I started taking voice lessons about six months ago and felt like it was silly to do this at my age to also get over my fear of solo singing but now I see that I’m not alone!! ❤

Tara and Candace. I listened to both your podcasts a couple weeks ago and immediately went to Tara's website. I am actually signed up with one of Tara's coaches, TJ, this coming week to take my first online vocal lesson! Thanks to you both for inspiring me and giving me courage. I am not a performer, but I am a songwriter who typically does my own "scratch track vocals" for our demo singers. I sound horrible and my throat often hurts when I am done. So, Candace, if I can do this you can definitely do it! I cannot wait to see how you progress. Abby

I seen an ad yesterday or day before about this lady teaching singing. Good on you for facing your fear but I could feel your fear. I would love to feel confident to sing in front of people because I am like you. I love to sing in the shower and at church but except in a choir where I blend in I am petrified to sing in front of people where the focus would be more on me.

I have almost the exact same range as you. Maybe a little lower. And I sing my talking voice. I’m loving this series!
I’m pretty sure she has way more of a range. She was in chest voice most of the time. My voice coach uses the term pharyngeal voice for the middle register which mixes with chest at points in the transition and with head voice a little higher or can mix with all three. I know different coaches use different terms, but I understand the three registers best that way. Way to go, Candace!!
