These guys had a chance to be one of the great ones despite the loss of Isbell. Then they lost Shonna. Then John Neff and took with him that steel guitar and some great guitar licks. Replaced both with the Beatles haircut guy who has the charisma of this font type and the kid Gonzalez who isn’t half the player Neff was. Now it just looks sloppy. English Oceans came out to great critical acclaim but I can’t remember one song from it I’d like to hear in concert in retrospect. Damn I wanted to like this group. One of the best concerts I’ve been to with Shonna and Neff. Haven’t seen them live with this lineup anywhere but here and I’m okay with that.
Neff was one of the best steel guitar players I've ever heard, but this lineup is GREAT. I've seen DBT 20+ times, and this is a great thing they have going. (And I think Patton's a better bass player, honestly). American Band and The New Ok are among their best material, right alongside TDS and DD.
I saw them a few months ago. It wasn’t great but still pretty good. They were playing a festival in my town and I convinced all my friends to go saying they will love it and we were all pretty disappointed lol
Truly awesome from the mighty DBT
Patterson is American Music Royalty.
Great!!! Let there be rock!!!!!!!!!!! DBT are great, they were, they are and pray they will be in years to come!!! Long live PH & MC
This is the first time I saw the bass players sing! Not bad. The "Flying V" Cooley's playing is a great throwback to the hard rock days...
Never saw Lynyrd Skynyrd either ... but I DID see the Clash and Blue Oyster Cult!
“…a case of Sterling Big Mouth…” oh my!
