Dr. Brian Sackett, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist previously in private practice in San Jose, CA and is a recent Toronto, Ontario resident. He specializes in working with clients dealing with trauma and abuse, spiritual emergence, anxiety and couples’ communication issues. Prior to becoming a therapist, Brian worked for years in high tech in a variety of sales, marketing and engineering positions, mostly in the semiconductor industry. His undergraduate degree is a bachelor of sciences in mathematics, from Stanford University, and he has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.
He has meditated and studied meditation since he was 21 years old and has had many strong Spiritually Transformative Experiences that have motivated him to do this, including a childhood Near-Death Experience, a Shared-Death Experience, and a spiritual emergency following an encounter with Baba Ram Dass and Swami Muktananda twenty years before the Grofs

I just lost my wife to a stroke after 32 years of marriage. I resonated with so much of what Brian said, especially seeing my wife as becoming so much more than she was in this life, and yet at the same time, she is now simply her best self times infinity.

Beautiful description of the essence of a NDE Brian. The one thing I love about NDE's, it's not that religion or being religious is wrong or bad. It's the reality that one's religion/faith is not necessary to experience the LOVE of the Divine source. Atheists, Muslims, Buddhists, Hinduism... all of humanity can experience It's love. Then there's free will...
Same here. I'm not religious but i do love god, and i'm a 100% believer of the reality of afterlife or the real life.

Oh wow I’m so happy I’m hearing this story. This same type of thing happened to me when my daughter passed unexpectedly as they took me through the hallway to go see her body I was happy for her and I was thinking oh my God you did it you made it!!!! Then the thought came in my head, but you left me here… and then that moment of pure love and joy faded away. Time stood still I don’t remember walking through the hall, then … coming back to earth …I said to myself …wipe that smirk off your face because these nurses and doctors are gonna think you’re psychotic as if you wanted this .. I will never forget that happening… of course when I walked in the room saw her I became human again and it was a sad thing… frightening and sad.

Oh wow 😲 what an awesome experience you had , I'm a believer in Christ Jesus and I'm also Holy Spirit filled and led, and what I've been believing about how we should see and experience God is what you've experienced, what I've been taught over the years in the church is not really what I've been looking for until I asked the Holy Spirit to take me to a church where they worship you freely and in and from a sense of relationship in the inner man or real you or some call it spirit I wanted to grow more inside myself... He led me to a church close to where I live and when I walked inside I instantly knew this is the correct place , & how I see God is how they see Him too it is awesome to know there are similar minded people out there and what you've experienced is exactly what I believe should happen within every person here on the earth during their journey on the earth.... Thanks for sharing this experience via video I'm happy that the Holy Spirit have led me to your testimony... Cause He told me the one day that the church have been lying to his people for centuries of who He truely is therefore hindering His people from experiencing Him in the real sense....

I suspect the people who submit their stories have no control over titles, because rather early in the video he does say he is spiritual.

This gentleman was wonderful and this story is beautiful. He felt genuine and I got a calm feeling from him, which is a good sign.

I rejected religion for spirituality in my teens after having an OBE, similar to NDE but. you are not clinically dead. God has no religion but LOVE, the only true religion of God.

I also consider myself atheist & I was able to connect through the creator through a spiritual level. You don’t need church to connect to his fatherly love. Just be a good human being & remove the hatred & greed from within your soul & spread Love & Positivity.

Many religion talks about meditation even Christ. The Buddha who meditated for years and died at 80 connected to the divine through meditation.
Everybody who experiences a NDE seems to concur that we are ONE with the Creator and the Universe.
He's Spiritual not an Atheist and correct god is in our hearts Divine Consciousness Masculine and Feminine energy.

I love God too and religions not so much! God will always direct you to truth and I follow Jesus and he shows me truth and it's not just in the books voted and altered by man! Jesus taught the kingdom of heaven is within you and you are the temple of God, which we are part of the creator and it's all about waking up!

