Hi, I am Francisco.
We are a group of vehicle enthusiasts looking for Car meets, car shows, drag racing, roll racing, New cars, etc,..
this problem is going to be similar to all BMW with N54 engine
the failure of serpentine belt is very common on N54 engine this can be caused by many different reason but the common one is by miss alignment of the pulleys caused the belt to run of the pulley and then it gets destroyed
it is important that you inspedct the pulleys before installing the new belt to prevent problems
We love performance vehicle

Also, on these engines the OE Aramid reinforced belt is a must. Polyster thread belts will not hold up to the heat and power very long.
You can always use sheet metal shims or washers to adjust the angle of the pulley if it's of. Just grind and shim until it's straight.
I wonder if this guy answers people, here it goes if the belt breaks how long before it gets into the motor?
Well it’s not how long it takes it’s in a matter of seconds that belt gets wrapped around the crank pulley and by passes the crankshaft seal going now into the motor, now if your lucky and the belt didn’t get stuck with the timing chain then you should be okay as long as it didn’t skip timing or get into the oil pump causing your motor to starve of oil
@@jnx6650 Well it did penetrate my car was in the shop the timing was off and the pan was emptied out, so yea i also purchased the seal plate to make sure that doesnt happen again..
It was the crankshaft pulley
this is my brothers car, this engine is the biggest piece of shit. I will never by a car with this motor because when everything looks fine why tf would the belt just break over and over again. I'm done with this shit and it's not even my car.
