What happened to our past Glory? Sprinter. Olympic gold medalist in the 60s if not mistaken. Ang Peng Siong , Silat , footballer Fandi Ahmad and other footballer that. Ring glory to Singapore in SEA Games n international competition. Hope they fully compensated for their hard work and bring glory to Singapore. Not forgotten. Now She lucky she be able to compete with the support for government incentives etc. Earlier sportsman and woman are only numbers to Sg. They deserved recognition and given them rewards.

So proud of Shanti. Sad that Singapore govt only wants to sponsor bao jiak (sure win) candidates and not there to support talent. SSA takes a big cut on winnings and glory but hardly there to support emotions of sports person, look at Feng and Schooling.
I hope the agencies that took away her scholarships while she was injured have at least the integrity to not claim any credit for her success now or feature her as their poster girl now.
