    This looks really nice. Rattlesnake head would be really cool to add. Thanks for sharing it.

    I just completed this project! We've been traveling, and I wanted to be sure I had the time to dedicate. I worked on it over a few days, and had to re-weave a few mistakes. 😳 This tutorial was invaluable to me. Thank you... Thank you!

      Glad to hear you enjoyed the project! I may have had to go back and fix my own work a couple of times too. 😉

      @@ParacordPlanet I wish I could post photos here... anyway, on a whim I made an alternate version of the "rattles" at the finish. I added an extra length or 'cord through the D-rings and around the back of the fishtail closure, then wove a pair of Cobra knot sections for the rattles. Not bad... I like both those & the single-strand Fishtail design.

    Nicely done. Thank you for sharing. BTW, you can also use it as a really short tow strap.

    I took the easy way out ! I wrapped four strands of brown blend and two strands of brown snake on the outer edges with same "D" rings. I made the rattler tails too. It looks great ! Too bad I can't show everyone here but no pics are uploadable ! Thanks for the idea !

    Very cool, and timely as well! I've been looking for a design that will complement a hat of mine. I ordered the supplies from you today.

    I just made this project again for a friend with a black hat. The base strands were Titanium, the "diamond pattern" strands were Charcoal Gray, and the darker strands were Touch of Gray. Looks nice. I'll post soon on IG and in the Paracorner group.

    Somehow, I missed this when it was released. Did you ever make a rattlesnake's head for this hat band???

      Not yet, but let us know if that is something you would like to see in the future! 🪐

    I am curious. Most spools come with a thousand feet of cord. What is the longest weave possible out of it, in cobra or snake knot etc ?

    I have the same color hat ! Cool ! BUT my hat circumference is 25 1/2 inches. Do I use the same amount of Brown Snake as you show ?

    Hi, I just had a quick question. How wide is this band? I just thought that this is the perfect pattern for a gun sling.

    • @DickTerpstra
      @DickTerpstra 3 года назад +1

      I measured mine at 1⅜". I think it would make a cool rifle sling, and you'll likely want to jig/rig something long enough to keep it taught while you weave.

    What other colors can I substitute ? I have camo tan, camo green. tan, and more. I don' t want to order more cord now. I want to start it right away ! Otherwise I have to wait for shipping of 7 -10 days time .Thanks. I just went over your colors and I can not find anything called "BROWN SNAKE" ! What is the deal ??????

    • @ParacordPlanet
      @ParacordPlanet  4 года назад

      Technical issue on our end. That color should now be visible in our store. If you don't want to purchase more cord at the moment, you can certainly use other similar colors for this project. There are over 30 different species of rattlesnake after all-each with their own unique color pattern.

      Practically speaking, any rings should work okay. It will just look a little different in the end.

    It looks like you had a lot of cord left over at the end. (several feet on both sides). How much cord did you really use for a twenty six inch band?

    • @ParacordPlanet
      @ParacordPlanet  4 года назад +1

      Maybe 2-3 feet of each color on each side. You wouldn't want to cut it much closer than that on a project this size. You MIGHT be able to get away with about 22 ft. of each color. It really depends on how tight you tie your knots, what brand your cord is, etc.
