What a lovely, touching, and deserved honor. You really knocked it out of the park, Don!
I've had the honor to meet Don WILSON many , many years ago after a show at Busch Gardens (Florida).
A great guy so humble. I will never forget .GOD bless you SIR.
The whole reason I ever started playing the guitar is because of The Ventures. I remember as a kid playing the album’s Lets Play with the Ventures. I still play guitar as my favorite hobby. I can play just about 20 Ventures songs by memory. The Ventures have inspired so many of the great guitarists and drummers over the years. Don is the last remaining original Venture. My two favorite groups were The Ventures and the Shadows. I was so lucky to have seen The Ventures play live. Glad to see the group is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
I may still have an old ventures album. This was cool.
Great performance in honor of a great guy!
If Lukather is playing lead, you know its gonna be great
La Nueva Generación de The Ventures? Que bien.
😍😍😍
It's a shame to think that when Don retired Ventures, you were part of Ventures.
Wow
I'm glad Don got the life time award but I dont understand why my dad never did? My dad has played with a handfull of big time artist over a 50+yearspan.
Who's your dad and who did he play with?
@@LarsenTV1 Gerry McGee He has been withy The Ventures, Kris Kristofferson, Eric Clapton, recorded with Elvis, The Monkeys to name a few. If you search Gerry McGee-The Ventures, you may find a lot more.
@@SeanChristopherMcGee Wow, Sean! Yes, I know your father's work. A great player. Never had the chance to see him, but truly a giant in the guitar world!
Sean M. I have seen your dad play with the Ventures when Nokie was not playing your dad filled in for him. He had more of a country style which I enjoyed. He deserves an award too. Yes he played with many other great musicians too. I believe he did the guitar work for Last Train to Clarksville. Sorry to here of his recent passing. I lost my father too last year.
@sean m Your dad autographed my Mosrite in 1988
Someone needs to tell that drummer it's not the friggin 80s no more so get rid of that hair!
He's stuck back there on the time track.
