    This is so good, I am saving money for my first house outside the city and I am currently looking for cheap options to build houses. This came up after some research and looks super good and solid, it's like the japanese houses built with polyurethane. My only questions, can a house like this be built by a single person?

    • @juanjop2586
      @juanjop2586 5 лет назад

      Susumo Fabian .... i have the same idea . A home in the countryside is much more secure , substainable and very cheap .
      Polyurethane i think is not very friendly with health and environment .
      You can reinforce this aircrete with sand lime .... just keep looking up . there are many options.

    Hello very inspiring video. How do I sign up for your 10 day workshop? I am very interested. As an owner of land in the Philippines a country who is flag with typhoons and earthquakes this would be a structure that could withstand that. Traditional monolithic homes are a good idea as well but these are A step above that and I would be very interested to gain the knowledge and acquire the equipment to get started.. I thank you kindly hope to hear from you.

    Can I host a workshop. We want to alleviate the homeless and the city of Redding has millions of dollars for the problem but not a good plan
    We would collaborate with you and then design a perma culture of organic gardening that would make for self sustaining living.

    I love THIS. I own my land. But I'm disabled with progressive MS and not able to build myself. I live alone. I took care of my parents until they passed so it's just me. Is there anyway you could please come build one for me. I'm currently living in a very old trailer gull of mold, no water, and most electric outlets don't work. I have been praying God would send someone to help me. I believe you are the one.

    No mention of building these structures in a cold climate, like Alaska, the Dakotas, Iceland, Sweden. These are only a few. Could it be that big business is putting a hold on using this material in the main cities, where the populations are huge?

      If aircrete is just being used as framing, I don't see how common vinyl siding and fiberglass insulation wouldn't address the thermal issue.
      I could just do a large dome frame, with hexagonal vinyl siding.

    How is it reinforced?

    • @TheSatyrblue
      @TheSatyrblue 5 лет назад

      Basically you cover a section in stucco wrap the polyester reinforcing fabric (originally designed for roofing applications) and then cover it in another layer of stucco. Once this reinforcing layer is dry you would apply a final finishing layer of stucco over that.

      any type if netting made of metal, plastic ( polyethlene) or basalt netting will work. Even cloth fabric (which is plant based cotton or polyester) will work. Basically, you are creating a continuous structure with the netting. That makes collapse (even with violent earthquakes) virtually impossible.

    I have an idea. The way the blocks are made, if there is a way to simulate the Harding to block process. At least enough to “toast” to where it’s stiff enough to make a long column stand up with out support and not collapse and finish the rest of the drying process on its own... if you can do something like that...
    Visualize a perfect half ball, dome, one foot thick, now visualize a metal plate few feet long probably, likely not more that a foot tall and you set it on the floor on the inside against the dome and it perfect forms shape with the dome, and then one on the outside to compliment it. Now hold them perfectly still in place and make the dome disappear, now connect the top edge of both pieces of metal together with another piece on top. Now connect that on the pole u use to line up the structure of the dome, but it’s connected two poles one directly below the other to form a triangle, if you do the math correct, as you raise the unit, it moves along to continue the foot thick circle shape... if you can grasp what I mean... this will only work if it is a PERFECT half sphere dome, couldn’t make it any other angle...
    What’s on the other sides of the metal (not where the Air Crete is) is what will pre process “toast” the mixture. Block up one end or both if you can fill it from the top, pre-process that then unblock the ends and start rotating it along the ground slowly enough so where you fill in the direction you’re traveling it’s strong enough to not blob down , now you have a bottom ring of the dome, raise the unit up half it’s height or similar and continue the process... it would be like 3D Printing in Vase Mode... but you want these half’s where they are not linked to each other but the poles instead, so once you make it to the top and you have a hole that you cannot fully completely fill in, get on a ladder and detach the inside part and bring it down, and if the hole is big enough to stand through, be on the ladder and detach the outside layer and bring it through, actually you would wanna take all parts outside so u can make more while if finished hardening. Have some kind of scaffolding or something you can climb on to get out of the dome. Once fully hard make a block to cap off the hole and cut you windows and doors. Or put down wood slats as you go to take place of foam there you want holes and then push them through

    • @palipali4264
      @palipali4264 4 года назад +1

      Dude, I see what you are getting at!!!!!! You are taking about a manual apparatus which allows you to effectively "3D Print" your dome. I can see exactly where you are coming from . Very smart. I would want to set up a basalt rebar frame to support the structure in terms of tensile strength. But it could totally be done. I will try it on my property!!! I bet you could actually make it easier to "unmold" as you go if you used a roll of paper to line the inner and outer molds or even cloth or plastic. That would also help it cure without the addition on a separate cover. You could literally wrap it with rolls of saran wrap as you went up!!! And, if there is an overlap lip, you simply seal it with duct tape and leave it to cure long term. You literally never have to take it off and the aircrete will just keep hardening over the next two years.l Then you cover the whole structure with whatever you want and never see the plastic again. WOW.

    Is the foam concrete reinforced? If yes with what?
    What is the specific density of the foam concrete used?
    How do you make it impermeable for water? Acrylate impregnation?
    Thanks
