wire in the compressor to the same circuit. The new compressor voltage could be different if your going with an external compressor, i dont know what each companies voltages are for their internal compressors. Short answer, yes you could make one work. You may need to add a relay or contacter and an air solonoid
@@Playswithfire3782 thank you for the response. I was hoping it would be able to be controlled right out of the box. I will not mention the manufacturer out of respect, but they have their laser setup that even if you use the built in air assist or an upgraded one, they still plug into the same outlet that is located in the back, and that outlet is controlled by Lightburn. I would not feel comfortable messing with the wiring or anything else on a brand new laser.
@1-Nice-Guy sure, if you are just upgrading to a better internal compressor, atleast with the chinese companies, it should just be plug and play. With this brand since they are kerping the prices down, im willing to bet they use the same ones.
*Does Thunder Bolt & OneLaser Ships the Laser Machines to India??* *If anyone of them does then from where can I buy it??* *Please let me know if you know anything about Shipping & support in India* 👍🏻
Universal Laser have had magnetically attached lenses/mirrors for many years (certainly on their VLS series that I have). Not one of your cheaper lasers 'tho 😁
Thank you for the thorough update; I am awaiting the shipment of my order.

For 1/2 and 3/4 you’ll probably need to up the wattage
Glowforge lens pops out and has a magnet that keeps it in place. Super simple to clean.

Do they have or will they soon have customer service here in the US?
Yep customer support is all in the US
I wonder how long those POM wheel will last in a laser environment? It would have been better to see linear rails for durability and accuracy.

This guy is clearly a hired critic, trashing this new brand in every RUclips comment, showing a strong bias.

I’d reach out to sales@1laser.com to see
Every time I see this laser it looks like an upgraded xTool P2.
It more of a downgraded Thunder Odin
