I see in this video you uploaded pictures of your product with the standard white backround. Is that a must to do? We also don't have a good quality camera. Hey 🎉 do we need to have stock for each DC so 5 for each ? Eg CPT, JHB and Durban?
@@chavonnerichards2996 not necessarily. You can sell on Lead-Time too.
If you do send stock to each, they have to be balanced according to Takealot’s requirements. It used to be 70% Jhb and 30% Cpt.
Need to find out what it is currently.
But it’s one sucky part because sometimes that’s not the ratio your products are selling in.
I’m looking on selling on takealot
Can you do it as a sideline or does it take up so much time that you must only focus on that
I would definitely recommend to start on the side for several reasons:
1. No pressure. If you’re relying on it as your main income stream, you might feel pressured and make some silly moves costing you money and frustration.
2. Can start small. Similar to above. But it means you can test small quantities of units and just get used to the system and flow of everything.
3. You can do it properly. But learning slow and steady you can form good habits, take more time to source quality items and overall add some money to assist your salary.
@ my main plan is to sell hand crafted products that is cheap quick and easy to make
Ive check the trends and seems these products do sell and ive seen is also seasonal
As I have the means to do this while I work full time

It’s unique and well worth a try! Most people are just going for the generic cheap Chinese goods and competing for the lowest price. You can really push that they’re local, hand made, and share the brand story, etc.

Hi Romero I would like to ask about the 45 up labels and the 6 up labels are the 6 up labels meant for only product labels and the 45 up for the barcodes?
@@lulunene2274 45 up for product labels (that has a barcode on it).
6 up are for shipping labels from Takealot (1 per box of products being shipped)

@@charlesmuller667 yes, you can sell as many or as little products as you’d like. Just try make sure it generates enough sales to cover the monthly fees (400-500) and that you have a decent margin on it for takealot success fees, etc. 🙌🏾

If your products were accepted, you should see them under ‘manage my offers’
Then click on the replenish stock tab at the top. 😃

Hi, I have a question am I allowed to sell temu items on takelot
@@rajivdevi3440 yes you are. But just be sure to check for the items you’re thinking of on Takealot first as competition is high from Temu and sellers are selling it for too cheap on Takealot to compete, which is not a good thing for you. So just do product research and note that as of last week, no tech products can be sold without a certification sticker.

@@healiansmusic3693 it is technically possible. But it drives me crazy. I personally need to bigger screen to do it and to store all the files.
Takealot keeps rejecting my application, what could be the reason?
@@AndileGabuza-g5m usually it’s because your product offers are not unique enough or already saturated on Takealot already.
The other reason may be the way you presented it, as in if you showed them a brochure and pictures, etc.

@@AndileGabuza-g5m amazing. Spend some time and do research first to make sure they’re not on takealot (oversaturated) and you can make a brochure on Canva.com with a free template. Put in prices etc.

is it possible to do dropshiping in takealot
@@mpumelelokhoza5706 hey there. Unfortunately it is not. You either have to have stock, or you can sell on lead-time (when you hold stock and once an order is made you then send to takealot. And takealot sends to customer). But you only have 3 days to get it to TAL wharehouse from when a leadtime order is placed.
Also do I have to pay different shipping for cpt and jhb or will it be a single fee?
@@lulunene2274 yes. The courier you choose will charge you differently as one would be further away than the other. Courier Guy gives discounts to shipments going to Takealot.
On business registration number ,when I put my registration number it says input must be at most 19 characters long,pls help
@@Ashley_Phasha yes. It just needs to be in the format as seen on your CIPC document with the ‘/‘ format.

@@tjuanaspringveldt8337 I’ve seen some suppliers sell refurbished Apple products, however I’m sure they need to be fully certified. Even if they were new, you need to show takealot you have the rights to sell them.

@@mozie.-3123 yes! They opened the Dbn DC shortly after this video was made and are still slowly opening it up to certain categories for stock to be sent. 😊
Can I integrate my shopify website with TakeAlot
@@IresonYrn not through either of those platforms. But there are some great third party softwares that allow you to do that, and manage all sales in real time through your Shopify store. You’ll still have to send stock to TAL as usual but all date with be in one place.
