    Bottom strand always points to the next and you
    Round the back under over always end on an over

    I have seen that tool in many videos, but was wondering what it is and where can I get one. That would cut down on time due to my jittery hands.

      I'll be making one from a section of copper pipe , definitely looks very useful and easily made with basic tools

      It's called a Swedish fid. Great for splicing and doing knots like this. 6:43

      Usually a Swedish fid is used to better manipulate cord.
