- Steve Vai - "Foxy Lady" @ TEC Awards 2012 feat. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Orianthi, Will Lee & Larry Batiste and the 2Cold ChiliBone TEC
Band. Видеоклипы
Great to hear Will Lee singing. He's an amazing bass player and a perfect pro -- plays any style and with anyone -- and adds to the table always. One of my heroes.
There's not enough people talking about Jeff Baxter.
The “skunk” is a beast plus smart as hell. Lol!
what a fool believes
Guitarist, uber technician, innovator, articulate sage.
Jeff's the man...
One of the all time greats. 3 lead guitars, I'm in heaven.
Steve...you guys rocked!! & Orianthi is awesome 2...!!! Great vocals byJeff!!
Will Lee on vocals kilked it! Consummate pro.
Beautiful!
Congratulations, Steve!
Steve you are the coolest shit!. The Skunk is a rocket scientist so there's some serious tech to the tec. Orianthi played a crucial role in helping Will Lee hit the high notes. (I won't clarify if it was by helping rigid up his posture or by kicking him in the junk). Good times folks. The intro led me to believe I was at a church...
AWESOME !
Steve Vai is a hero of mine and has had a profound influence on me musically for the best part of 25 years... but F*** me what a player Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter is - at 3:36 for no more than 9 seconds he smoked his fellow guitarists out of the water with a proper 'outside' solo... AWESOME! Respect due (and I'm gonna be looking up his backcatalogue like yesterday) Love it!
love her
Awesome!!
Love it
Carlos Santana considers Orianthi to be a triple threat... passing the torch to this fab Aussie smokin' hot Voodoo Chile.' Carlos, dude, I agree.
Amazingly Awesome
yes way AWESOME!
Steve vai is just awesome!nice to see Orianthi too
Great vocalist!!!!
"From the Michael Jakkenthsrsjdsfj this it tour." 0:04

Fantastically.
Thanks for your sincere compliment and love,I'm not complete without you as my fan 🌹🎸I have you to be most thankful for🎸🎸🌹
Thank you for uploading this... Bur more than this... thank you for all the beautiful music. I loved your acceptance speech... It was full of gratitude and humility... I share your philosophy, somewhat. You've been a great inspiration to so many, myself included... keep sending out those vibrating thoughts for they eventually ripple back like glorious reverb... magnifying all good things. I toast your courage and conviction... Congratulations... Tanti Aguri ! (may be misspelled... sorry.)
Orianthi!! No matter what these a-holes, that never played with anything but themselves say, you rock and you do it real fine!!! Keep on and don't stop!!!
The sound of the World!
what is wrong with sound engineer
It may have sounded good in the room. Not an uncommon phenomenon for the in room recording to sound like shit
this insane three
Steve is the man.
Bravo
i love those chords skunks playing at the start, so cool
Love Orianthi.
That Foxy Lady Rocks!!!
The old man wins without a doubt! Awesome licks/runs!
I'm honestly not getting why everyone's giving Orianthi a hard time, I'm personally fond of her. I might not think she's the BEST, but I definitely look up to her in the sense that she's obviously capable of much more than I am at writing and playing music.
Can everyone please stop trying to be a critic and enjoy the music?
I simply don't see her able to use her 4th finger, that's all I can say ;)
I know I'm replying to a very old post, but I thought it was cool that she was up on stage with them covering Hendrix.
I like Blondie! She's got the look and the groove down so much! She is so real here!
Ah I see, thanks man!
Omg shredd chick!!!!!!!!!
mistrzostwo świata!
greetings from Poland! ;)
Just ask anybody that plays a vintage stringed instrument, and the two things that most effect tone are 1) A very lightweight wood that is torsionally flexible but laterally stiff 2) A lightweight finish that is so brittle on the outside that it has cracked into billions of micro crystals, but has remained soft enough on the wood side to be a flexible base for the microcrystals.
This is what makes Stradavarius's so expensive, they have the maximum amount of these qualities
Wow thanks Steve :)
good frenzy of improvisation, this year's C-sharp is bound to honor the solos! Congratulations to you nice groove! it must be too good to improvise a solo with the master Vai next to you!
Thanks my friend....
:).
cool the way Via plays the same chord all up and down the kneck without even having to think bout it , Vai the master !
been all day whatchin vids about this song and no body does it better then jimmi hendrix R.I.P
It's true. She is still dealing with stuff that would keep most players out of the spotlight. Her time feel and her tuning when she gets nervous or excited are the big ones for me.
The Skunk is the man super clean versatile player he definitely has stood the test of time stamping his overwhelming mark on a plethora of music
Cool video.
Muy bueno
Que loira cativante, toca muito.
this s great
free play
If Vai wants her on stage, then she is definately worthy. They all rock
Jeff Baxter and Steve have history :)))
STEVE VAI!!
4:04 look at the strings in slow motion holy shit :O
Arman Z. If you have a good locking tremelo system, you go all out. \m/
This is it!!!!!!! The best after Jimmy!!!! He will be very proud!!!!!
Is it just me or what, but i hear an absolutely terrible mixing!?
Very interesting is the presence of Orianthi, I see it often in your videos. It 's rare that you share the stage. It must be a special person!
I love Orianthi!!!
Love how non musicians comment about people that can play. They also pick a guitar hero and that's it...no matter what they have to be the best ever. All of these performers did a good job. Jimi was great and a pioneer, but there are many many many better players than he was. He just did a lot of things first, which I agree are fantastic. That being said, I do not have a favorite but do enjoy Vai ( personal opinion). He is not only a great player, but spends hours on end learning new things everyday. Very few musicians do that consistently.
cool : )
awesome but the mix is crappy i can´t hear vai here
steve and ori rocks..... :)
Jeff rocked
Steve steals the show... ;)
Yes, thank you for your kind remark; So it's come to me that IMAGE is MORE important than the quality of music in this ceremony ? Damn that's hard to swallow when someone plays for a living.
Fun fact: Jeff "Skunk" Baxter played bass in Jimmy James and The Blue Flames. Hendrix band before The Experience.
Had no idea!
The old guy really nailed his part too.
ela é ótima.
👏
Remix and let the 3 guitaRRISTS BE HEARD PLEASE.
I don't care what the opinion is. I think Orianthi looks damn cool here. Vai is looking seriously swish with his shorter hair and suit. Everyone's just got a really cool look!
i love steve played jimi's song... i love them both
Massa mesmo a mulher tira onda toca bem tbm !!
4:34 , foreveralone at the right
cool
The Greats Playing Great !
God dam.. Ori!
Bass player has an awesome voice.
I think it’s cool Steve is using the Legacy 3 here. Only time I’ve seen him use it
Between Orianthi and the hair cut, it's the first time Steve's not been the sexiest person on stage in forty years.
3 brill guitarists+playing foxy lady=epic O_O
Roos Bolton in th rhythmic guitar one o the best funk guitar player
R.I.P.
thank you cameraman :D
Not words to say something!

That girl is Orianthi Panagaris she's been lead guitarist for michael jackson and alice cooper over the years her equipment brands that i know are PRS, Jackson, Gibson and ibanez and i'm pretty sure that the guitar on this video is a PRS :)
Orianthi is her name she is a Greek-Australian guitarist who most notably played guitar for Michael Jackson on his ill fated "This is It" tour.
G3...I miss u...
female thrashist amazing chops
how appropriate of a song.
@BlackenedFifth hehehehe, best description!!
wil lee got some pipes,
Most people don’t know Skunk works for the Dept of Defense as an expert - guess his years of “skunk” didn’t stop his background check