There is much more to God than what NDE'rs have experienced. God cannot be explained or reasoned into a human explanation nor a human being's out of body experience. What they see or saw is nothing in comparison to what God has in store for those that love Him and worship Him. I pray that people don't listen to the people who don't believe that 'everything that has breath should Praise the Lord". The tongue is deceitfully wicked, and the heart speaks what it does not know. Give everything the God and the Lord Jesus will light our paths.
Just don't believe in the "literal" word of the bible as it has many in-consistencies and contradictions.................
I believe in a God but not the God of the Bible.
Especially the Old Testament God. That being is a pure psychopath. He embodies all the negative emotions like wrath, jealousy, violence. There isn't a loving bone in his body. Only those who strictly obey are saved. Love and kindness have nothing to do with it.
@@Gunsight-One if God is Holy and just and good and love, then He absolutely must judge wickedness. If sin separates us from God, then wouldn’t you expect Him to address that lovingly and righteously? Just some advice, if you don’t understand the character of God, do not judge Him. Instead of insulting the God of the Bible, ask Him why those things happened in the Bible. You’ll find out quickly just how wicked the human nature is and just how holy Jesus is.

This reminds Me of the person that doesn't think aliens exist. Until of course, they are taken aboard an alien space Craft and had alien experiments done on them.
One correction to what this gentleman has said. Many Christians and religious people, who pursue spiritual growth, know that God is not just outside ourselves. So this gentleman's thought in that area isn't accurate. For a vast majority of Christians, we know we are to grow in personal unity with God. We know God's spirit is within us, influencing and guiding us, as we choose that. I wanted to clarify that because many religious people aren't just religious. We are spiritual as we pursue more. Everyone I associate with in Christian circles is of that mindset. We understand that God indwells everyone if they embrace Him. His breath keeps us all alive and we can go as high in spiritual growth as we choose to.

I think that the title of this RUclips is not correct. I have always believed in God, which by definition makes me not an atheist. And I don't know that religions describe God any differently than I would. The experiences in this RUclips happened to me and have shaped my lifelong pursuit of meditation and spirituality, as well as my understanding of God. I would like the title of this talk to be changed to more accurately reflect what it contains, and not call me an atheist. Thank you.

It's really sad that christians just can't admit that this version of God is way better than their own because they think they're betraying the biblical version of God by admitting that and saying he has flaws......
Religion is so oppressive and I really wish people would just be more spiritual. If everyone was spiritual then we could all get along together but none of this coexist movement religion be yes because you can't have all religions co exist if they all have different doctrines and morals of living..... That's like trying to mix oil and water in a pot you just can't do it.... Yeah they may still be in the same space but they're not mixing well together.... But if everyone is spiritual then that problem vanishes.

Lovely account, thank you. A note of caution, though, if I might be so bold. As is the case with Physics, maths and universal constants, there is ultimately I believe one absolute truth out there. In religion we are persuaded to believe that ALL paths lead to God ... but do they, actually. Think about it: If Eternal Heaven is indeed utterly love and without sin, then some universal by-pass was required to nullify your sin and my sin and everybody else's sin for all time: And on that score, that is where Christianity proves true. Christ, being God's own Son, was the only person to have achieved this by-pass by offering up His own body as a sacrifice for all sin. By coming back to life in His glorified body was to demonstrate that After Death, through Jesus, we all can come back to life in glorified bodies for all eternity to come. I admit, its not the most glamorous of truths but according to all that we have learned in theological matters, these are the parameters by which Heaven functions. Hope that helps . There's religion and then there is a relationship with Jesus who was a real divine person who came to earth. The Vatican even has records about his crucifixion. The Bible says in many different places that " God is light ". The Bible never said God is a particular religion. If one reads the Bible, it mentions spirituality, and nothing about Religion. Religion was created by man to divide us people. The best book thst describes why God created us is " The Sleeping Prophet " by Edgar Cayce. Id recommend to anybody to read thst book. We are all sparks of the Divine light, and within thst God light ge creates

I've had countless NDE's in my past 30 years from opiates and fentanyl overdoses and I haven't seen or heard anything at any one of these times. These are fascinating stories but I think it's fabrication for entertainment purposes or other misleading tactics articulated by the Powers that be.... Or more DMT derived experiences. I'm very interested in this because i suffer from psychological mental illnesses plural! And years of treatment still hasn't truly helped me the way I've been hearing the DMT realms and experiences of stories such as this.
There's a big difference between DMT induced experienced and REAL l NDE's. One of those examples is how NDErs often talk about how they were able to see themselves being operated on in the hospital and recited to doctors what was being done to them... another are shared NDes where others close to the subject have experienced much of what the NDers experienced.
I really hope.you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior... What you experience as a 3-year-old child You were not of the age of accountability, so you would not experience anything hellish. At that age..., if you die in your current state, you will go to hell... I pray you accept that jesus christ is lord and you're savior...
