Omg, I'm glad I'm not the only one! Haha I was doing my best to ignore it and enjoy all the great action but my dumb eyes kept going back to it!!!
yeah haha I did some quick thinking in that moment and opened the bail until the fish stopped ripping. But the bigger one a little later I was to slow and the line was too loose. The next day I had the guy at bass pro put the line on with the winding machine.
@FishAholicTV I always get the 400yd spools of braid and when Ian running out I tie to my reel and throw the spool overboard the drag of the boat while running packs it on nicely

Rich, I enjoy watching your videos, I can't get out anymore,health issues. You have such good fishing habits and techniques I believe if you make videos for young children that may not have a parent around to give them the basics of fishing you could influence a few to stay off the streets.

Great video good action I always use wire I know about line shyness and so on but I'm happy with what hits the line
I've been consistently not getting bites when I'm fishing with wire. The water is so clear there sometimes I think it matters tremendously

Stuart is my winter home but l am Canadian and i can tell you about mosquitoes...Get a Thermacell unit and just put it at your fillet table about 15 minutes before you start cleaning. Love to hook up with you for a charter..and get onto some of those black fin.....usually am on the beach for Pompano or the inlet for Snook.

Hey, next time, on your way out let all your line out and then reel it tight back into the reel. I do this everytime I am tuna fishing on all my rods. That way I know the line in all my reels are clean. I usually take anywhere from 5-10 rods with me.

Buy the penn line winder. Keeps nice pressure and you could have done it juat as fast as whatever you did. Its like 60 bucks. Its like a stand holds the big spools of braid.

Rich it seems like for boat fishing, you should get one of those Japanese Sabiki rods that are only for that and keep the sabiki inside of the rod to prevent tangles! I think there is a US company that makes them. PROMAR AHI USA SABIKI STICK BAIT CATCHER ROD... looks like OKUMA & Daiwa sell some too
